  1. He is quick and elusive but never had "blazing speed"    He is fast but not the fastest guy on the team.  He will reain a very good punt returner and a good weapon offensively, but never more than a third/slot receiver because of size.  And that's fine.

It's the elusiveness that I'm waiting to see. Being able to run quickly in a straight line isn't being elusive. Maybe next year he will be more elusive. :D

  2. naw, not really.  The elusiveness isn't there so much at the NFL level, but at least he has hands.  Antonio Brown couldn't catch a cold.

I should have phrased my originial post differently. My comparison is more of a guy who has good(not great) straight ahead speed and goes down very easily. Not so much of a comparison as to how he can catch the football.

  3. Am I the only one not impressed by RP's so-called blazing speed? I believe there was one kick or punt return yesterday where he appeared to be caught from behind by a LB. I don't see any elusiveness from him on the passes he has caught or the kicks he has returned and because he is 170 lbs. soaking wet, he can't break any tackles and goes down easily.

I know it is only his first year, but I don't see anything special about his future. He probably would have been a better pick for the Rams in their wide open offense.

    Remind anyone of Antonio Brown?

  4. If TD is so good a promoting the Bills and getting people to buy tickets we should keep him in that position. However, if a change needs to be made I think we should get rid of his GM title and get someone new. There are some negatives to this, but it could be seen as a compromise position after this horrible season.

RW is paying TD a boatload of cash to build a football team, not to sell tickets. That's where his so-called expertise is. TD got the title of President so that he wouldn't have to answer to anyone but the 80+ year old owner of the team. I have no proof of this, but I bet TD does not have a lot to do with the non-football day-to-day operations. I'm sure there are plenty of qualified staff in the front office that take care of this.

TD has had 5 years to land this team in the playoffs and has failed miserably. Time for him to move on.

  5. In hind sight that was the smartest thing he ever did, MLB is a money losing black hole for small markets and if you don't like losing with the bills you certainly wouldn't like losing for 20 or thirty years straight in MLB....

Sometimes I wonder though...if small market teams like KC and PIT have been losing money for all these years, why do the owners not move them to another city or sell the teams? Maybe it's because they are not in as bad a shape finacially as perceived.

  6. Before I'd support Golisano, I have to see how he handles the Sabres.  His first year showed me NOTHING good.  His moves (or lack of them) this year, again, showed me NOTHING at all.  So far, the team is performing.  Let's see if he can be a good and classy owner for a few years before placing our beloved Bills in his hands.

JJ and Rich would be good options as they have pretty good sports-team experience and would likely keep the team in the Bufftown.  Right now the team is Ralph's and he's not selling or moving it.  That's all good as far as I'm concerned.

I'm still pissed at Bob Rich for that blank check waving charade at the owners meeting many moons ago, when he led everyone to believe that he was going to bring MLB to Buffalo.

  7. Just a thought since everyone here seems to know everything that happened...but what if Moulds deserves this?

I have no proof of this, but I have a hunch that a select group of vets are trying to undermine MM's authority. The inmates cannot run the asylum and if they don't like it, they need to be shown the door.

  8. Forget about TD, MM & EM, it all starts at the top. I think Golisano will be the next owner of the Buffalo Bills. By owning the Sabres he has built up his resume and when the Bills become available, I believe he will drop the Sabres and move up to play with the big boys.

Notice that I said the next owner of the BUFFALO Bills as I don't believe the NFL will allow this franchise to be moved out of WNY.

PS This is assuming he gives up his aspirations for public office.
