1. Moulds is probably one of the only few players I wouldn't mind if TD overpaid as long as he retired as a Bill.

Let's not get sentimental. I don't want to see TD overpaying anyone. Especially ones at the end of their careers.

  3. I am confident in the '05 squad, but let's not forget they beat 6 nobody's last year and the Jets, Rams, and Shehawks (who are not exactly powerhouses).

Seattle, St. Louis and the Jets may not be POWERHOUSES, but they were all playoff teams last year. Give a little credit, where credit is due.

  5. Vikings | Tice Plays Good Samaritan

    Fri, 29 Jul 2005 05:53:57 -0700

Don Seeholzer, of the Pioneer Press, reports Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Tice spent part of his last day before training camp visiting a 10-year-old Minneapolis boy who was hit in the side by a stray bullet Sunday, July 24, while playing football in his back yard. He presented the boy with a signed football, a QB Daunte Culpepper picture and a flag football kit. He also extended an invitation to the boy to attend a Vikings practice after he is released from the hospital. Then when the boy wasn't looking, Tice swiped his prized rare football card collection and is trying to scalp it on ebay.

  6. If reports are true (that JP put his shoulder into Vincent), it's more like keep JP away from Vincent.

    393159

Yeah that makes sense. The guy with the red jersey on in order to protect him from being hit, goes out of his way to throw a shoulder into a defensive back who is trying to avoid contact with him. If that's the case, I have grave concerns about the level of common sense that are QB of the future has.

  7. TD comment on Roscoe negotiations....

"This isn't at the point where you would say, "Boy, we're really concerned about that particular player,' " Donahoe said. "We've had conversations (with Rosenhaus). We've talked about some parameters of the kinds of deals we'd like to do. I believe we'll be able to get something done."

  8. It's Sports, Inc.  The new was capitalized since it was at the beginning of the sentence.

Oh and this folks have a pretty good rep.  Much better then the popularity contest that is Madden.

    393073

When I've subscribed to ESPN insiders in the past, I've always found the player evaluations by Scouts Inc., to be both in-depth and pretty accurate. I'm not saying they are right on the money for every single player, but those who have never seen their work, shouldn't just trash them.

  9. He wasn't fired, was he?  I thought Donahoe brought another guy in, but when he did, he game Jones a promotion or new title or something, which ultimately probably gave him more cash.  I thought Jones left on his own.

Sometimes when you are stripped of the duties you previously held and "promoted" into a new position, you don't have a choice but to leave.
