  1. He offers an in house replacement, continuity from last years success. With the right guys on Offense, Schwartz could continue to monitor the defensive while Pep or Henderson take the reigns as DC. Schwartz is a guy with head coaching experience and I'd rather roll with him than risk losing another DC for a 4th year in a row
  2. For the right price and for the right system. 3 mill a year? A one year prove it deal is most likely all he'll find elsewhere
  3. anybody except Marrone. maybe i'll submit my resume...
  4. They call it a 'family' and I'm sure for some it is. When it comes down to it, I'd rather have a guy who means it and stick to his guys instead of saving face and quitting
  5. Can Schwartz not be HC and bring in a seasoned OC?
  6. Schwartz>Reich We cannot afford to lose this defense and I'm afraid passing over Schwartz will do just that.
  7. Schwartz is a clear knee jerk pick. I wouldn't mind this move at all.
  8. Is spiller now someone we need to resign? hughes? spikes? I'm praying for this.
  9. I can't help but wonder if Kiko knows what's going on...
  10. whatever it is, I hope it entails drilling another oil well to pay for the top tier coaching staff they're bringing in
  11. An in-house replacement with a killer defensive squad. If you bring the right OC in, you're cooking with gas. His history is a mixed review
  12. I don't get the disapproval of Schwartz for HC?
  13. Hughes? Spiller? Spikes? I can't help but wonder how much value the new HC will have for these players. Does Hughes mean as much? Does spiller all of a sudden become relevant? What a new year...
  14. Just like most DT's this year...
  15. Hackett better be packing his bags...SEE YA!
  16. Schwartzzyyyyy?! Rex?!? Happy New Year.
  17. His talent is tempting, yet he's hit his peak performance and is trending down. I'd rather spend the money on something more realistic. If they release him, I'd expect Dallas to pursue him as a safety in case they are unable to retain Murray
  18. With the current cap situation, I think they're looking at 23ish M to spend. How tht money will be divided, I know not.
  19. It appears Whaley and co. are all in on EJ. Despite the benching for Orton, I believe they are set on EJ. With so many other holes to fill (TE,G,T,RB) I will be watching for late round fliers in this years Senior bowl
  20. Thanks. I do like the "five best" approach. But it only makes sense if you hve guys that can take on more than one position. Maybe taking a tackle in the 2nd wouldn't be the worst idea.
  21. That's for the post. Though many of your comments/ideas are different than my own, I enjoy reading everyone's insight. My one major problem is with your O line ideas. Flipping Glenn and Henderson won't help anything IMO. Though he did regress, Glenn and a decent year filled with subpar QB play and little to no help from the OC. I wouldn't expect a mere flip of the line to solve anything. Glenn will be fine where he is. As far as Wood, he obviously struggled. However, he was playing next to below averag talent on both sides. I think he'll be okay as well. Give him some real guards to work with and it will undoubtedly improve his play. Guard needs to be addressed through FA and the draft. If you want a center, like you suggest, it would need to be early (2nd) if you're planning on him starting and kicking wood to guard. I would rather see Wood stay put, a third round guard and break the bank for Iupati this offseason. A man can dream
