I remember how Chris Berman was attacking the pick saying how this is a shift in how the Bills were all about character guys. But really, is ordering a pizza that bad? He probably just wanted one after practice was over so he could eat quickly and then go study for his chemistry test. The fact that the pizza came DURING practice was just a product of bad timing.

They cover baseball in the sense of hyping the same stories, teams and players over and over again. Variety in coverage is something ESPN needs to improve upon.

What is ESPN 108? ESPNEWS? They ran updates about the draft and basketball over an over again. When they went to baseball for a minute or two it was just the same highlights from the Yankees and Red Sox games. The bottom line is unhelpful. I can get that information online. Highlights are what I want on TV. Besides, why should ESPN cover the draft on any more than one channel? The channel that covers the draft will be running down the picks ad naseum. Even ESPN U was doing the draft. Choice is all I want.

I should sue all the companies that have made me lose money in the stock market....

The draft has shown the need for real competition for ESPN in the sports news department. It was the same draft stories over and over again across all three main ESPN networks and it was impossible to find any baseball highlights outside the Yankees and Red Sox.

What a great thread this has become, quality posts all. I personally feel that two things might happen: Reed will be traded in some package deal that involves Henry as well or Aiken is cut. While Aiken has the size and some talent, to be honest he has shown the least out of the three. Reed at least has a good season under his belt. Aiken has only shown the slightest glimmer when it actually matters: a regular season game. I don't see TD giving up on Reed until a new QB has had a chance to work with him. I also think that Smith has more play-making ability than Aiken does. Aiken might be a better special teamer, but you do not keep a receiver just for that purpose over other guys. Surpluses at other position cans fill his spot on the kicking teams.

Mock drafts can only give some clues on where a player will go not to which team and perhaps maybe a little bit of clue as to who gets picked in the first round. Beyond that, the too many variables pile up.
