Hunter Biden trial starts today
The Frankish Reich replied to 4th&long's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Hunter Biden is pretty obviously guilty of a charge that is almost never brought on its own. Hey, sometimes who you are matters in whether or not you get prosecuted. -

Since you asked: 1. The schemes (and I use that word on purpose) were not equivalent. One (Clinton) involved a circuitous funding of what would be called "oppo research." The other involved what is quite accurately called hush money. 2. Clinton's campaign and lawyers were smarter. This one is not debatable. The Clinton campaign engaged Perkins Coie, a major firm with really smart lawyers experienced in this area of law. Perkins Coie then engaged the services of that Fusion GPS joint, which in turn engaged the services of dossier creator Christopher Steele. Trump's campaign used Michael Cohen, a terrible lawyer who went to what is usually considered the worst accredited law school in America, who of course was a "fixer" more than a lawyer and who really didn't know what the hell he was doing when it comes to campaign laws. He did a ham-handed coverup and got caught. This is no doubt because Trump's issue was one involving covering up his own misdeeds; Clinton's campaign was more interested in pinning other alleged misdeeds on her opponent. In the end, that matters, and what would cynically be called plausible deniability matters. In other words, "I have the best people" vs. "I have a clown" matters. So there's my quick explanations. One objective, and one admittedly cynical. -

Good point, and that sounds like a decent issue on appeal. -

Spending an awful lot of time looking at trans manga, that's all I can say ... -
You've gotta get out more. I'm sure the usual alt media sources are saying this. I've seen the people who know what they're talking about say that like every other criminal conviction, getting an appeals court to overturn is a difficult slog. There are definitely appealable issues here, but there's nothing even resembling a slam dunk error by the judge.

Serious question: I didn't frequent PPP until about 2020. I used to read occasional posts, then I stumbled across the unhinged (and now deleted) "Q Analysis" thread. NC Bills has attacked other posters based on what they said 20 years ago here. Was he always like this? Or is this still the effect of being "red-pilled" by other svengalis who used to be prominent here.

Dershowitz has officially lost it. Expedite the appeal? Of course not! Donnie's strategy always has been - and still is - to run out the clock, win the electoral college in November, and get off scot free come January 20. Expediting the appeal would do him no good. Most appeals fail, and I would bet on this one failing too. If that happens and happens fast, there's nothing to stop him from going to jail before the election or (the critical date) before inauguration.

I don't agree that it was deplorable. It was unfortunate that he could not reasonably be captured and tried, but given that, the action was justified. -
Meltdown is complete. LAMP is reaching for every thirteen year old's insult in his old bag of tricks.

@BillsFanNC is so discombobulated by his Messiah's convictions that he can't decide whether everyone else is just sh!t, urine, or s[]men. He says he's a biologist; shouldn't he be better with the bodily fluids thing?

@leh-nerd skin-erd says it's because the Dems want you to live in a Prague-ish maisonette. Which actually sounds kind of nice. Maybe a Belgrade Brutalist Bedsit? -
Funny, but you know better than that. Barack Hussein Obama of Kenya is pulling all the strings. Or maybe his husband, the so-called Michelle Obama. And probably George Soros is pulling the Obamas' joint strings way behind the scenes. B word set me up! made him screw hookers, just like they made Marion Berry smoke crack back in the day

Would be funny if RFK Jr. hadn't suggested the same thing with respect to Jews Interesting, isn't it? Actual evidence in that Bridgeport mayoral case vs. lack of evidence (and a showing that purported evidence was misrepresented) in the Georgia presidential race. A fine distinction that appears to be lost on some.

Et tu, Georgie? Damn. I was hoping Trump and his $6 billion would have to do without George's fiver.
