  1. I like him a lot. One of our 2s is rich for my blood but not sure he lasts until our 4th. Problem is end of the 2nd feels like a bit of a wilderness for corner. All the guys with the talent that justifies a pick there are likely gone. I feel like the options are 1. Take one at #30 2. Wait until the 4th 3. Move around the draft board - either up in the 2nd or back from the 2nd into the mid to late 3rd or up from the 4th into the late 3rd. I suppose move back from #30 is an option too. Depends what is on the board for us there.
  2. Benford can play man or zone. In terms of separation given up in man last year he was tied 10th best among all corners in the NFL. The guy he tied with? Jaycee Horn. Who just reset the market at $25m AAV. I agree the concern on concussions is real. But he would absolutely get $20m AAV plus on the market. As above his metrics compare well against the guy who just reset the market.
  3. I understand the concern but I really do think Diggs hit something of a wall in 2023 and Amari did wrist ligaments in his first game as a Bill. That said it bears watching. But the Bills still need more talent outside. Interesting how soft Amari's FA market is.
  4. He knew he was breaking the rules. He just didn't know he had been caught.
  5. What in the name of......? This amateurish. Which for all that I have criticised some of Beane's evaluations and roster building is not a word I have ever associated with him before. This is old Bills behaviour. Not the buttoned up, professional outfit we have been. Really, really disappointing.
  6. In that tier, yes. The Hart / Duccase envelope. Makes sense cos the one thing he can do is move. But the Bills are more of a tackle pull team than an interior pull team the past couple of years.
  7. Yea Cam is their backup nickel and their preferred dime.
  8. I presume they see a cheap vet with some starter experience to fill the Will Clapp break class in case of emergency role.
  9. He wasn't decent in Pittsburgh.
  10. Oh I am not up in arms. He is a camp body. But he is dreadful.
  11. I don't think it is impossible at all. He gets 6 a season every season on a line that doesn't have "that guy". On a line with a bona fide stud creating opportunities for others it is definitely possible. He is never gonna be a regular double digit sack guy. But could a career year end up in that range? Sure.
  12. Just checked. You are reading it right. Based on the PFF system that suggests he is pretty much worse than playing without a right guard. 😆 Yep. The Vladiator is actually a pretty good comp. Moves a bit better than him but same mess of a technique.
  13. Mainly from his time on the Steelers. He started for Pittsburgh on that utterly dreadful line they had a couple of years ago. The one that caused them to go and draft OL in the first twice in a row and once in the second to totally retool it. I haven't really focused on him in Houston but I doubt he has got better. He can't anchor, his feet are a sloppy mess and if a defender gets into him it is down over he is beat. I watch about 10 NFL games most weeks so I like to think I have a pretty good working knowledge of the league. Some teams more than others. Steelers got a ton of prime time games when he was there, we played them that year in Buffalo, and they get shown a lot on UK tv in the normal Sunday slots cos they have a decent fanbase here.
  14. He could have two purposes. Dropping the ball and running into his blockers.
  15. That is Kenyon. We signed Kendick. They had two dreadful Greens at guard.... 😂
  16. Thanks on the draft pick thing. I saw Pelissero reported it the other way, but that tweet seems to have disappeared so he must have got it wrong and corrected. That is interesting on Gordon. And I don't disagree character likely a big factor. But interesting that the Chiefs also had him ahead of Gordon. Though I suppose you can argue maybe that makes more sense for them scheme wise.
  17. Tre was hurt wasn't he? He didn't end up playing until week 8 or week 9? So I do think it's a bit different. But I also do think corner is the most likely pick at #30.
  18. It wouldn't surprise me if there was an offer. I know for a fact there were conversations this time last year before the contract adjustment and the Bills and his reps were miles apart.
  19. Makes sense. He knows the D and can start without being a liability. Hope it means they won't force it in the draft now (which is what happened the Elam year) but they still need to find a way of upgrading and I still would price corner as the favourite for #30.
  20. But that doesn't explain Elam over Gordon either.... Gordon had the higher RAS!
  21. Yea some of it is scheme obviously. Not sure all those linebackers are scheme fits here but then Joseph really wasn't naturally their type either. If I remember right he had the lower RAS score in the entire draft. And they spent a 5th on him. I remember on that year's draft video McDermott who has clearly never heard of him asking Joe Schoen "what does he do?" And Schoen being like an excited puppy "he plays inside, he plays outside, he can blitz, core special teams". We found out in time what he could do. Sweet FA. What makes Gordon v Elam even more confusing to me was Gordon was clearly the better scheme fit on tape. I'd genuinely love Brandon Beane to sit me down and walk me through what they saw and why. If it was Kaiir vs nobody I see the ceiling potential of Kaiir and why that is inticing. But if it is Kaiir vs an athletic freak who fits your scheme and has better tape I don't see it. Maybe Gordon had a medical or an off field that never came out? That might be it I suppose.
