It is also on the coach to realize that his star running back is unstoppable and that is the antidote to the above paragraph. He didn’t and we lost. Defenses that are on the field for 30 plus minutes, in the last game of the season, are understandably gassed. These leads to less than stellar defensive outcomes in the next 10 minutes they still have to play.

I didn’t read past this. We were 10 point favorites to win that SB. Thurman was KILLING them on the ground but Kelly kept calling his own number. Had we kept feeding the ball to Thurman the 2 to 1 disparity in time, in the Giants favor, would not have happened. But Marv got out coached.

Brady And a D coordinator who can adapt his scheme as necessary

As has been discussed multiple times, Give Josh to Gailey or Marrone or maybe even Mularkey and give them each 8 years and there is a good chance we have a SB in there. Josh has ABSOLUTELY been the factor that has allowed this team to be where it is. The players he has been surrounded by are not perennial probowlers by any means. Last year this offense did what? With whom? If we go this route, then make Brady the head coach. Bring in someone to help him in a veteran coach capacity and get a new defensive coordinator. McD’s D is the issue. Unless he’s willing to have a different scheme/coordinator forced on him, then give him the boot.

Uh, BB coached a D to stop the hottest offense in the league allowing the Giants to beat us with a backup. Mc???? Not so much🤔🫢😉

Sometimes your “ best” isn’t good enough. When your best isn’t good six years running, maybe it’s a sober dose of reality and not a lack of respect.

Where has the growth been by McD? His D scheme remains the same. His demonstrable “ pucker factor” was on display last playoffs as it has always been. We ALL want to see him do better but that is just a wish.

And give him Fangio’s D I also think Josh wouldn’t have taken as much of a physical beating in Reid’s scheme

13 seconds wasn’t on “ depleted defense” it was on the coach. And no other team has lost to them in the playoffs so egregiously and with such a QB performance
