  1. It's got nothin to do with slavery or anything else. There's a lot of team names that go back almost 100 years that are rooted in American history. Good or bad. The patriots, the cowboys the redskins, steelers, and yes, the bills. Should the steelers change their name because of the horrible working conditions their industry endured? Should animal rights activists and the spca petition that the bills name be changed because buffalo bill Cody slaughtered over 4200 American bison? It gets to a point where, in the words of Stevie Johnson, "why so serious?"
  2. No. It's tradition. If the redskins name is changed, then we choose to forget American history... The good, ..and the bad.
  3. Ok, kraftie It just adds to the aura and mystique of the franchise, along with the music city miracle and the greatest playoff comeback in nfl history.
  4. I'd rather see them win, even with kolb. Thought of Manuel in a duel with Brady, late in the fourth quarter, would be too much fun too pass up.
  5. I remember the jets coming out with bs reports before the draft that if the bills waited to draft nassib that they were going to take him. Hahaha we really stuck it to them which makes it even sweeter. Good luck with Herman Munster(geno smith)
  6. I remember watching that draft and yelling out "WHAT THE &$@&!!!" When I heard the words running back .. Cj spiller. Hate to admit it but I was wrong.
  7. Thankfully the holes in this roster are getting fewer, and although I like chandler, maybe an upgrade in next years draft is in order. I'm just not sure what to think about gragg yet. Lee smith, blocking backup.
  8. I think the league has been looking the other way as far as marijuana for a long time; and rightfully so. I'm sure if they wanted to administer the dreaded hair follicle test they would have to suspend at least 25 percent of the players. Its not so much of a drug issue as it is a stupidity issue. I never understood these guys that get caught drunk driving, it's like dude, you're a millionaire, hire a driver. I'm sure marrone will give him a spanking and he will have to attend the bs substance abuse classes. That's punishment enough.
  9. Whiney owner of the bills who will eventually auction off the team? Way to talk about someone whos loyalty to buffalo has kept our bills here as long as he has. Several credible sources say a plan is in place to keep the bills here post Wilson. You'll take Danny Snyder over a Ralph type any day of the week? IMO if Snyder bought the bills ten years ago they would already be gone for bright lights , big city , and the almighty buck. There was a great special on wgrz on the legacy of Ralph Wilson. I'm sure you can probably find it online. It changed a lot of my opinions of him. Although I think he made a lot of bad hires, his class and loyalty to buffalo should be admired by all true bills fans.
  10. Tuel looked bedazzled to me vs Minnesota but so did kolb. Maybe ej being out will solve this one one and for all. IMO start tuel and let him play against the starters. Than it will be "obvious to everybody". Just the way marrone said he wanted it.
  11. Those are good thoughts.. it may be so close that it comes down to whoever is the best teammate or special teams contributor.
  12. That's why ya have to start tuel to find out. When Manuel is healthy keep the better of tuel and kolb and cut the loser. Get brad smith handing it off, running slants and read options in case things go..aw junk.
  13. If marrones is as much of a straight shooter, like he has proclaimed to the media, than he should start tuel against the skins and let him get his chance against the ones. Lets face it this is a competition for the back up this point. Roster positions are valuable and I think we have seen plenty of kolb against the starters. The problem I had with marrones flip flop starters the first two weeks is this: He admitted ej was very good (starting caliber I presume). Yet he failed to realize his loyalty to the competition comprimised his first round draft pick by playing him with the second string offensive line (I believe he was hurt on his last play, the jailbreak sack)
  14. I'm not crazy bout graham either but I think ya gotta keep him. Heck keep seven including our jack of all trades brad smith. Sj13 Woods Tj graham Goodwin Easley Hogan Smith Kaufman to practice squad Let brad smith return kicks and play special teams. You have a crash test dummy with smith and if he gets hurt, sucks but at least it wasn't a starter. Rogers would fit in perfect with Rex Ryan's circus...maybe he can dress up like Ronald McDonald..
  15. It's all a sham they want belichick to prepare for kolb ... Good god I hope so
  16. Oh it's based on draft order. Thanks. So if the bills know the jets and. Pats both want him they can be sure wont go to the pats at least haha
  17. I think other teams that aren't as deep at wr would like him but why would they trade something when they have a shot to get him off waivers? How does that work? If he gets cut than he just signs with whoever wants to pay him the most ? Or does some kind of rookie wage scale take precedent?
  18. Ya think daaaa Rick is just gonna agree to fake injury because he has some kind of loyalty to buffalo? I've thought about the theory of a staff not calling a players number to keep them off film, its interesting but I don't think it will work with him, too much hype. With a guy like easly it may have worked but that ship has sailed, he's looked great.
  19. Eek I just watched the pats bucs highlights. Amendola reminds me of welker and tommy boy didn't look like the knee bothered him a bit. No one said it was gonna be easy my friend. Something about when he starts pouting under pressure really makes my day!
  20. I think all of us are sleeping better just knowing that he has the ability to throw it downfield. Good grief fitz would make me tear my hair out with how badly he missed downfield. Just the fact that teams will have to respect the long ball is gonna help the running game, the slot guy, tight end. I've finally accepted the fact that quarterback is everything. And yes I think it's time for coach to name ej the starter, although I think he will wait till next week.
  21. He's just a kid let him dink and dunk all he wants until he gets comfy with those monsters coming at him. The long balls will come in due time my friend.
  22. If they could manage pressure with four that would be a dream scenario. Don't forget no welker and hopefully no gronk. Pretty boy lost his safety valves, who is he gonna dump it off to when the heat comes? IMO they should throw the kitchen sink at him. Get the Ralph rockin. I can't wait for this game.
  23. Trading him sounds like a good idea but ya really think you'll get someone who can crack the roster for him? They are gonna be tearing their hair out making cuts as it is. I wish they could keep him because he can do so many different things but none of them really well.
