1. OK, enough of this "he cost us the game" bullcrap.  it's an ignorant statement.  yes, nate made a stupid play.  yes, if he knocks it down the game is over.  but where was the ball after smith caught it?  on the freaking 40 yard line!!!!  the bills' defense as a whole had numerous opportunities to win the game.  the bills' offense had numerous opportunities to put the game out of reach before that.

    stop the madness!  :)

4-14-JAC34 (1:18) (Shotgun) B.Leftwich pass to J.Smith to BUF 21 for 45 yards (N.Clements). Caught at BUF 22, left side.

  2. Listen, so far all the sports radio stations in Buffalo have been called out, all of the Buffalo newspapers have been called out, that only leaves TV, which means we've accounted for 2/3 of our "media options" in the town...

Further, MM wasn't taking a shot at the legitimate news reporters.  The shots flew over their heads, and I'm sure they got a chuckle out of seeing the bozos being taken to task.  He was taking a shot at the "ignorant media" members who insist that they have a "need to know."  So the title is perfectly accurate.  It didn't say "MM takes shot at all Buffalo media, which all happen to be ignorant," is said "MM takes shot at ignorant media."

Point taken, even though IMO some of the "fair" media take a bad rap here the first time anything negative comes out of their mouths.

  3. quit picking nits...at the bottom of my post i called out sullivan.

nonetheless, he's not the only media member who was making a big deal out of this nonsense.

    412068

It just gets occassionally tiresome around here. Whenever the media disses the Bills in any way, they are classified as ignorant, don't know anything, pompous, uninformed idiots.

Then the next day when they write something positive, they are glamorized as being one step from sainthood, mensa candidates and soon to be rhodes scholars.

  4. I'm wondering if Matthews makes the team? Would the Bills consider going with just Losman & Holcomb and possibly pickup a QB off waivers and stick him on the practice squad? Or did the Bills promise Matthews a roster spot prior to him signing a contract. For Matthews it was pretty clear coming into camp that he was going to be a #3 at best.

  5. I

Enjoy the moment - these things are rare.  We are witnessing dominance - players who know they're the best, play like it, and relish every moment of it.  We may never see it again - ever.  Championships are elusive - near-impossible.  At the very least, nomatter what happens, I'll be fired up to watch our D swarm every Sunday.

    412002

Coach T...I agree the defense has been very good the last couple of years and it appears on paper that they will be very good again this year. But..."We may never see it again - ever" talk is reserved for defenses like the Ravens and the Bears when they won Super Bowls in spite of their offenses.

  6. I draw the line at weenies that insist that they have a "need to know," and promote conspiracy theories when said information is not made available...

    412030

We agree that WGR crosses the line and keeps right on going, but they do that with everything. I just don't get the whole secrecy thing. Some people have stated it is because of HIPAA, but to me it's just the coaches and organizations playing games within the rules of the NFL.

[edited]Here is my beef with this policy as it relates to Roscoe....He hurt his wrist and everyone knows it, as evidenced by the cast and sling he was photographed wearing earlier this week. Where is the advantage in not giving out any details as to what is wrong with the wrist and what surgery was performed on it. I don't care if they don't want to say how long he will be out for.

  7. FWIW, this is from a fantasy football site I frequent....

WR Roscoe Parrish, Bills (wrist surgery) – Too bad, we were starting to like the idea of Parrish in the slot with Moulds and Evans in 3-WR sets. Our sources say the rookie just had pins inserted into his wrist so this little guy is gone until midseason.

  8. NC is worth top 4-6 CB money. If TD gives NC #1 CB money(i'm the best)...TD he would be out of his mind!

  9. While Bledsoe's tendency to hold onto the ball too long worries Parcells, it's a trait that has won the No. 1 pick of the 1993 draft the admiration of his teammates.

    411395

Yeah...they admire the fact that he can get up after getting hammered time and time again from holding the ball too long, but at they same time, they are pissed off beyond belief that a QB that has been in the league as long as he has, can't figure out when to throw the ball away.

  10. Billy Volek doing a little damage control...

Titans | Volek Tells His Side of the Story

    Thu, 18 Aug 2005 05:29:50 -0700

Tom Wright, of the Leaf-Chronicle, reports Tennessee Titans QB Billy Volek cleared the air Wednesday, Aug. 17, after practice. Not only does the six-year veteran want to stay in Nashville this year, Volek said he was upset with the way his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, portrayed him in the media. "I called him up right away and said, 'Hey, what did you do, man?'" said Volek of his reaction to the story saying that Rosenhaus was looking to set up a trade with a team that could give Volek a chance to start. "But we are on the same page now. It was a big miscommunication, and I can't believe how big it got."

PS What TSW member had the picture of Billy Volek modified with the word dork across his forehead...4everbills or jp-era(or were they one in the same)???

  11. LMAO

    "Drew Bledsoe Sideview Mirror Helmet"

"In an effort to protect slow, sack-prone QBs from having their brains scrambled by crushing blitzes, this classic helmet has been fitted with a sideview mirror. Keep one eye on the action downfield and the other on that defensive end who just broke your O-line. Coming soon: the Leon Lett model."

I may have to post this over on a Cowboy message board. Where was the Bills version of this when we really needed it!

    :)

  12. I was visiting with a cousin who used to be in the Bills training staff - he mentioned that McGahee has a slight tear of cartaledge in the knee.  They're hoping that nothing comes loose and he'll be able to return this weekend.

    411210

A slight tear my A$$!! All major ligaments have been torn to shred. Somebody please help....

Narrator: "Willis McGahee, Running Back. A man barely alive." Tom "Oscar Goldman" Donahoe: "Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic man. Willis McGahee will be that man. Better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster."

  13. Yes it does.....but pulling out !@#$tard and some of the others directed at a radio host who recognizes TBD doesn't help.....I mean, damn.

    410742

I agree. Clearly a case of not knowing when you have crossed the line. <_<
