Well, I guess it will come down to this. The plagiarism cops will be copying and pasting text from Donald Trump's many (previously unread by anyone (other than the Art of the Deal) to see what his ghostwriters might have stolen. Nobody reads campaign books. Nobody cares. Bottom story of the day, as they used to say in the newspaper business.

This makes no sense. Not everyone is like you or (no offense intended) @Tiberius: people who are extremely partisan. I think all the recent Venezuelan single male entrants should have been detained by ICE as the law authorizes (or even mandates; it's debatable). So yes, fair to say that Biden/Harris are a cause of the issues in Aurora. But "takeover" and all that is silly and doesn't fit the facts on the ground.

Trump 2024?

Agreed. Ask them about the proper role of the federal government. Trump is a born again states rights proponent on the abortion issue. Ask him: "is it your understanding of the Constitution that the federal government has no role in regulating abortions, and it is a wholly state issue?" If he answers "yes," then ask him: "Is it within a state's rights to enact a law criminalizing a woman traveling to another state/country to get an abortion?" Let's discuss the proper scope of federal authority. That would be enlightening an actually interesting. Gotcha questions tell us nothing. -
How about some facts instead of talking points. Mike Coffman is Mayor of Aurora. He was a former Republican congressman. He is a Republican. He has "moderated" his previous strong anti-illegal immigration stand because he now represents a diverse (suburban) city. He denies any "takeover" of apartment buildings, but clearly admits there are serious safety concerns regarding these buildings and recent Venezuelan illegal immigrants. Aurora already had a lot of problems with crime, mostly involving black gangs. So if the map someone posted calls these parts of Aurora a "high crime area," well, that's nothing new. Aurora also includes some wealthy subdivisions that are very safe. It's a big chunk of land to the immediate east of Denver. The landlord is a slumlord. True. I would be surprised if the landlord didn't contract with Aurora to provide this housing to the new immigrants. That's how it happens. They weren't forced on them. They're a landlord. The Venezuelans are tenants regardless of how they come up with rent money. There are gang members in some of those buildings. Aurora suspiciously shut one down on habitability (not crime) issues, probably as a shortcut to the eviction process. Most of what I've seen of Venezuelan gang crime is Venezuelan gang members preying on other (non-gang) recent Venezuelan immigrants. In other words, exactly why those law-abiding Venezuelans fled their country: to get away from gang violence like "protection money" etc. It is a problem, and a serious one. It is not a "takeover" of Aurora.

Mac Jones appears to be about the 35th best QB in the world. Daniel Jones appears to be about the 31st best. But that's for the football side.

Trump 2024?
The Frankish Reich replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Why our "debates" are so stupid and useless. The moderator should ask factual questions: name the countries that border Ukraine. Who is the leader of Romania? What is the projected federal budget deficit for FY 2025? What exactly did Roe v. Wade say about when a woman has a right to get an abortion? Name the 5 leading trade partners of the USA. Etc, etc. Hugh Hewitt did this with Trump back in 2016: "What is the nuclear triad?" Trump had no idea. Hewitt back then thought this should disqualify him as the Republican nominee. Guess he's changed his mind .... -
The National Border Patrol Council is the Border Patrol union. If you want to see a key reason why they support Trump, take a look at the contract Trump's DHS negotiated with the union, giving them all kinds of special benefits that you wouldn't find in any other federal government union contract, including several 100% "union time" jobs for the union leadership. This means that a union BP leader is technically a BP officer but actually spends zero time on actually protecting the border and 100% of his "work" time on union matters, which appears to include endorsing Trump's border policies. How the game is played.

Funny how Mr. Speaker says the program allowing use of FEMA funds for immigrants didn't start under Trump; it started "under Joe Biden in 2020." I thought Biden was inaugurated on January 20, 2021. Classic own goal. Because it is irrelevant to my post. I pointed out a real honest-to-goodness MSM press scandal. One that may also have implications for how the MSM has covered the candidates. And you responded with a classic deflection about Gaza or something.

Not the most physically gifted but he competes each and every game. What Fitzy wishes he could've been. And he did get us into the playoffs. -

There is nothing that makes me look for injury footage more than that comment. -

Broncos have now gone to short yardage specialist rookie Audric Estime, running from his own 8 yard line. Because, you know, they're only down 23-0 in the 4th. Sean Payton = Genius. -
