1.

It would be nice to see the station interview more sports figures though...Who wouldn't like to hear what guys like Bryce Paup, Keith McKellar, Leonard Smith, etc are up to now a days???

This is what I would like to hear also. MORE INTERVIEWS!!!!

  2. Today, some older gentlemen from ohio calls in to tell Mike Schopp that there couldn't be a balk in little league baseball because players aren't allowed to lead off.  I played little league and know that to be true.  As you get older yes, but 10/11 year old kids can't steal bases.

Schopp disagrees and basically hangs up on the guy.  He was an older guy just calling to talk sports and the arrogant d!C#@ead Schopp treats him like a piece of garbage.  I think that's just wrong.  I think it was the biggest hunk of crap I've ever heard on the radio.

As long as I'm on a roll ranting about WGR, I'll keep right on going.

I heard the call today that you described above and was shaking my head when Mike "Mr. Mensa" Shoop hung up on the guy. I'm telling you that it kills Schoop to have to talk about anything other than baseball.

Where's the fu smiley. I could use it right about now.

  3. I think the LAME comedy bits are freakin hilarious

    410460

I guess I've become jaded when it comes to WGR. Except for Howard Simon, The Bulldog and Brian Kozial(one of the young weekend guys who does a great job & seems to have a lot of potential), I can hardly listen.

I actually enjoy Colin Cowherd more than most of the local on air staff.

  4. But yeah, Indian run casino in our front yard (Buffalo) absolutely sucks.  We can thank our Republican Governor & Democrat Masiello for this sh------- idea.  Leave the Casino's in Niagara Falls...

We currently have a building that formerly housed AM&A's(on Main St.) that has been vacant for a couple of decades except for a short run by a dept. store that was doomed from the start. We also have the Main Place Mall(right across the street from AM&A's) which has been reduced to a handful of stores and a food court that is busy only from 11AM to 2PM M-F. What's worse, leaving them as is or turning one of them into a Casino?

Anybody remember the Court Yard Mall? It was a food court in the basement of a building on the west side of Main St., just north of Court St. Guess what....it has been vacant for 15-20 years! A prime property that they cannot find a tenant for. This scenario is repeated all over downtown Buffalo.

Build the Casino downtown and build Bass Pro in the Aud. It's not like the local leaders have 100's of alternate plans that are waiting to be acted on.

  5. Cmon Pooj sing along to this '70's classic by America.... :(

    Muskrat, muskrat candlelight

Doin' the town and doin' it right

    In the evenin'

    It's pretty pleasin'

    Muskrat Susie, Muskrat Sam

Do the jitterbug out in muskrat land

    And they shimmy

    And Sammy's so skinny

And they whirled and they twirled and they tangoed

    Singin' and jingin' the jango

    Floatin' like the heavens above

It looks like muskrat love 0:)

Nibbling on bacon, chewin' on cheese :D

Sammy says to Susie "Honey, would you please be my missus?" <_<

    And she say yes

    With her kisses

And now he's ticklin' her fancy

    Rubbin' her toes

Muzzle to muzzle, now anything goes

As they wriggle, and Sue starts to giggle

And they whirled and they twirled and they tangoed

    Singin' and jingin' the jango

    Floatin' like the heavens above

    It looks like muskrat love

La da da da da ...

    Unfriggin' believable lyrics!! :lol::(:)

  6. At the end of the morning, Holcomb was running the two minute drill. Greer was burned twice, then our unsung CB Coy Wire stepped in front of a receiver and took the INT in for a score. It was across the field and I missed the intended target's number

    410038

Did he really step in front of the WR or was the WR running a crossing pattern, went to run behind Wire and the ball hit him in the chest, as he was pondering what bad angle he was going to take next? <_<0:)

  7. Let me just say how extremely impressed I am at this Bills message board!  I have only been on here for a few weeks, but boy have I not only been entertained by some of the funniest commentary in ages, but it's also obvious that my fellow bills fans are very knowledgeable and well-informed!

I just finished reading that retatta thread, and nearly p-issed my pants laughing so hard, and then when i saw Thailog80's avatar, i think i ruptured a kidney!  I haven't laughed that hard in forever!

I am proud to be a Bills fan and hope to contribute to this board with some insightful and funny commentary as well.

    GO BILLS!!!

It's a shame that the creator of the retatta has not been around for your follow-up enjoyment. In lieu of that, I give you this gem for your reading pleasure....

  8. For every step forward WGR takes towards respectabilty, they take two steps back. Case in point...they start up the audio vault on their website(which could be great for you out-of-towners) and then they decide to put up LAME comedy bits on it produced by Jeremy White and Greg Bauch. Even worse they are promoting it throughout the day as a home to these bits.

These assclowns should make up their minds if they want to work on a SPORTS STATION or the comedy network. The way I see it, they have a future in neither. <_<

  9. because of the mental anguish heaped upon me the past couple of weeks due to my presence at Hootie and the Blowfish and Huey Lewis concerts.  I am not going to be at REO Speedwagon tonight and it breaks my heart.  But frankly, I cannot endure the emotional beating I have taken.  I hope you are all happy with yourselves.  Now I am even questioning the upcoming Ted Nugent, Little Feat & Hall & Oates shows.  I thought we were family here, but I guess I was wrong.  I may become an AZ Cardinals fan, at least they respect other peoples tastes.  You are all a bunch of Ass Clowns! :(  :(  <_<  0:)  :(

Heard it from a friend who

Heard it from a friend who

Heard it from another you been messin' around

They say you got a boy friend

    You're out late every weekend

They're talkin' about you and it's bringin' me down

    :D:lol:

PS Pooj...If it makes you feel any better, I'm not much of a concert guy, but I'm a huge fan of '70's rock! :)

  10. Do a search on retatta and go to the oldest posts. The first reference was by Chef Jim...Retatta, the second reference way by AD...Aborto de Retatta and so on.

[edited]....Not counting references to fritatta 0:)

The evolution I remember from reading it was:

    Short Bus Fritatta (CTM)

    v

    Retard Fritatta (???)

  11. That said, the people who listen to Howard, DO NOT want to have to listen to Jeremy's shtick on the show. They are like oil and water and this is one of those circumstances where the counter-personalities are not a good thing. Jeremy alone causes me to turn off Howards show many morning.

    409760

Anyone who feels this way should take this post and email it to WGR. In the past, I've shared my view with WGR management on Jeremy being teamed with Howard.

  12. I find it hard to believe that WGR can't fill a couple hours of airtime with something more useful, productive and informative than an imagined PR coverup about a Willis McGahee injury to sell season tickets in mid-August.

    409505

Maybe it's just the way he comes across on the air, but it seems to me that Brad is just mailing it in every night. Any thoughts Brad?

  13. Short answer? Without a doubt.

    Our secondary is the best.

    409402

I think you would be hard pressed to believe that the Bills secondary is better than the Ravens...

    CB Samari Rolle

    CB Chris McAlister

    S Edward Reed

    S Will Demps

That being said, if Vincent continues to make the transition to FS and McGee can become more consistent, this secondary is definitely top 5 material.

  14. Dam, that would be a great trade for both parties, but only if you looking at this year, and this year alone. Cause when Grossman comes back, not your kinda stuck if your the bears.

    409625

I am not so sure why the Bears feel that Grossman is any different from any of the other "system" QB's who came out of the Univiversity of Florida under Spurrier.
