  1. There are Bills fans who think Romo would want to come to Buffalo?!
  2. "Pat Mahomes looks like he's just been given a gift to do this and it was exciting," NFL Network analyst and former NFL quarterback David Carr said during the broadcast. "All the different throws, the corner routes, the speed outs, he's going to grow underneath center, but, for me, he was fun to watch. I'd pay to watch him."
  3. The problem for Tyrod is that there are a lot of guys that NFL teams can see as similar to him. All depends on the money and scheme fit. Cutler, Foles, Siemian, Glennon, etc. Why should NFL teams pay a premium price for a player they can find a bargain on with similar ability?
  4. Redksins gave up a bunch of picks to draft RG3. They then drafted Cousins in a later round. I am sure they are glad they "wasted" that pick on Cousins. If you don't have a QB you need to keep looking.
  5. No, the Browns would simply leak that they want Jimmy G. The Patriots are the ones trying to pretend he is worth 2 1st rounders.
  6. If we get Mahomes in the first I will honestly be excited for the first time in a long time. I like Watson but wouldn't want him in the first round.
  7. Foles could easily run this system.
  8. Yes, let's ignore the QB position for another 20 years. When you see a QB that can be special you pull the trigger.
  9. Browns might be using the Jimmy G "leak" to get the Tyrod price down with Whaley.
  10. Yes. But I was evaluating Alex Smith with Greg Roman as the offensive coordinator in 2011. https://www.sportingcharts.com/nfl/stats/team-yards-after-catch-statistics/2011/
  11. I think Tyrod could run this system and Mahomes could as well. One is a lot cheaper with more upside.
  12. Good question. I decided to plug in a different style QB and Greg Roman. Alex Smith has very good short yardage QB skills and can see throws open up and can throw with anticipation. In 2011 with a Greg Roman offense Alex Smith had a total Yards After Catch in the bottom ten. Buffalo Bills with Tyrod Taylor and Roman offenses (with Lynn calling plays in 2016) finished 32nd in the NFL both years. Then I looked at Run After Catch per play. In 2011 Alex Smith was near tenth from the bottom, 11th worst. Tyrod Taylor was 2nd worst in 2015 (with tons of weapons) and 3rd worst in 2016 (with less weapons). So my fast initial conclusion based on the data is that Roman's scheme are poor for RAC and Tyrod Taylor is still very bad at RAC as well. https://www.sportingcharts.com/nfl/stats/team-yards-after-catch-statistics/2016/
  13. So Tyrod is one of the worst QB's in the NFL in throwing the ball so his receiver can get additional yards and you blame Roman? This is typical. Maybe if Tyrod could throw bread and butter NFL throws like a SLANT PATTERN he could hit WR's like Hogan (gone), Woods (gone), and Watkins (if Tyrod stays likely gone). Tyrod throws the go, curl, and out patterns. That's why he doesn't have RAC, not the OC as WR's are seen running wide open over the middle all year but Tyrod doesn't see them.
  14. Darnold will be gone before we draft and Rosen I have heard is mentally fragile. If there is a QB you like you pull the trigger.
  15. I want Mahomes and Kelly. Kelly can be had for a late round pick.
  16. I have no idea why you are still talking about Bradford. Your take that Bradford is the best case scenario is your own and not shared by others. I see Mahomes as a future top 5 QB if he hits potential.
  17. An injured Sam Bradford is not the best upside for the QBs on this class. Sorry, not even close. Would I pass on a QB with Great Pocket Presence Great Accuracy Big Arm Lightning Release Athleticism and Mobility to Throw On Run No, I would not.
  18. Defenses would not be able to stop Mike Williams and Sammy Watkins. It would be fun to watch.
  19. I would. Mike Williams is beast.
  20. I agree with you on the defensive minds being easy to grab. NFL defenses you need talent. I wanted the Bills to choose a great offensive mind and QB guru in Jim Bob Cooter. Oh well, let's see what McD does at QB.
  21. Yeah, I was discussing Goff before last year's draft and I remember my scouting friend saying he wouldn't take Goff in the 1st, rather have Dak. Called Goff a robot.
  22. There are concerns with Watson and accuracy. It's not a fatal flaw but it's there. Shanahan: It takes a while to learn to be a pocket passer. You can tell that he struggled a little bit with the intermediate and deep routes. That does take some time. Your footwork in the pocket, your ability to slide in the pocket, instead of just taking off and looking downfield or looking at the holes in the defense where you can keep your head up and still slide and still focus downfield. And key the whole defense? That takes time. That doesn’t happen overnight. So that’s something he is going to have to work on. http://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2017/01/11/nfl-draft-deshaun-watson-stock-round-scouting-report-mike-shanahan-josh-mccown-randall-cunningham
  23. I agree that coaches need to win. Which is why they shouldn't be playing GM. See Pittsburgh, Baltimore. New England has BB who acts like a GM in player decisions. And not picking up TT option isn't a tank. It could be, but one doesn't necessarily follow. The Bills are in deep trouble after "going for it" these last few years. They have lots of free agency loss, not enough young talent playing on great deals. Picking up the TT option totally handcuffs moves you can make next year.
