Spot on. The whole team seems to raise their level of focus and intensity for these big games. (Makes me wonder why they laid such an egg against the Bengals last year).
I think it also has to do with Elam though. Lot of negative innuendo in the comments by McDermott about Elam. Even today, he basically was like, “we’ll see” about Elam.
Not sure how much of a genius Fangio is if he needs like all-pros at every position on the field to make his defense work.
we could have scored 70 points if he had to. They put up no real resistance.
He will be back next year, I have no doubt.
Will have to work hard, but lots of great athletes have come back from Achilles. Can’t be much different than the running and cutting that bball players like Klay and Durant do, and they made it all the way back.
As much as I hate to say this, looking at the replay again, sauce did hold
on that 3rd and 20. He didn’t need to. I think they called it too because it was near the area of the interception.
Maybe it is just me, but I don’t care for Pachenko. Think he is okay. But given his size and the way he runs, he just doesn’t seem like he will stay healthy and be effective.
I actually wasn’t sure any of them played today. They were just run over. that Chubb trade and signing too is looking awful. I would rather have Leonard Floyd.
Something going on with the scheme. Don’t think either TE has been running routes with a lot of depth. Sort of surprising, because saw Kincaid get more upfield and up the seam in the preseason games.
the dolphins have a lot of money in that defense. Holland and Howard (and Ramsey) in secondary, and Wilkins, siler, Davis, and Chubb up front. If Fangio can’t work with that group, they are in trouble.
What is amazing about this game is that the Bills had two dropped picks, and two fumbles that they didn’t recover (one negated by an inconsequential lining up Offside penalty).
This could have easily been far more lopsided than 48-20.
