  1. Manuel is going nowhere. He is finally getting real NFL coaching and is looking like he is on the cusp.
  2. Now WGR says starting Cassel is like punting from the 40. That is a pretty good analogy.
  3. Now WGR is claiming Cassel is Alex Smith. No, Trent Edwards before the head injury.
  4. If Cassel starts he will just lose two of the biggest games we need to start the season and I will be firmly in the Rex doesn't know QB's camp.
  5. WGR just trying to set a line in the sand so that if Tyrod stumbles they can say Rex made the wrong choice. Everyone knows Tyrod is starting. There is nothing Cassel can do that Tyrod can't do.
  6. Looks like a bad throw. But EJ has shown way more than Cassel.
  7. To all the EJ haters. Can you start to see why giving a QB time to throw and NFL coaching can help?
  8. I trust Tyrod under pressure more. If we were playing a team with no pass rush EJ would be the better choice. I really think he is starting to get where we wanted him to be. He just needs a little bit more swagger and I'm glad the Bills coaches let him not lose confidence in himself.
  9. If Rex started Cassel and we lost the first two games fans would have every right to question him. Cassel cannot produce big plays. This is the NFL. It's hard to put together 80 yard drives 6 yards at a time through the air.
  10. Start Tyrod with EJ next up. Cassel is a good veteran presence so keep him for now as a backup.
  11. Yet National media trying to say they think Rex will start Cassel because he is "conservative". Lazy thinking just parroting NY media. Whaley and Rex are all in on Tyrod. Cassel should be an emergency starter only. He is a good backup.
  12. Wake me up when Tyrod is in. Cassel is Trent Edwards before the head shot.
  13. His lack of height actually helps here. At only 6'1'' and his vision, he seems to naturally avoid hits. Could he get injured? Sure, just like a pocket quarterback could. But he already knows what to do and how to protect himself.
  14. I understand the anti-Lynch people. Not every Bill can be Chris Kelsay. Glad this Bills team doesn't cater to that type of fan sentiment and wants to actually win football games. I stopped listening to the radio during those years when all the old white callers would call in and their complaints about Lynch made them look worse than the person they were complaining about. He's a thug, I think they meant something else.
  15. If it's a local league you won't get McCoy at a discount but if not McCoy is dropping too far. People have no idea how much better the Bills offensive line will be from last year. I plan on grabbing McCoy in the second this week and laughing my way to the bank.
  16. Karlos Williams and Tyrod Taylor (if he starts) could vulture TD's from Shady. I wonder what the plan is for using Shady as a receiver, he could really be a weapon in PPR leagues.
  17. Bill Belichick was opening his umbrella on a sunny day.
  18. Let's put it this way. Luck is one of the few quarterbacks that could pick apart our defense. Tannehill, no way no how. I do give Tanny credit in the second game against the Bills for his toughness. He was blasted so many times but he kept getting up. But no, this is ridiculous.
  19. And Tyrod was taken in the 6th round. Russell Wilson in the third. Brady in the 6th. 1st round QB's mean nothing anymore because teams don't have to commit huge financial resources. EJ was thought to have the highest upside in his draft year by multiple teams and scouts including the Bills. What the Cowboys thought back in the day, who also had a 4th round grade on Kiko Alonso, is irrelevant now. And it works both ways. If EJ can't beat Tyrod then he shouldn't start, let the best man win.
  20. And no one cares about that. The anti-EJ people NEVER qualified that. They flat out said EJ WAS a mid-round pick. When he was drafted in the 1st round. I'll concede the Bills overdrafted him but not by 3 rounds. From what I recall, the GM's and scouts thought he would go end of the 1st.
  21. The anti-EJ people have some sort of loop in their head of the Houston game from last year where Cyril Richardson and Erik Pears were playing guard. I have watched enough football that I eliminate games like that from my evaluation. All you can draw from that is EJ sucks with less than 2 seconds to throw.
  22. 4 games is way too small of a sample size. Especially considering the offensive line he was playing behind. Rex has seen what I have seen this year. When EJ gets time to throw he has been impressive. Marrone is gone. Let's deal with this year's team.
  23. Let's talk about this when Tannehill hits receivers more than 10 yards down the field. For now Tannehill is Andy Dalton.
  24. EJ's problem isn't his YPA. It's unforced errors and his inability to play when the pocket is not clean. Your "reality" is not in agreement with the games I have watched.
