If they don't extend Evans by the time the draft rolls around then they will probably take a WR #11. If they are offered an opportunity to trade down, then they might make a move down, but I don't expect them to actively look for partners. It's not unrealistic to think that a team would like to slide into that spot to draft McFadden or Matt Ryan if one of them slides. If they do extend Evans then they'll take the best available player at a position of need whether it's CB, LB, DL, OL, etc.

What's done is done. If anything, put the time, effort, and money into a backup system so this doesn't happen again. my .02

I think it all depends on Evans. If they sign him long term before the draft, then they'll wait till the 2nd or 3rd rd for a WR. If not, then they'll grab one at #11 and maybe another one soon after.

Right, because there's no difference between finding a tiny shred of optimism in losing one game by a...let's say "crotch" hair...and tanking an entire season.

This has probably been discussed before, but it's new to me ...plus any previous discussion has been shot to hell in the crash anyway.... Found this tidbit on NFL.com... So since it really didn't have any impact on our playoff chances, this P.O.S. loss is looking pretty good right about now.

If you don't think WR is a very important need on this team, then what was the biggest offensive problem last year? I don't think it's reasonable to say that RB or the offensive line was the problem (especially in pass protection). Tight End was a problem, but no TE is important enough to drag an offense down to the bottom of the stat chart. Pretty much the only things left are the QB, WR, or the offensive coordinator. It must be one of those then eh?

Bryant Johnson, Isaac Bruce, Darrell Jackson, Arnaz Battle, Ashley Lelie and Jason Hill -- I don't know anything about Jason Hill but, with the exception of Bruce, I don't know if I've seen a bigger collection of underachievers in one place. BRA-VO! San Fran. It's a good thing Tony Bennett left his heart in San Francisco, because these guys are going to need it.

That would be somewhat surprising. I had read an extremely unsubstantiated rumor this morning that he had been offered a contract by the Bears, but never heard San Fran rumblings.

Decent episode with the exception of the Planes, Trains and Automobiles scene with Jin losing his cab and getting his cell phone run over. That felt "slapstick-ish" to me.

It was his agent speaking on behalf....so that might give you some idea about how much value you should place on this.

The real loss here is that I can no longer track everyone's simulation league roster in their signatures. PS - we might want to add a warning for epileptics. Every time I post, the screen blinks and shifts and does all sorts of crazy stuff.
