  1. You do realize he's been in NE for awhile and has the Hoodie seal of approval. That's good enough for me.
  2. Sure that is all very reasonable. And, the defense does need work, it may take a year or two. Or not, nobody knows for sure, question marks abound at this time every year. Will TT be back? Will we trade for a QB? Draft one? Will Ragland and Lawson have an impact? Gilmore etc. on and on.
  3. After watching this again, I watched it the other day and thought it was just a soft ball interview-nothing struck me. But, after watching again, Whaley says at the end, in reference to making the playoffs, "I don't know if its this year or next year". Combined with we are really close. I say this is the annual reload in the NFL that virtually every team goes through.
  4. I just watched it again a second time myself and i'm with you guys. Did not hear what some are hearing at all. This seemed like a soft ball interview and had no other purpose. Whaley even says at the end , "year 1 , year 2" I'm not sure sounds like a rebuild at all. Teams reload all the time.
  5. Why have people forgotten the "we are close " comments?
  6. I don't think this means what you think.
  7. I'm thinking Alex Van Pelt and Brian Daboll are both candidates
  8. Brian Daboll and Alex Van Pelt are good candidates
  9. I'm thinking Brian Daboll and Alex Van Pelt
  10. I just removed it for reference since someone above was questioning it. Thanks.
  11. For everyone's reference: When a team scores this numbers of pts, won-loss record, win this % of the time 26-28 pts 138-55 .715; 22-25 pts 131-96 .577; 18-21pts 87-134 .394; 15-17 53-137 .279 And of course, the flip side is also true if you give up 22-25 pts you only win .423 of time yes that is correct 10.020, if you throw out 49ers game we are at 9.641.
  12. I think it is safe to say, working from memory, that in the Ryan years our scoring was that of an over 9 win team, with an uptick the second year. And, that the defense was more in the line with a 7.5 win team, and a down turn in year 2. Not what we expected from our defense eh?
  13. I have researched this and come up a chart based on the last 3 years (over 800 games). It tells you what % of the time you win when you score X number of pts in a game. When I apply the chart to the Bills scoring, I get a team who's offense played well enough to win 9.477 games. Likewise, when applied to points allowed, our defense played well enough to win 7.425 games. For reference the Pats O is 10.988 wins, their defense is even better at 11.191 wins.
  14. Yeah he violated rule numbers 1&2 of coaching Your system is tailored to players strengths, not the coaches Your system can't be so complicated that when injuries occur you can't replace the players injured for at least a year, if ever
  15. ^^^^^THIS > Olson as OC
  16. Agreed! Bad big picture policy if so
  17. Git R done Dougie. Like it a lot.
  18. Agree!^^^^ No animosity dude. Have a good day.
  19. I already did, you called the Frazier hiring a big red flag- remember
  20. No I'm pretty typical on this forum. Name calling jeez. Take the advice and be better prepared.
  21. You do realize that Frazier's defenses have been outstanding against the run, and the Bills suck against the run. And, that we have a new HC who is usually outstanding against the pass. You're new around he I see, you'll learn you can't come on here and just BS opinions. People on here will smell it and chew you up. I would also add we have a run game coordinator, we are now looking for someone to help the Passing game. I think that kind of attention to both aspects is very refreshing as a Bills fan.
  22. I disagree with you placement of blame. Miami 1 is on the defense as much if not more than the offense, they gave up 454 yds and 28 FD and Ajayi ran all over them, the offense puit up 25 pts Sea is on the defense, the offense had 425 yds and 30 FDs and 28 pts against the number 1 scoring D, should be good enough Oak is more on the defense, should be able to protect a 24-9 lead in the 3rd QTR There is 3 games that should have been wins with competent defense.
