  1. cell phone, but really how do you defend steve? he sucked.
  2. Jboyss I agree with the non-weird part of your post but the part where u worship Sj and his " clutch" Catches is laughable.... You mean those tough 7 yard slants he caught w his "emaculate" route running? Sj was a joke...a few pegs beneath Calvin johnson...that argument is so tiresome. I wish sj had been At least a 7 if you can give calvin a 10.... Or did u enjoy a slow...non clutch, Injured every game receiver? Who gets dumb penalties?
  3. Could this be the end of an era for the all "XJ" Bills team? Weve already seen the #2 all time XJ Bill leave when SJ got the boot. By next year the first XJ player- FJ could retire and CJ could leave via free agency. That would leave us with only an EJ and a TJ. If they dont play well this year even they too could be history. leaving us potentially no _J players left on the team! from FJ SJ CJ TJ and EJ to just just using regular full sounding names We already saw the quick rise and fall of the all phallic team with wood levitre and wang!... that era ended extremely premature (get it?) these things dont last forever people! How cool it would be though if FJ lasted 2-3 more seasons and ended up being the first and the last.
  4. so you are refering to that one time he did this last year? I remember one jump catch drop and people wanted his head. In the superbowl i saw a couple seahawks jump to catch passes. they caught them and no-one complained then. its useful technique when you think you will take a big hit as the ball arrives. As for TJ, Fitz underthrew him about every deep attempt his first year, then EJ threw him out of bounds or short...or long on about every attempt last year. TJ is a solid 4 due to his real speed, a talent not easily found, and he is a decent #2 if someone is injured. Goodwin is better but could never be a #2. I like TJ and he gets way too much flak here. I blame the QBs and lack of deep balls thrown his way. thats his specialty. It took the board 3 years to see SJ wasnt any good even when it was obvious to me. Tjs been hammered since year 1 when he got about 20 balls thrown at him. Why not leave TJ alone til he has some more chances?
  5. the $20 is baaaaackkk!!!! I always thought the most hilarious thread here was the oone where people made up a bunch of stories about him stealing there $20... true story, I was walking in downtown seattle the other day and as I went to pay for a coffee a $20 fell out of my wallet, I went to pick it up when an oversized Nike shoe in green and blue seattle colors suddenly appeared and STEPPED on it! I looked up and saw a man with dreaded hair and some gold teeth looking at me with a smile. He said, "Seattle aint done paid me yet, ima need that twenty dollars" he then stiff armed me and ran off in sort of a bow-legged gait.
  6. WHat I want to know is where were all of you 3 years ago when i got massively flamed for even suggesting SJ was merely not a true "#1" ??? no one here mentioned the Jets drop either, that and the atlanta and pittsburg, were definite game losers, the New England drop was not the sole reason we lost that game, and it was a tougher catch than it looked. NE had time and could have still managed a TD regardless if he makes that 3 yard catch. Interesting how people still think 1000 yards is more meaningful than wins. Ill take a WR who gets 900 yards a season every year as long as he is clutch, has a low drop % and could actually go deep, oh and who doesnt get hurt every year because he has a lazy work out regime.
  7. maybe brown knows how to run through a hole. CJ seems to run sideways when theres a hole in front of him, then runs forward when theres nothing there. also maybe brown can break a tackle, something cj hasnt done in two years. hes too busy fumbling.
  8. this thread isnt about dareus, its about drafting 10 or trading up...or back versus staying put. Dareus is an example of a good talent but at 3 is he a world class game changer? would you rather have gotten aj green? i would have. regardless its about draft strategies and how i agree w whaley after looking back on 10 years of mediocrity.
  9. I originally wanted to trade back ,grab Ebron/ODB/Lewan/Mosley and grab an extra second. When i saw the Bills actually moved up I was pissed! After about 10 min i started realizing I just couldnt be angry anymore. I began to realize the pattern of mediocrity had been BROKEN! I think we landed a top tier once in a decade guy. We paid a price (not a future mortgaged however) I went back 10 years and looked at the top 4 guys along with who we actually got in those years.... - I left off all the busts/out of the nfl/non factors/and tackles as non of them are "playmakers" -if a guy did end up being a "once a decade" talent in the top 10 hes in ( ) 04 eli rivers fitzgerald (bigben) evans losman 05 alex smith no pick 06 mario (vernon davis) witner mcargo 07 Megatron (peterson) no pick 08 chris long mattyice mckelvin 09 stafford Maybe 10 bradford suh spiller 11 cam von dareus ajgreen (julio peterson jjwatt aldon) dareus 12 luck RGiii gilmore 13 no one (richardson@13 ) ej (kiko) observations... -Since Lee evans beween 04 and 09 we drafted 4 busts and one "starter" (mclovin) in 6 years jeeeesh, worse than i thought! -drafting top 4 doesnt guarantee a top talent as most years had teams drafting busts and non factor players in the top 4. -some of the top guys are just average QB's at this point -while the tackles taken were important, no ones getting excited about their team over one. ill take mine in the second thank you! -last years draft didnt produce an impact player til pick 13 sheldon richardson -in 10 years players @ around 10 we could have had were bigben, jjwatt, revis, orakpo -2011 was like this draft where the supreme talent is from 1-7 but then its guys like locker gabbert and ponder -trading up into the end of the first netted us supreme talents like mcargo and losman. -trading back netted us kiko rather than just reaching for EJ. Less bust factor when you have 2 guys instead of 1. while some of our players picked at around 10 are good, none have been as spectacular as watkins should be. i suspect last years draft was an overall poor class leading to a talented '14 draft which should then mean a weak class in '15. Glad we kept our second this year and gave away next years first. I was so ecstatic to wake up post draft realizing we got an electrifying difference maker at an exciting position this year rather than my normal post draft mentality which usually goes something like..."well i guess we needed a corner/well I guess we needed a passrusher or what the hell?(whitner, losman, spiller) " whaley has made me change my opinion on trading back, I think if you are a medicore team that will never draft top 4 because you go 6-10 every year, you need to be aggressive and move up, if not, move back. standing pat and drafting at 10 hasnt gotten us anywhere in ten years. In summary I think its was wise to jump up this year and get Watkins....heres why 1. we will probably win this year and pick in the 20's ( were loaded w talent now) 2. next years draft will be lower quality than this years 3. watkins allowed us to trade SJ so we only lost a 1st in a weak draft a year away. (we have watkins now) 4. if EJ blows and we draft top 3 then F it, we are hopeless anyways if that happens. 5. at least now we cant pick a bust in next years first round
  10. stevie isn't a winner, he was a loser, you cant throw balls to 5 wrs at once, and he hada huge cap number, great addition by subtraction, I called this august of last year.
