  1. Those that put in the time and add thoughtful and beneficial content, even if previously explored or discussed, deserved their own thread imo
  2. Does anyone else hate when a speaker refers to a specific person in it's plural form in order to try and suggest a particular style of player, and then go on to name them all? Thad Brown: "The second year quarterbacks...the Sam Darnolds, the Baker Mayfields, the Josh Allens...." Like, dude, how stupid do you think we are? What a pointless piece of overused jibber jabbed that so many media/journalists use
  3. Wow! What an amazing rep! It's phenomincal.how they've mastered that pitch and catch at 50% speed
  4. The problem is not me. The problem is there are hundreds of people just LIKE me who also think their ideas and thoughts are more important than they actually are. Classic Disclaimer Thread Starters: "I didn't know where to put this..." "Mods, feel free to move..." "Although it was mentioned elsewhere, I thought this deserved its own discussion"
  5. Totally making my own post game thread tomorrow morning after I break down the JA film. Sorry, but I just live for the lime light ??? I agree!
  6. Group chat: what up with all the group chats?!
  7. Not a crime. Merely a result of collective bargaining
  8. Used all my tin foil on a hat for reasons I'd rather not specify. Looks like I'll opt for a digital antenna
  9. I'm with you on this. I like steak, and will cook it every once and a while at home. I rarely, if ever, order it out to dinner. It isn't worth the price at a restaurant IMO. I'd rather opt for something just as tasty for a small price tag
  10. Ahh been there. Just not behind a check THAT big. Usually we do it for a round of drinks or a meal between 6-8 ppl. Great to win, sucks to lose
  11. Daily listener on my drive home from work. I love it. I agree, Schop can be a real pain, but it's entertaining. I don't mind someone with a differing opinion. You just have to learn to take what he has to say with a grain of salt.
  12. Bar Bill is opening a joint out in the North towns for us lucky folk up here Opening Fall 2019
  13. Couldn't agree more on your thoughts about Trent Murphy
  14. They could very well become 1 and 2 this year. However, I'd take the under on a combined 80 receptions without Kroft in the picture all day. For a measuring stick, Kroft had 42 receptions for 404 yards in 2017. You're more likely to see one of them reciprocate this than both adding up to 80.
  15. I'm more okay with this prediction more so than the OP's either Sweeney OR Knox. No doubt they're hard not too root for and get excited about. But I'm trying to temper expectations. What's a successful season for either of these guys statistically? Rec's, Yards, TD's? Our leading TE last year was Croom with 22 receptions, 250 yards and 1 TD. Go ahead and add in Clay's statistics (21, 184, 0) to form a total and you get a whopping 43 receptions, 434 yards and a TD. That is less than average as far as the league goes...collectively! Let's stop comparing our current players to past players, and start looking at them in comparison to players across the league: If either player totals this amount of yards or receptions as last years COMBINED total, you can certainly count it a success. A rookie TE with these stats (43, 434, 1) would be encouraging. But keep some perspective. If you compare this stat line to last years TE crop across the league, we'd collectively finish 19th in yards, right ahead of Jesse James but behind C.J. Uzomah (43, 439, 3).
  16. They kept 4TE's last year I think the difference is you'll see 3 on the initial 53 and then 4 once Kroft is activated from PUP
  17. I appreciate this post but I was being sarcastic. See my post prior to the one you quoted stating I liked Tyrod: "Always loved me some Tyrod. In hindsight, not sure if it was because it was a glimmer of excitment in an otherwise dreadful decade or I truly thought he could get the job done. Either way, I hope he finds happiness and success in LA. He always seemed to be a 1st class player and guy"
  18. I always knew he was garbage

  20. Yes, 100. I ain't going to lie, def said I was going to buy a Sweeney HOF jersey. But if there is one thing we do well (or me at least), it's getting overly excited for a usually disappointing reason
  21. No worries, it comes natural to me! One thing we can agree on is that we’re optomistic regarding the position. One thing we vastly disagree on is that these potential players are studs. I mean, show some confidence in this prediction and narrow it down. If you feel strongly about it, which TE is going to be a stud, in your opinion. To me, Ed Oliver is going to be a stud. To put any TE on this roster in the same class is ridiculous. You're entitled to your thoughts and opinions, and no hard feelings over a disagreement. I just don't understand the confidence you have
  22. Yes, in a way. Mostly they’re expanding their market and making there product more available. The NFL is becoming less of a sporting event and more of a year round entertainment package. Look no farther than the new stadiums being built. These things are amusement parks. Or us. Just a bunch of sad sacks of crap with nothing better to do on a Sunday afternoon than discuss football.
  23. He’s got a kegger the night before. Frat Stafford knows what’s up.
  24. This. It’s just evolving
  25. Pass #13 for those keeping track. I like his comments here. I’m not going to speculate on the pre-snap communication because we really don’t know the protection/scheme that their in. Biggest take away and my favorite point he makes that I initially thought as well: he makes the right throw. Could have had Beasley or Jones for the first, but had the confidence, awareness and ability to make the bigger dagger down the seam.
