Has Roman ever had a top qb in the game though?

    kapernick? Tyrod? Lamar?

I believe he was Lamar’s oc his mvp year right? And Lamar isn’t a top 10 thrower of the football. I’d be interested in seeing him actually call plays with a top passer

Went to the Super Bowl with Kaep. MVP season for Lamar.  Brought some good out of his QB's.

  2. We have a new OC and new OL coach. Not sure that they are on the same page and not sure these are the players that Kromer wants.

Kromer used a lot of 2 TE sets in LA, we are doing that a bit more now, but it's not a feature. Deep passes also put pressure on the OL, not sure Dorsey is doing the line any favors with his play calling.

Feel bad for Tua - guy has been nothing but nice and mature in his career, and he has been derailed by early season hype and poor medical support.  Guy is a decent QB when healthy.

I expect the line to move to Bills -15 or HIGHER.  Hopefully we win this game and keep injury free as we move to divisional.

What we have seen from the Bills over the years - they FEAST on below average QBs.  Their defense is great at making QB's play well and make good throws consistently.  I expect Skyler to struggle

How was he derailed by early season hype. He played elite football when healthy.

For some odd reason you are taking the periphery issues that were mentioned earlier and placing them firmly next to you on the molehills you are choosing to die on. The Bills went through plenty of legitimate adversity with injuries to key players and scheduling issues along with the on field issue of a player temporarily dying in a game. Using the gesture that the Steeler's did when delivering toys to Hamlin's daycare center is just another example of you going to the most ridiculous example to make a point. Tomlin knows Hamlin and your example means nothing in this discussion.

Periphery issues? No these are issues that people are using to promote McD for coach of the year. To use the play by play announcer having a stroke is absurd. I think McD should be in the COY conversation for many reasons, but not that one for sure.

McDermott would be singled out for guiding his team through many instances of adversity, not just the one you are cherry picking here. You are shortcutting your argument to the extent that you are causing that argument to be less than what it could be.

I guess my point is, why?  Why is the Top shooting a Bills adversity? What has he done that warrants COY after Murphy's stroke?  Do we take into account other cities tough times in determining if their coach should win the award. The Steelers delivered toys today to Hamlins charity in Pitt, does Tomlin get COY votes for that?

maybe the correct spelling of her name made you not recognize it.

McDermott is not getting props for someone having a stroke, snowstorms, a racist shooting or a player being brought back to life on the playing field. Any credit that he gets will be for guiding his team through trying times which include not only the aforementioned but other challenges.

Come on, I know everyone in the community cares about the victims in the Tops shooting, but why single out McDermott for national recognition.  Every business in the city then did the same thing, right. Should every business owner be lauded for getting through that incident?  Should Granato also get coach of the year? Do we compare what happened in other cities for other coaches? I mean, how many cities don't have mass shootings?

McDermott deserves Coach of the Year to guide this team through such adversity. So much of it is beyond normal football stuff.

I think McDermott is a great coach, but why does he get credit/votes for John Murphy having a stroke or some racist shooting up Tops? It snowed in Chicago a couple days before our game, why is that a feather in McD's cap?

congrats, you googled how American football started. Just because it was two colleges that started, does not mean it didn't become a kids sport around the same time. A 33 year old created the idea, but it didn't take long after the concept for kids to start playing it. I think it was less than 2 years later.

At that time here was more Kids playing the game than "young adults"

Yeah, sometimes I try to research things to try to give accurate information.  Calling sports 'kids games' is a way to knock the league down, and it's a lazy thinking way of doing it.  It's a stupid comment.

Then I will watch something else on Sunday. Football is just a kids game played by elite athletes. Life and well-being is way more important than a kids game.

Why do people always say football , and other sports, are just kids games. They aren't.  Football was 'invented' for college play, not for 'kids'.

I would back the Bills decision if Hamlin does not drastically improve.

    .

I think they should play.  Not to be insensitive, but how much time do they need?  After my father died , i missed a few days of school, my mother, missed a few days of work, my brother... went in to work that day.  Hamlin is thankfully alive and appears to have shown some improvement.  I'm far from one of those 'man up' aholes, but I still think they need to move forward.

If you did it based on play this season then it would be:

    1. Poyer

    2. Oliver

    3. Edmunds

But I think they are going to put more weight on the position and their perceived importance to the defensive scheme so probably:

    1. Oliver

    2. Edmunds

    3. Poyer (probably not able to retain)

Edmunds disappears in games and despite his gigantic size he seems to be easily blocked out of plays and isn't a big hitter. He doesn't make the "splash plays" that a star LB should be making. He plays the Kuechly position, he should be gobbling up stats but Milano is far and away the star of the LB's. I think they will sign him and hope that he keeps improving and you can't coach size and he is able to get in the way of a lot of passes without doing much but standing there

how many cliche, talking points can one put in one paragraph.

So, you can't coach size? Brilliant

I wish Leslie all the best and hope he gets a head coaching job somewhere, I just don't want to see him go to the ownership dumpster fire that is Denver. All of that fighting and nonsense on the sidelines is a trickle down from the years of chaos since Bowlen's death. The Russ deal being the centerpiece. He can't save Denver, don't even try.

The ownership has been there less than a year. They weren't the ones that hired Hackett.

Not sure it’s the head coach’s job to be doctor in the middle of the game?? First, he's not qualified, 2nd he has plenty of other things on his plate. So unless the team’s doctors told him about it and he ignored it, I don’t see how he is to blame.

somebody is to blame certainly, but not the head coach

Agreed. I don't think it's unreasonable to think that Tua did this on his own. Hit his head, felt like he could continue. I know everyone here hates the dolphins but I doubt that anyone knew of his issues during the game. I couldn't tell anything from watching on TV.
