  1. Beane has made my opinions sound stupid before.... but Kroft and Gore ~= same $ that Humphries got. Dudes highlight real was loaded with him creating YAC, with Fitzys weak arm getting him the ball. Strong armed qb like Allen gets him the ball quicker and a split second is huge for a YAC guy. Feel like we really dropped the ball here. Should have overbid for him

Oh yeah! That's gonna be awesome. Guys like Dion Jones trying to taking a Mike Alstott.

Meh, it is and it isn't.

Really the reason that this evolution happens is the way the farm system (college) affects the NFL. It's even crazy looking all the way back to Pewee and little tykes... People complain about a lack of black QB's, but the young teams that I've helped coach have always had white QB's cause the black kids are typically much better athletes and are wasted at QB when the QB does nothing. That trend goes all the way through College. It's such a waterfall thing.

Super interesting but yeah have definitely seen that now that its brought to my attention

Did you know... that the Iron Maiden wasn’t an actual midevil torture devise? Think of all those peasants who could have enjoyed this, but instead received the breaking wheel and the oven shoes instead because it wasn’t invented back then. Shame.

Id rather make 2 reservations to the Iron Maiden than one trip to the breaking wheel

I think Arizona is what we refer to as a cluster***k over here in the UK. They seem all over the place.

There are twitter rumours out there supporting the Casserly story about Murray interviewing terribly and even saying a team "with real interest" has now "removed him totally from their board". Now I doubt that is Arizona.... that would be an embarrassing climb down but who knows with the mess there?

Its definitely not Arizona. Rosen was rumored off many teams boards, but Arz took him in the 1st. No way Murray came off wore than Rosen.

If he is talking about confidential draft plans with random friends outside of the organization, he's a tremendous fool.

So for that reason, I'm calling BS. If anything, it's a smokescreen.

I just can't envision a situation where anyone in a position like that could let that slip to anyone. I wouldn't take such a huge risk. I wouldn't tell my wife, my kids, my best friend, or anyone who does not NEED to know. Why? Because it WILL end up on message boards, on Twitter, etc.

Even if its true, thats part of the "smoke screen". If every little thing that leaks out is 100% false, you would just disregard 100% of intel. You drop a bone here or there justttttt enough to keep people off balance. Do you do that with the QB position? Questionable, but again just adds to the confusion. Still appreciate the post YOLO. These guys dont get to this level without considering every angle, to the point of being comical.

If this board is sitting around talking about it, imagine how many of the other 31 teams have atleast discussed it. Add every other team in the league playing the same game.... imagine how much complete bullsnap these guys have to consider day to day hahahahaha glad i dont have to try and decipher all of it

I think a lot of people on this board are getting too far over their skis with their expectations for the Bills this season.  I think we can be in the mix for a Wild Card at the end of the season but we are not going to be making a playoff run this year.  McBeane knows that.  McBeane is still working on setting the table this year.  He is not building a roster in this year's free agency and draft to win in 2019, he is looking at least one more year down the road.

That's why I'd be surprised if McBeane goes TE shopping in free agency this year.  This is one of the deepest TE drafts ever and we have boatloads of picks.  Why burn a big chunk of cash on a middle of the road free agent TE when you can get a good one on a rookie contract and let him develop on a team friendly deal for the next four years?  I wouldn't be surprised to see the Bills grab two TEs in the draft this year with Clay being released.  I do hope he goes after O-linemen aggressively in free agency this year.  Talented "Hog Mollies" are really hard to find and need some time playing together to really gel and become a solid unit.

Realistically, years 3/4/5 of Josh Allen's rookie contract are when we will have a team ready to start making deep playoff runs.  That is not this season.  If Allen continues to develop this year he will be ready to roll and we should have a roster built of young and talented 2nd , 3rd , and 4th year players with a few key veterans on each side of the ball ready to take that step along with Allen.

I think Beane and McDermott feel like Terry and Kim have their backs and will give them the time they need to  build a roster the right way for long term success.  I'm a long suffering Bills fan just like everyone else here but I'm willing to wait one more year if it will help create a team capable of sustained excellence like in the Kelly Era.  I think that is the type of roster McBeane is trying to build.

I think McBeane's offseason moves this year are designed to bear fruit in two or three years when the Bills are in their playoff window, not this year.  I think McBeane is looking at this year's free agency  and draft with a different timeline in mind compared to many here and it will color every decision McBeane makes.

This makes me think of his Wyoming coach talking about Josh while in a practice. He said there was a play they were running and Josh was supposed to throw the ball to the RB in the flat. He proceeds to unleash a 60 yard bomb. The coach says, "Josh, the play was supposed to go to the RB in the flat." Josh says, "Coach, Favre says Touchdowns first."

Josh is always looking for the big play. Once he reels that in a little bit and adds that balance then he will be tough to handle.

I get where this isn't ideal.... but after my entire adult lifetime of Trentative Bills passers, that quote tickles me where i like being tickled ???

    Brees is overrated

You hear all this MVP talk and how he hasn't thrown a pick in 5 years and completes 90% of his passes then his offense doesn't do squat and he tosses up a gift of a puck in OT and spends weeks whining that the Rams db didn't turn around and intercept his other softball for a pick 6 to end the game in regulation

Dude got hit as the ball came out lol theres no way you believe what you wrote

I guess that’s what an agent’s job is?

Unless an agent has his own agenda between two or more close deals. I dont understand how nobody else can see a nice visiting locker room setting our perceived image apart from other teams. If anyone thinks a scummy visiting locker room is winning us game somehow than why hasnt it worked lol. No brainer money to spend here

In pop culture the term is called, Chasing the Dragon.

Also, I spent a little bit of time trying to articulate that thought and actually felt a little choked up typing it. It's always nice to see a completely dismissive response with absolutely no merit come in immediately.  Never change TSW. Never change.

It choked me up and was a pretty deep thought for a superficial part of our lives. Good post.

I guess you didnt see that 2 out of the 1st 5 posts in this thread were saying leslie is bad at making the calls? Not only were they wrong bcuz he was the one making them today but jeez, we win a game nobody thought we were gonna win, and ur 1st impulse is to dog a coach. Idk man, just a Bills fan thing to do i guess

I didnt dog anyone.  Holy **** man. I was looking for something tangible other than, we looked good. Frazier got the game ball. So you can understand wanting clarification. To be honest i hope mcd was calling d today for some signs  of consistency from the defense
