Yeah.. Talk about giving up.... During the first five minutes of the Jets vs. Dolphins game, when the Jets made a big play, the camera showed Philbin on the sidelines and he was smiling and joking around with somebody. Talk about being a loser. And some of the Miami players looked like they had already given up caring whether they won or lost that game.....And it was still in the first 5 minutes of the game. Pathetic display for Miami fans. I can see why they are so pissed.

A quarterback in a live game situation is not going to pause to analyze whether his receiver is a yard short of the sticks or a yard past the sticks. Expecting him to do that is unrealistic. It is the receiver's job to know where the sticks are and to get the first down. The quarterback's job is to get him the ball. TT did his part. Clay did not.

And completely sucked the year before.

Still, you're not going to win many games getting your ass kicked that bad in the first half of games. This coaching staff blew it this game. Nowhere near enough pressure on Manning. Very poor play calling in first half. Just awful. embarrassing even. Yes the penalties were a major contributor to this loss, but the coaching flat out sucked that whole first half.

This is what I am starting to think now too. I thought this team was going to be different. I thought they might be something special. But nope. Not special. Couldn't win without those 2 key players on offense. Maybe with Watkins and Shady this game ends differently. I don't know though. All that money on the Defensive line and a coach who is supposed to be a master of bringing pressure....and this is what we get? Sorry. It's just one game. But this team stuck a dagger in what I thought they were going to be by losing to the friggin Giants at home. It was the Giants for Christ's sake. The Giants... This team is not ready. You have to play better than that. How can we not score two touchdowns today.........sad game....poor coaching today on both sides of the ball and poor play..

I predict we are going to find out what kind of Bills team this really is on Sunday. We are going to be without 2 key players in this offense. If the Bills can still come out and put up the points, then that says a lot about the quality and sustainability of this offense. If they can put up points like they have in these other games, then this offense is definitely for real. And look out. Let's go Bills!

True. He is a rookie though. You know mistakes are coming. And they can be game changers.

I'd worry more about him blocking in the passing game rather than running. I think he'll be fine running the rock. Pass blocking though?

Being a geek like I am, I would be tempted to try to pre-plan every drive for my team if I was offensive coordinator. I would have a series of if-then situations in a computer program that told me "If this happens on that play then I want to run this play next". That sort of thing. Obviously you couldn't account for every situation. But you could account for the most common or most likely situations that you are going to be presented with. Maybe there is a guy doing that with a computer somewhere who is talking with Roman on a headphone?

Ditto. I flat out thought the guy was going to suck and be a major liability for this defense. So far, he has proven himself to be much better in regular season game scenarios. I hope that continues. Sooner or later if he keeps playing as well as he has, teams will not only avoid picking on him, they will probably avoid throwing the ball his way.

As time ticks away I become more and more convinced we have one of the best GM's in the league. Sometimes you scratch your head at a move he makes like trading away Kiko. Time ends up showing it was probably a good move. The guy drafts really well in my opinion. He is very good at judging football talent. I'm glad we have an owner with deep pockets who isn't afraid to pay for talent. Because if this team continues to ascend the ranks of the NFL, the Pegula's will be forced to dig deep in their pockets to retain some of these guys in the front office.

Those are some awfully nice accolades from a very experienced NFL quarterback. Patriot fans are pissed after seeing that. He ranked Tyrod above Cry Brady for this week.

I guess so. Stupid if they did it. Someone will go to jail. How stupid...... The dumbest part about crimes like that is you get a chance to think about what you are about to do before you do it. And then they do it anyway.

I believe that hacking into another team's server is a Federal Offense that would result in serious jail time. And I don't suspect teams are doing this to each other. It's not like NFL staff are a bunch of genius geeks. The league will not take the position of anything goes. This isn't Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. The propensity to cheat in the NFL is merely a reflection of modern Americans' lack of morality. And yes that probably will get worse over time.

The weather could be a major factor in this game if that storm coming up north ends up crossing our path. If there is no rain and very little wind, then I think the Bills will win by at least 2 scores. If the storm ends up hitting us hard enough, it will be a very close game with very little scoring from either team.

I never mentioned him. That is the funny part. He just happened to take offense to my remark. Would you take offense to something a random person says when he never directed the remark at you? Nope you wouldn't. You would ignore it. He took offense because he remembers bashing Tyrod in the preseason and feels like I was calling him out on it. When in fact, if you look at my post in this thread, I never mentioned any member here by name. Not him. Not anyone. Nor did I insinuate in any way that my remarks were pointed at him. I just assumed the guilty ones would feel the pain. And they did. I'm glad the naysayers are starting to come around on Tyrod. This could be the start of a new Bills era where the team is actually good for a while. Let's hope so anyway.

I had the same sense about the guy after his very first preseason game when he was running the ball. I thought he looked very impressive even back then. I hope he keeps it going and becomes one of the best rock pounders in the league. And I think he will. And he is doing it behind a not-so-awesome offensive line.

I wonder what their criteria was? Seems like it is just made up based on just one person's opinion with no basis whatsoever. If the criteria was something along the lines of "cities most identified with an NFL team" I think Buffalo would rank higher. Seems that when I am out of state and get chatting with people and bring up Buffalo, the Buffalo Bills usually come up in conversation, even when making small talk.

This is total B. S. We were told in preseason that Tyrod can't throw touchdowns. Only EJ can. And we would eventually call for Tyrod's head after a couple weeks because the Bills wouldn't be able to score a passing touchdown. I don't believe your stats. I think you made them up.

I also thought that the receiver's intent was taken into consideration given the fact that it was a close call. Marshall obviously lateraled the ball on purpose. So unless he was obviously down, it would be unjust to rule him down. In my opinion. He meant to toss the ball and did toss the ball, therefore it should stick as a fumble.
