They need to fix those ugly uniforms. I understand the idea of playing at the same time as the NFL so that players aren't wiped out by the time they could catch on with an NFL team, but there's just too much other football to watch right now.

Bills would be one of the first to go. I still don't buy that expansion is to blame. There were plenty of doormats and dominant teams 15 years ago too.

There's always been bad QB play. The league is never going to be full of Mannings. That doesn't mean that hurts the product. Our population has been increasing too. Suddenly we are no longer producing good football players at the same rate? I doubt it. I think the real reason that the NFL does not want to expand is that they don't think that an expansion fee can pay for the proportionate loss of TV revenue and the ability to blackmail towns into building new stadiums.

San Francisco, San Diego and Oakland all have stadium issues supposedly. There was some talk about about San Francisco and Oakland sharing one stadium to solve that issue. I love how St. Louis wants a new stadium when their current stadium was built in the mid to late 90s. I still don't understand why the NFL can't expand. Because they have these clean divisions of four teams each? That is silly. Expanding not only could solve this LA issue but also help with CBA negotiations by providing more jobs to NFL players.

I watch the Sabres casually. I used to be able to see the game in HD on MSG. Now it's always in standard definition. Is there no more HD in Rochester or is there another channel that I should try?

I think after awhile, it is not an accident. The strength of the Bills defense is amazingly its pass rush and its ball-hawking skills, both things that were lacking in past defenses. Amazing what a new DL coach and a playmaking FS can do. Just because the run defense is terrible doesn't mean that the Bills defense is not doing a good - albeit unconventional - job at defense.

I liked his aggressive calls on 4th Down. Contrast going for it on 4th and 4 around the Bills 40 with 7 minutes left and down by two scores with Jauron punting when facing 4th and 1 down two scores against the Saints.

I love how the one story talks about which teams could move to "SoCal" and the most likely candidate are the Chargers who already play in SoCal...

He was not coaching the Lions for most of 2005. The only pattern I see is a bunch of terrible QBs. Jim Miller was probably the best.

Why would you think that the NFL would merge with the USFL? Many of the cities already had NFL teams. A handful would merge if any. The USFL was before my time. I actually thought the XFL was better than people thought. If they had gotten rid of the WWF bs but kept the innovative rules, I thought they might be on to something.
