  1. It hasn’t been announced yet when the schedule will come out
  2. The original report was that he was on his way to the airport, to catch his flight home. This report from TMZ was from a witness and actually came out a couple days ago, it isn’t new.
  3. Speaking of the Nets, they should wipe the floor with the Cavs tonight in the play in game. I’ll be surprised if they don’t with Durant and Kyrie. Rooting for cavs though because not interested in the Celtics being matched up with nets in 1st round
  4. Yes! Buckeye football 2x, Celtics 1x (I did see them win in the 80s too but too young to really remember)
  5. Well that sounds damn good right now haha
  6. I’m going to a relative’s house out of town over Easter and her husband is a big bourbon guy. He has a collection. i like what I like and it’s pretty simple - Makers, or Bulleit in an old fashioned usually. I want to bring something nice but hopefully under $50. Any ideas?
  7. They still need to sign a few more more of these types before camp. They are at 66 under contract now, then between draft picks and UDFAs they will have to bring in these types of vet players to fill out the roster.
  8. There is some luck involved, but can also attribute to good scouting and good coaching/player development
  9. The working theory (not confirmed) by those in Steelers media is that he ran out of gas on the way to the airport and was trying to make his flight by running to the airport edit: I’m not convinced that he ran out of gas. I’ve seen other reports that there was no abandoned vehicle. I’m sure more will come out. Details sketchy and 2nd hand right now.
  10. Fortunately, I have seen a lot of these stories over the past couple days
  11. The actual wording was I believe that he was struggling to catch on with a team. This isn’t even accurate because he just signed a new deal with the Steelers. He isnt guaranteed a roster spot but it wasn’t as if he was let go after a year. they liked him and brought him back and by all accounts was developing and working hard and was competing to be QB2. He was doing really well personally and professionally and like Terry Mclaurin said “trying to become the best version of himself, just like all of us.” So sad.
  12. The reactions that I saw were from people who knew him and were in pain. The poorly worded announcement of his death, which was how a majority of people found out, deserves criticism on its face but combined with the emotion of the situation it resulted in some outrage as well. And I don’t think anyone can decide what is worthy of any type of reaction during a time of extreme shock and grief. I was not personally outraged by the tweet. I do think it was a poor decision on Schefter’s part. A tragedy came out of nowhere. A young man lost his life. The announcement was jarring and included something negative and unrelated to the situation. I certainly understand why some who are strongly emotionally tied to this man would feel outrage. At best, it was bad form. And ESPN was right to have him delete it and re-post.
  13. It could also be that elderly people sometimes have no filter, and will say exactly what they are thinking without considering the context of the situation or whether it is tone deaf, and also may not have the awareness of how quickly something can go viral now. i think it was an error in judgment to still have him doing media at this point.
