Biden Has Covid
The Frankish Reich replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Has anyone examined Kimberly Guilfoyle? -
In a primary, where they chose delegates who under the party rules have a conscience clause, wherby they can vote for someone else at the Convention. Everyone seems to agree that the issue is whether Biden will drop out; if he does, then by definition they go to plan B and decide it at the Convention.

Boo effin hoo. Maybe it would be better if Kamala as VP just rejects the electoral slate from a few Republican states. I guess you think that's fair. You said the debate once and for all proved he's unfit to be president. Now apparently all the important Democrats agree. Good. Maybe we'll have a good race based on policies and visions for the future instead of whether Joe successfully navigated the stairs. Be careful what you wish for!

Yes, I did, when it was pretty new. It is well written, thoughtful, and honest. It doesn't try to "fix" anything; it just shines a light onto the nature of the problem. I'm about 3/4 of the way through the movie now, which is much better than I expected too.

J.D. Vance - Character and Policies

I'm not so sure. This is certainly the case now, but will it be in 10 years? -
J.D. Vance - Character and Policies

Young people do need to think: am I embarking on a career that can be automated? Performed by AI? By remote workers abroad? Building things, plumbing, making sandwiches, whatever - these will still be largely on-site jobs. On the other hand, some high paying jobs today like Radiologist? Pathologist? Jobs that will be overtaken by AI. -
Parts were good. He does have a compelling story; he should've stuck to it. I know it won't get fact checked anywhere, not even in that liberal MSM. But if you read Hillbilly Elegy, it's hard to see how his litany of Biden actions - supporting NAFTA, supporting the Iraq War, supporting freer trade with China - had anything to do with his childhood in a declining region of America. It is clear that the Vance family had fallen into serious decline well before even the first of those actions. The book itself is focused on a collapsing white rural/small town American culture, of which Vance's family was emblematic. Now that he and Trump are looking for nothing more than votes from that part of the country, the cultural critique is completely excised from his speeches. It's all about what outsiders like Biden have done to them, rather than what they've also done to themselves. He has become the enemy, the type of Politician he used to decry.

I now expect you to lay off the Hunter Biden jokes forevermore.

Do you think JD will have his mama there? Did he provide her a clean urine sample so she can pass the background check? Will little Vivek have HIS hair in a pomp?
-
You gotta admit it. Kim’s a fright now.
-
Oh you’ve been waiting. This Kimberly’s tuck underpants seem to be working nicely, but those veins popping in her neck under that big wig? Come on honey, it’s called a turtleneck. Have Donboy get you one!

A drag queen who calls himself “Kimberley” is now speaking.

Superb job of Whitesplaining!

I don't think you can find any appreciable loss of production attributable to Biden policies. Perhaps over the long term (5-10 years/exploration/drilling/time to market) but certainly not over the 3.5 years of his presidency. Even lazier: just keep right on saying that under Biden oil production is down.

Do you think appearing on stage with indicted gangstas to appeal to black voters is an honorable thing? They're out on bail under NYS's bail reform laws. I thought we didn't like those laws. We're tough on crime unless some sector of the criminal class and their family members may vote for us? Reminder: these rappers are out on bail facing Conspiracy to Commit Murder. Hey, let's invite them on stage! Murderers are eligible to vote until they're actually convicted. And maybe find me a pro-baby killer Satanist praiser to diversify my RNC. Not sure we have a black woman scheduled yet.
-
I expect him to do a little more poorly. What's happening - and it's transparent now at the RNC - is Trump's attempt to broaden his appeal beyond "poorly educated whites" to "poorly educated blacks and Hispanics." We did have Ben Carson - a highly educated black man - and Tim Scott - a well educated black man - speak, but that was part of the Presidential Losers Gallery. The focus is on expanding his appeal to low education voters in general. And that will work to some small extent, but there's no mass movement among black voters. Look at how he's trying to appeal to black voters: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/05/24/us/politics/trump-rappers-bronx.html The anti-crime candidate is inviting indicted gang criminals to appear with him. The idea being "look, I'm accused of crimes just like a lot of you." Which is offensive on so many levels.

We're not. https://ycharts.com/indicators/us_ending_stocks_of_crude_oil_in_the_strategic_petroleum_reserve#:~:text=Basic Info,7.46% from one year ago. We're not. The price of gas is lower than it was in 2012, even without inflation adjusting. https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=pet&s=emm_epmr_pte_nus_dpg&f=a

So ... you agree that Scalise was spouting bs here? You missed the key one about the Chrisley Crime Family crying about how prison isn't as nice as they hoped it would be.
-
Aww, all Vivek wants to do is break bread with you! Is that too much to ask?

Thank you for the reminder, @B-Man. It's time to check on Trump's "My Black" for the month of May. Holding steady at 5 monthly Spotify listeners! Curiously, his previous top track (the unforgettable "I Made Her Fall in Love with my Dick") has been supplanted by the equally compelling "Your Hair." It's a groundswell! Next thing you'll be telling me that a Satan-adjacent pro-abortion face-tattood black woman (whose former boyfriend Trump refuses to call for the deportation of even though he's an illegal criminal alien) is backing Trump.

Did they wipe it? Maybe he didn't have any traditional social media (Facebook, Insta, X) at all. Not uncommon with boys at all. It may be all Discord and video game communications. As a parent of teens, I've been amazed by how "out" Facebook in particular is. They think it's for their parents and avoid it entirely.

Well, I watched the "fact check" clip here. Let's start with this one: a comment from Steve Scalise at 2:20 "They [the Biden Admin] eroded the American Energy dominance that President Trump delivered." That is clearly wrong, unless Scalise has some weird definition of "American Energy dominance" that no one else shares. Crude oil production is up under Biden, and as the CNN guy says, America last year produced more oil than any country has in the history of the world. This is why we see weird language creeping into the Republican talking points. No longer do they say "energy independence" or even "drill baby drill." It's now amorphous things like "energy dominance" or "true energy independence" - meaningless terms meant to confuse you, the low-information voters.
