I mean I agree to an extent, but why not design plays to limit our poor oline? Everything was a deep throw which predicates on having protection and a good line.Where were the screens ? The quick slants or hitches? Crossers? Quick timing routes to get the ball out of Josh’s hands?
Like is Dorsey that much of a moron? Dude needs to go
I agree the play calling didn't help, but not sure how much you can hide an inferior line.
-
I'm on the fire Dorsey train, but until the line is fixed, nothing good will happen.

And then said this, after this season…
Find that very interesting. No support for either whatsoever.
I think we need a change at both coordinators. Dorsey isn't good enough and with the defense, i think a change in philosophy is needed, similar to getting Wade after Corey.

The other 3 home teams won this weekend.
Home teams are usually the better team, they usually win because of that.

Trying to figure out why the Tops shooting would affect their play?
Same with not being home on Christmas morning. There were 3 games on christmas, those players on road games weren't home either.

To many fans it's McDermott when playing well and Frazier when not.

I've always felt that Walt Corey held back our defense in the Super bowl years and the hiring of Phillips was a year or two late. I like Frazier, but we need something else. 3 poor playoff loses is enough. Great guy, great coach, great career, but it's not going to work.

It doesn’t necessarily take high draft picks to fix the trenches. You can find super physical players later in the draft. You just need to look for the proper traits. We aren’t that far off but we absolutely need to gain a physical element to this team. You probably need to upgrade at least 2 spots on the Oline. Go out and find the strongest, nastiest players available. That doesn’t have to mean 1st and 2nd round picks. There are several ways to skin a cat but go find some maulers.
None of these players were Kromers guys. I'm guessing he has a list of players that he wants on his line. Or at least I hope that's the case. Can't have this bad of an Oline for Allen anymore.

It's taken me a while but our scheme just basically relies on Allen to be a superhero too much. Basically if he is off, or the other team has a great scheme against him, we have a hard time consistently playing well on offense.
Sure we will get our plays because Allen is still Allen. But it's got to the point that we need to stop taking that for granted and get him some help.
It's like when you have a great worker who can make up for 3 people being out by piling more work on him.
Sure...that works for a while but then you eventually burn that worker out and when something comes up that needs all his attention other areas start failing since he can't bail them out.
I guess what I am saying is we need more answers on offense that don't include Josh Allen being an alien, because our offense relies on that more than any other in the NFL.
Ya think?

Isn't this 'Bills weather'?

Just now, Trock said:
Defense wins championships Sean. Make the necessary adjustments.
So does offense.

Can we finally put to rest that this is 'Bills weather' or the 12th man means anything. It's talent, coaching, execution. Fans can praise themselves as the greatest in the world all they want, but that's irrelevant come game time.

Daboll was more creative, more unpredictable, more pragmatic... and he could force Josh to play within the structure of the offense.
Chuck n Duck Dorsey... jesus christ... does he even read the self-scouting reports from the Offensive Quality Control staff?
We are easy to coach against.

I’m not blaming the shooting, but things build up. Did the Sabres witness their teammate’s heart stop? Ultimately, the Hamlin situation is the biggest thing that may have broke the camel’s back for the team. That’s not being soft it’s being a human. Yes, the OL, the DL and the coaches sucked and my other posts note that. I was saying we can’t take the other things for granted especially the Hamlin situation.
Not sure that there are many cities in this country that don't have mass shootings. Shouldn't even be mentioned as a factor.

The Bills have had:
- The supermarket shooting pre-season which affected the team and community
- The Matt Araiza situation which would have affected the locker room, no matter what was said to the contrary
- The scary Dane Jackson injury against the Titans, which he thankfully bounced back from quickly but was horrible at the time
- Miami heat, where Tommy Doyle had to play with a torn ACL to finish the game and players were dropping with dehydration
- Losing Micah Hyde and Von Miller to season ending injuries
- Josh playing with a bad elbow since week eight and I can't recall if his ankle was on the injury report this week but may explain the lack of running plays
- Snow game against the Browns, where they were stranded for Christmas
- Damar Hamlin's collapse at The Jungle
It felt like there was a rearguard action against something not completely in their control from the off. I think changes do need to be made but, at the same time, I do think hitting a wall was partially the reason behind today.
I'm waiting for a reporter to ask how much the Araiza situation hurt us today. Comical excuses.

Shooting in Buffalo before the season, yes the two snowstorms and not making it home for Christmas. Regardless of all that the biggest thing was Hamlin. So it’s not other than Hamlin as that was pretty big seeing your teammate and friend have to have CPR performed on him. That one event is a lot to handle. I get fan is short for fanatic but some of you need to get a grip on what the team actually went through emotionally.
Jesus, you're going to blame the shooting at Tops as a reason the team underperformed? So is that also an excuse if the Sabres miss the playoffs? That's just ridiculous. If not making it home for Christmas contributed to this loss, then I stand by my comment of a weak organization. God , if those are valid reasons, then this team is weak, but I think you're way off. The oline was no good and that hurt most. Defense missing key players and didn't have the depth to hold up.

Agreed. Did it ever look like we had a game plan specifically for our opponent? It was backyard football, let the big guy do it all and hope you win.

Hats off to Bill Cowher on his statement. The team have been through a lot this year and it’s possible they are just emotionally drained.
other than Hamlin are we thinking two snowstorms hurt this team? If so, that's a weak organization.
