  1. It makes one wonder why this little news tidbit has been swept under the rug and gotten very little media attention. Could the health condition of Kim Pegula affect the long term plans/commitments?
  2. Reports have Slayton playing third team snaps in camp and it seems he’s on the outs in New York. He’d be a great fit for what we need here. We’re obviously lacking at outside WR, he’s a proven deep threat, and he’s shown he can produce in this league even with a bad QB throwing to him. I’m not paying much (or ideally anything) but I think he’s at least worth a long look.
  3. Previously the longest suspension ever handed out for an on-field incident was 5 games to Albert Haynesworth for the head stomp a few years.back. This was WAY worse. That being said, 4-5 games is probably where it ends up.
  4. 1 year of Sammy Watkins, Ronald Darby, a 3rd round pick in 2017, a 6th round pick in 2018 and let's say OJ Mayo for Jordan Matthews, EJ Gaines, tredavious white, dion dawkins and a high end shot at a franchise QB?
  5. I think it's also fair to say that if he is hopping electric fences that this "hip injury" is a complete farce. This guy has obviously been in rehab or at least in bad shape for months now. It's beyond football now and I hope he gets the help he needs. That being said, tackle may be the biggest need on the roster. Not saying it needs first round attention, but it needs to be addressed by day 2.
  6. I have always liked Patrick Roy responding to a quote from Jeremy Roenick by saying "I can't really hear what Jeremy is saying, my two Stanley cup rings are plugging my ears". Game set match Roy.
  7. Perhaps unknowingly the Legend of St. Doug Marrone will come to fruition. He may not have the ability to save the Bills himself, but perhaps it will ultimately be his decision to walk away and open up the opportunity for Rex Ryan to step in and deliver us to the promised land that will cement his true Sainthood. Having performed his two miracles, St Doug will now slowly retire in Florida.
  8. I hope you take a personal check. I couldn't fit 25 million in cash in my hand....
  9. Obviously long gone but we used to refer to Robert Royal as Robert "oops I caught it again" Roayal. Also as more of a statement on the franchise itself we referred to Bryan Moorman as "MVP" for way too long.
  10. Born and raised here in WNY. I think a lot of it ties into a feeling of comraderie that comes from being in the "Bills family". No matter how bad things are or how bad our record is for at least a few hours every Sunday morning you forget long enough to have a few beers and talk smack to any opposing fans you might come across. I was a young kid during the glory days, but truly didn't find a passion or at least really become a devoted fan until the mid 90's. I have seen nothing but disappointment, although I know many of you have suffered much longer than I. Maybe it's just the everlasting hope that pushes us on. I'm not to proud to admit that if the song "We Are the Champions" comes on , I usually start to close and my eyes and imagine myself being at the game watching as the clock runs out and the Bills are finally victorious as tears of joy stream down my face. 11. Like anything else would take some time to spread the word. But in today's world a Facebook post that goes around the Buffalo would get to enough people to have enough people doing it for the rest of the crowd to join in.
  12. It seems like the winds of change have been blowing through WNY for a couple years now. Obviously the Dougs apparently changing the culture from the top down and of course losing the only owner our team has ever known. I know Ralph will be watching from up above in his luxury box cheering his team to victory every Sunday. I think as a show of solidarity and as a tribute that for those who attend games live, on third downs at instead of just making noise or yelling "DEFENSE" at the top of our lungs, we should all yell RALPH instead. Might be kinda cheesy but why not ask for help from our biggest fan up there.
  13. Anquan Boldin. Plays the game the right way and has been a pro bowl level WR since the day w stepped on an NFL field. Certainly not the player he once was, but is still pretty damn effective. It's always irked me that he has been traded twice in his career for a total of a 3rd and 6th round picks.
  14. We are all well aware that the future is uncertain here. We have 6 (at least) seasons left to enjoy the Bills as we know and love them. If in that timeframe we were able to win a Superbowl, would that make it bearable for you to see the team leave? Not saying it's an ideal scenario, but would it provide enough closure to make you at peace with the situation?
  15. I think it's natural for a fan of every team to overrate the talent they have. It's who you see play the most, and see make the most plays. This same site did rate CJ Spiller in the blue after the 2012 season. Mario Williams is certainly not the most consistent performer, but when he is on his game he is undoubtedly a "blue" player as well.
  16. Simply put the offseason everyone covers starts with resigning Byrd long term. Then whether it be through the draft or FA, to add starting caliber talent at WR, LG, RT, TE and OLB. The linemen are the easiest to come across in FA, so expect the Bills to address either WR or OLB first round. Either Watkins or Mack being there at 9 is the ideal situation for us.
  17. Been reading the boards here for some time, and finally decided to make an account and start posting. Obviously like all of us I am a huge Bills fan, and I was lucky enough to get free tickets to the Superbowl. Now I normally wouldn't wear a jersey for a team not playing in the game, but I feel almost obligated to wear my Bills jersey. Is that a violation of the "fan code"?
