I keep saying - it's all about the odds. The odds are much better that you're going to draft your franchise QB in the first round than you're going to get one in free agency. They had their QB all set! :wallbash:

I've always wondered about these war photograhers, esp. the ones who filmed D Day. It almost seems frivolous to be in the middle of all that to take pictures. But, was it done to get "game film" or was it for historical purposes? I'm thinking more the first with an eye to the 2nd?

I, too, forget a lot of this stuff, like KD is saying..........Listening to Kornheiser every day, he and the gang totally loved this show, but now if it comes up he just complains about the long breaks killed the momentum and you go onto other things. Allan Havey, the guy who plays Lou, was on the Adam Carolla podcast last week. He's been a stand up comedian for decades! He had his own show on Comedy Central. I went to that game and that night went to the Oilers-Sabres game. I kept saying that I'll always be able to say that I saw the greatest QB and the greatest hockey player on the same day. After the beating the Bills put on Marino, I was then down to the greatest hockey player of all time. Yeah, Gronk has shown to be incredibly durable!

Totally agree. I just don't want to count my chickens yet!...........I didn't really get on Ralph much, except that I thought he should have a plan for the Bills after he's gone. And, now it looks like he did! (knocking on wood, crossing fingers, etc.)

I do this typo all the time, but it's pretty impressive when there are three ways to say the word, you used two of them, and yet didn't get it right. Pretty high odds were bucked.

I do, too. And, you're right - they got the guy I wanted. Moving to #1 would have been extra stupid!

I'm not going to look it up, but I bet more draft picks make the team these days than they did in 1987. It's an asset that you can then use to do what you did this year - to get the one essential position. (If you don't end up in a spot to pick him). We just blew our load on a receiver. I would not do that on any position but QB - unless we had our QB in place.