  11. wait so woods is off the team? maybe its because hes lazy, doesn't work out, acts childish, drops clutch passes, pouts. could that be why?
  12. i think a good strategy is to draft a qb by the mid to late rounds every season, let him be a backup and if has one good game, trade him for someones first round pick the next season, like how we got rob johnson after his one good game debut. He also may end up being good enough to play all season and we could trade him anyway for a first like how we gave up a 1 for bledsoe and I think the cheifs did for Cassel. Its a cheap and quick way to make a low draft pick into a high draft pick and give your team a backup qb to boot. He may even turn into the next Brady or Foles .
  13. cool if he decides to work out at all this offseason and not pull a hammie
  14. dont u mean martin after a trade back? who cares if he wont upset glenn, id be upset if we drafted a guard at 9!
  15. sj had a typically worse year than the previous and has steadily gotten more injured, top 40 doesnt say much when watkins is a top 5 talent and would take his place anyway. the revis nonsense is so 2010 and never resulted in wins anyways
  16. well first they would be able to draft a qb at nine instead of 4, second they would get another pick, number 41, and third they would get a decent receiver in the mix to boot, or maybe i didnt understand your question. seems obvious to me. we did the same last year btw
  17. wow im glad youre not in charge of the bills draft. so Watkins is better than whoever we get at 9, a second round talent (like kiko or woods) and next years 1(which could be another Watkins) and losing sj? so 1 > 4 players???? ill stick to math and keep four players over one and when he tears an acl?
  18. again you know this how? because we re signed chandler??? laughable.
  19. wow I don't know, maybe we get Watkins or robinson and still need a TE????, I remember taking spiller when we had lynch and fred on the team, your post ignores a common practice every year in the nfl.. ebron in this draft is not guaranteed so chandler is called.....insurance.
  20. we have a guy like that now who also rarely is asked to block, SJ
  21. just watched ebrons combine, hes as fast as evans but about 10+ pounds more muscle, ill take ebron and an extra pick all day now. hes gonna be like gates was imo. I mean id rather have ebron and a 2nd round right tackle than say just Lewan, or just Evans. its not even close. and what has gragg or moeki ever shown?
  22. SJ came at a time when evans had gotten hurt, old and expensive and we had no other real WR options, mix that with the fact we played from behind in a pass heavy offense and with a QB who targeted him 10 times+ a game and you get a guy w 1000 yards n a season (barely) that actually sucks, SJ cant hide hisYPC-12 and his injuries: 3 years running now, or his big play fails. 1000 yards back to back is not better than a 1600 yard season followed by and 800 yard season which both andre eric and lee all accomplished-with 16ypc averages no less, but they were true #1's. Not stop gaps default starters with maturity issues like SJ.
  23. I now always have fear of hardy 2.0, (evans) maybin 2.0 (barr) witner 2.0 (any small safety) parrish 2.0 (Goodwin) and losman 2.0 (EJ) lol its not logical but I wonder how it has effected the team since good ol marv got involved as a manager
  24. graham is the only guy on the team with real speed aside from goodwin, I don't want to lose him no matter what unless we draft evans. Goodwin broke his wrist and was out 6 games after 1 nfl play, hes small and fragile. we need graham- he cost us a third and russel Wilson so WE NEED TO SQUEEZE SOME BLOOD FROM HIM, if slow eyes (EJ) could throw deep like thad does graham would make us all forget he kinda sucks. he got about 50 more opportunities per season is how, he has a much higher drop percentage than graham, graham does not have bad hands, he dropped a big one last year and maybe another one his rookie season, SJ drops 5-10 a year including game winners. SJ is by far a more unreliable player. Graham has had a couple big TD catches get called back for holding penalties. Whens the last time SJ caught a deep ball?? oh yeah 2011. SJs ypc last year says it all 11.5 ypc TJ's? almost 16 good do it, steve ( which is his name) not stevieeee, is not a 1
