I think they will try to get Darby in situations where he is going to be one on one with a receiver and then pick on him. I don't see how they can't try to do that. He has looked incredibly vulnerable in 2 out of 3 games. I would expect them to pick on him repeatedly until Darby or someone else on that defense makes them pay for it by getting a turnover when they try it. He appears to be the weakest link in the secondary. Wouldn't you target him if you were an offensive coordinator?

Looks like you've got it all figured out. So we can expect Taylor to just run out of bounds to his left for losses repeatedly when it is an obvious passing situation? You don't think he will try to get the ball downfield or throw it away if he is out of the pocket and can't make positive yardage?

I think Luck and Brady will pick on Darby early and often. And I am afraid the outcome is going to be big completions or big pass interference penalties. If the d-line doesn't get immediate pressure in obvious passing situations, then Rex will need to be blitzing fairly constantly which comes with its own risks against quarterbacks like that.

So you commit 2 or more extra players to try to disrupt/stop Tyrod? Seems like a winning situation for Tyrod. There ought to be big plays to be made in more than one spot on the field if that happens.

Why two years? Why not this year? I didn't see him play. He may not have played at all. If they were able to sneak him in, it must have been later in the fourth quarter somewhere. They showed him on the sidelines. He had pads on but looked pretty relaxed and not all sweaty as players tend to get when they are actually playing. Urbik flat out sucked as a backup center. You have to be able to snap the ball right. That is center play 101.

I thought Richardson (68) sucked.

He was getting sacked and he threw the ball backwards. Looked like Detroit was going to scoop it up and score 6 on the play. But Detroit player got tackled.

1 point game at half time. VT defense could not stop Stanford in 2nd half. Stanford had over 500 yards of offense in that game. Over 200 of it was rushing. Last 3 scores of the game were 3 long touchdown passes from Andrew Luck to Fleener. Stanford scored fast and often just like the Buffalo Bills used to do during the early 1990's Superbowl years.

He is one hell of a punt catcher like Watson used to be.

Thank you Mr. Simms for the laughs. That was hilarious. I laughed straight for two minutes. I've seen EJ Simms do something like that before.... Being that it is preseason with zero starters playing for the Bills, I personally don't care if the Bills lose by 40. I would rather have it be entertaining.

I don't think that conversation was heated (at least not the one I saw on television). I think they are team captains and were probably talking to the ref about something else relevant to possession of the football. I thought Carpenter was smiling during the chat.

Did you see the one snap from Urbik? Ball never reached Simms. Maybe that is what happened to EJ in that one game too? I think Urbik has proven he is not qualified to be a backup center.
