What's wrong with this picture? No mention of the Sabres after ANYBODY!!! At least if they signed some 4th line has been from the Chicago Blackhawks, we would know that Regier's heart is still beating. ;)

  2. Of the guys that signed today, who would we have wanted other than Aucoin?

Given all the bellyaching I've seen on TSW and other MBs today, you'd swear the Sabres had passed on signing Gretzky, Lemieux and Messier in their primes.  A lot of nervous nellies running around all of a sudden. ;)

    396796

That's the point...the Sabres should have been hot after Aucoin. As far as other players, how about Zhitnik or Foote?

Have you taken a look at the Sabres blueliners recently?

  3. Comment from Regier in tonights Buffalo News....

"Your preference always is to get a free agent for as cheap as you can and not lose anything in return, but at the end of the day whether we find something that works through free agency or a trade, I'll be OK with either one."

With his "get 'em as cheap as you can" way of thinking, everybody is scooping up the best players, while Darcy can definitely get sloppy seconds "as cheap as he wants".

  4. I haven't seen Gandy, but I am sure willing to give him a few more days.

    395799

I haven't seen him and don't need to. My eyes and ears of training camp are right here at TSW and that's good enough for me. I'm so pissed, I'm hoping we can pull off a trade with the Browns and get Pucillo back!

  5. Why didn't you take advantage of your internet connectivty and notify fox news of your emergency. Then they could have sent for some help and get an exclusive breaking news story all bundled together. Maybe next time you should invest in a satellite phone instead.

About the only advice you are going to get here is how to boil noodles, mix them in with scrambled eggs and sprinkle them with pickle juice. When crunchy....Aborto de Retatta.

Then again, who knows, maybe the retatta would be a good cure for snake bites.

  6. You mean like happened with Shelton last season?

The retard rollercoaster is in midseason form.

    395686

You mean Gandy hasn't been cut already? TD is slacking off. If he was doing his job and reading TSW daily, he would know that Gandy sucks and would have cut him on the spot with first notification being posted right here.

  7. I don't think there's a need for Khabby.

We need to stick with one of our goalies (hopefully either Miller or Noronen).  They're all talented, but no one besides Biron has been given a true chance yet.

I think Miller is the best of the three.

    395333

Biron has had his chance over the last few years and has proven to be nothing but inconsistent and mediocre. Give Miller first shot. If he shows he is still not ready, go with Noronen. Enough already with the three headed goaltending monster.

I put some photos in there, and I will be uploading more to my album tomorrow morning when I get out of work.  :D

    Here's the album....

Do the Bills have security keeping an eye on you. With all the pictures and your little black notebook, they are bound to get suspicious much like last year!

  9. Well, maybe this is oversimplifying things a bit, but losing the best forward, and the best defensemen on a team that hasn't really done anything in 5 years, may not be the worst thing, depending on who they are replaced with.

    395173

I agree with you that maybe it's time to make some changes, but your statement in bold says it all and sums up my concerns.

  10. I was pissed when the Bills didn't draft Peters only for them to pick him up in free agency....this guys got skills...

remember the blocked kick last year!...I also would like him as the blocking TE but for him to show something at LT means to me he's gonna be on the team again this year....which gives me a stiffy!

    394975

I'm sure TD and all the other GM's can tell you why Peters went undrafted by the Bills and 31 other NFL teams. Also, blocking a punt has nothing to do with transitioning to the position of LT. Even if all the stars align, he is still a year or two away from being an OL starter(best case scenario). Just my 2 cents.

  11. The Sabres chose to let Satan go.  They could have kept him if they wanted to.

And last season, Briere had more points than Satan and 1 less goal.

    395153

Whether the Sabres chose to let Satan go or it was his decision is irrelevent. You still have 30-40 goals and 70-80 points to replace in the lineup. What Breire scored doesn't matter in that he is not replacing Satan, he was in the lineup with him in 03-04.

  12. "I feel that I am the best," he said after the Buffalo Bills completed Day Two of training camp Sunday at St. John Fisher. "The film doesn't lie. The numbers don't lie either. I put up numbers every year. I'm versatile, I return punts as well as play special teams and I'm durable. I would put myself up against anybody in the league."

This one paragraph says it all. I don't believe that TD will sign NC to a contract that makes him the highest paid at his position. It's just not his style to throw that much money at a player. Hopefully I'm wrong or maybe NC's demands won't be as bad as I fear.

  13. I liked the guy to, but it was time for him to leave.  We have plenty of young scoring talent right now.

    395143

The question is what young talent is going to replace Satan's 30 to 40 goals and 70-80 points a year? Vanek had a good rookie year in Rochester, but he has yet to step on the ice against NHL competition.

I think Zhitnik will not be re-signed by the Sabres and in his place will be one of the 2nd tier defensemen. Do not expect any big free angency moves in the forward ranks.

So the Sabres lose their best forward and best defensemen, but the playing field has been leveled?

  14. Moulds is probably one of the only few players I wouldn't mind if TD overpaid as long as he retired as a Bill.

    392906

Let's not get sentimental. I don't want to see TD overpaying anyone. Especially ones at the end of their careers.
