  1. There's been a lot of talk about expanding the NFL season, in essence to increase revenue for owners as a compromise when the CBA comes up later this year. At this point (and Roger Goodell has said it won't happen before 2010) I can't see the NFLPA ever agreeing to a 17 or 18 game season and shortening the preseason. There's too much risk for injuries.

It's alarming again how many players are hurt already this year, and this morning the list grew even larger. Seattle lost starting guard Rob Sims, to go along with their three receivers of Branch, Burleson, and Engram. Miami and Jacksonville lost starting guards. Marques Colston is out 4-6 weeks, Seattle WR Drew Bennett the same time as Colston, and of course everyone's favorite man to hate, Tom Brady, is done for the season. Throw in the Vince Young's injury (he could be mentally and physically hurt), and in one week, the NFL has lost a host of name players.

Of course, this happens every year, but with teams spending more money (and at the same time making more money) and expectations high, losing key players seems to be at an all-time high.

    I fixed your post.

  2. Well it's a boring Tuesday at work, both my bosses are out of the office and before I do anymore work, I'm awaiting feedback on the availability of a product. So here goes:

    • The Bills not only beat the Jaguars this Sunday, they do so by three or more scores (diff of 9-21 pts)
    • David Garrard will be too hurt to play in the fourth quarter (we will sack him 7+ times)
    • Jacksonville gains AT MOST 80 yards rushing on Sunday.
    • Special Teams gets one more TD this week in Jax.
    • Jason Peters starts the second half, doesn't play the final drives of the fourth quarter.
    • James Hardy gets his first TD as a pro this weekend.
    • We will be 5-0 going into the bye week.
    • The announcement of Lee Evans new contract will come during or BEFORE the bye week.
    • At least once over the course of this season, the Bills will be featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
    • Trent will throw more than 25 TD passes this year and fewer than 15 INT's.
    • The Bills will play at least one home playoff game after the New Year.
    • Lee Evans makes his first Pro Bowl. Joining him are Donte Witner, Schobel, Stroud, Moorman, and Parrish (ST).

With Jax's beleagured OLine, this one is there for the taking. After watching the kind of pressure our DL is capable of, things could get ugly for the Jags this Sunday!

    Flame Away!

Don't forget about this bold prediction you made last week on the number of Hardy TD's this year...

  3. The entire upper bowl is for Military (free tickets as long as you are in uniform) and most sections are tapped off with business advertisements THE WHOLE SECTION IS TARPED!

I just tried on ticketmaster to get 2 tickets in the upper deck for the Bills game and they were available, so they are not just for the military.

  4. Sorry but if you looked around the whole stadium, most everyone was standing for the entire first half and then some. Our section was standing and cheering loudly until the middle-end of the 3rd quarter.

Sorry, but I did look around the entire upper deck(Bills side) as these folks stood and except on 3rd downs when on defense or when the Bills had a big play, they were sitting down.

There is more to the stadium than the lower level endzone sections. <_<

  5. Oh man call the waaaah-bulance. Move to Atlanta or Carolina with the rest of the wine and cheese crowd if you want dead silence and a$$es glued to the seats the entire game so YOU can have the experience you expect. Barring that, either stay home and watch the game on TV or be big boys and girls and direct your complaints to the ushers.

Did I say that you have to remain seated the whole game or remain silent? I was talking about THE ONLY IDIOTS in the entire upper deck on the Bills side who wanted to stand for the entire game. Maybe if they want to stand and watch the game, they should be the ones staying at home, not me. They can stand in their living room from morning until night for all I care.

  6. just a heads up, they don't use aunt rosies anymore. they went to some other brand and the loganberry tastes like watered down apple juice. I had to take it back and get mountain dew.

Last time I went they had no loganberry at all. I thought they had dropped it from their menu completely.

PS Anyone who rates Taco Bell over Might Taco and then gives the very overrated and overpriced Anchor Bar a  has some issues.
