  1. A beautiful woman who nearly died of a drug overdose in the '90s and turned her life around after finding religion. RIP http://www.cbsnews.com/news/prince-protege-vanity-dies-at-57/
  2. It was only 2 minutes in, many people hadn't made it to their seats yet.
  3. Eichel scores another slick goal. http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/gotta-see-it-another-puck-for-the-eichel-tower/
  4. Just finished the series. It was awesome, maybe even better than Daredevil. Ritter was great in the title role. Luke Cage was a great character, can't wait to see him in his own series. Tennant was spellbinding as Kilgrave. Only disappointment was that the Patsy Walker character didn't become Hellcat - hopefully in Season Two. The show had great action scenes, more sex than in any other super hero show, mystery, intrigue and humor. My favorite line was when Patsy was showing Jessica a costume she wanted her to wear and what super hero name she should adopt. Jessica - "Unless you add a little more material, the only name I could go by is camel toe." Great show, can't wait to see all of the characters in the Defenders.
  5. I'll flip the script: with a few key draft choices and FA pick-ups the defense will be top 5 next year. I still believe in Rex and think he will get it done.
  6. The festival was held on his farmland. He was forever enshrined in the Joni Mitchell song, and C,S,N & Y hit, "Woodstock." "I'm going down to Yasgur's farm, gonna join in a rock-in-roll band. Gonna get back to the land and set my soul free." https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_Yasgur
  7. I was reading through a list of actors from Buffalo and was surprised to learn that Sorrell Booke, Boss Hogg himself, is from Olean. Had I known that earlier, I would have rooted a little harder for him to catch those Duke boys. (Also just read that he's a cousin of Max Yasgur of Woodstock fame)
  8. Eichel named NHL 3rd star of the week. Scott gets 1st. http://sabreshockeycentral.com/2016/02/01/eichel-named-nhl-3rd-star-of-the-week/
  9. Loved that John Scott scored the first goal for the Pacific.
  10. An amazing read from an articulate guy. This piece makes him an all-star in my book.
  11. "I was really hoping we'd have another thread that would get hijacked to discuss whether OJ's name should come off of the Wall of Fame'" said no one ever.
  12. Here's another pic, albeit with someone's store number over it. Hopefully, you can see this one.
  13. Another rock icon has left us. I saw Jefferson Starship play on the revolving stage at Melody Fair in the early '90s. After the first few revolutions, Kantner stopped the show and said, "I feel like somebody put us in the microwave, Man." Drew a big laugh from the crowd. RIP http://www.sfgate.com/music/article/Jefferson-Airplane-s-Paul-Kantner-dies-at-74-6791483.php
  14. Nice piece that ran at the time in the Baltimore Sun. http://articles.baltimoresun.com/1991-01-29/sports/1991029177_1_mario-cuomo-buffalo-scott
  15. Yesterday marked the greatest moment of pain in Bills history, but just 24 hours later this fan base showed the team and the nation just what makes Buffalo the greatest community in the US of A. 25,000 fans showed up in the square, decked out in the red, white and blue colors of their Buffalo Bills. Scott Norwood hung back in the shadows, still smarting from missing the 47-yard field goal that would have won the Super Bowl. Without prompting, the crowd began chanting, "We want Scott." The chant grew and grew until everyone organizing the rally realized that the fans had come to give love and support to one man above all others. Norwood took to the lectern and said, "I've never felt more loved than I do right now." You've seen videos of fans looting, rioting and setting cars on fire after catastrophic losses. This past weekend, a *Pats fan called for the field goal kicker's family to be murdered in front of his eyes as punishment for a missed kick. In our worst hour, the fan base of the Buffalo Bills responded by showing Scott Norwood just why the late Tim Russert called Western New York "God's Country." Show this clip (Linked below) to your kids and grandkids because it proves that Bills fans truly are the greatest fans on Earth. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/tag/scott-norwood/
  16. "Officers responded to a domestic on the 1800 block of Springsteen Road about 8:30 p.m. Sunday, according to a police report. The victim had blood all over him when he answered the door, and officers saw the home was in disarray with blood on the walls." Talk about Thunder Road, sheesh.
  17. Ironically, his last words were, "Oh God, I'm coming."
  18. One of my favs. Antenna TV plays the old Barney Miller shows and they still hold up. RIP Abe.
  19. I think you mean Schmidt, not Schultz (he's the guy that sees, hears and knows nothing). As for the point of the post, I agree that the Bills should work on 2 pt conversions, they were awful this year, and employ them more often.
  20. Saw a pic of this awesome creation and thought of you.
  21. Just wondering if Howard Simon leaving WGR has finally come down? He hasn't been on this week and, when I've been listening, they aren't saying he's on vacation - they are either not mentioning it or are simply saying he's "off." Also, at the beginning of the week, Jeremy had a co-host I'd never heard of (can't recall his name) and I found it odd that he offered no background on the guy or why he was on. Possible audition to take Howard's seat? Is the Simon era over or am I reading too much into his absence?
  22. The new buster bars are hot, hot hot.
  23. Great pic of Glenn and the rest of the Eagles receiving honorary Sabres jerseys when they played the arena back in July of last year.
  24. Actress responds to Jada's call for black actors to boycott the Oscars. NSFW due to language. http://youtube.com/watch?v=N9eY-kKXBnQ
