One positive from this game is that the 49ers got much needed experience having to come from behind against the Packers and Lions. If they're caught trailing the Chiefs, they won't blink. I believe in that kind of experience mattering.
One negative is that the 49ers relied on a lot of mistakes that the Chiefs aren't likely to make. They need to start the game much stronger than they have the past two weeks.
You are right. I have said for a while that the Niners are not built to come from behind and can’t do it. I thought for sure GB would put them away.
they proved me (and others) wrong and have now figured out how to play this way.

Lions are cursed just like us. It’s some kind of rust belt plague that has inflicted Detroit, Cleveland, and Buffalo. I have no idea how Pittsburgh avoided it.

Campbell being aggressive cost them this game. Should have kicked the 3 to go up 27-10. Should have kicked the 3 when you had 4th and 3. Game should be 34-30 49ers
so dumb. So pointless to be that aggressive.
need to know your opponent and the game. This isn’t some random week 7 game.

Ravens will score here and KC will run out the clock. KC being conservative all second half, but you know PM will make the plays at the end.

Awful by the refs to call a PF there. A too hard Offside?

They need to get Lamar out on some designed runs. These dump downs aren’t going to get it done. Need some opportunities for explosive plays.

Why wasn’t that grounding? He clearly was throwing it to no one/away from Kelce on that last play? . Allen has been called for much worse.

Hyde and Poyer dropped off significantly this year and I'm confident that Beane and Mcdermott can find suitable replacements. With the addition of Rasul Douglas, I think it could be Benford and a rookie at safety.
I was a huge “Benford at safety” guy right when we drafted him.Now I am not so sure.
He seems great at corner. He also gets dinged up a lot, so I am concerned about him playing safety and probably having to play in the box more.

My wife had a brain aneurysm last evening and was helicoptered to york hospital in Pennsylvania for surgery. She is fighting for her life. The only reason I’m writing this is to ask for prayers for someone you never met, but is an amazing and passionate bills fan, like myself. I’m out of options, folks. This truly does fall on faith and hope that she will be healed.
Thank you so much for reading this and I know your prayers will be felt. The Mafia is a family. We might not agree on things all the time, but we all want the same thing. At the end of the day, it’s a sport, but this is real. Please pray for my wife, myself, and our two children. Thank you.
praying for her and your family.
keep us posted, if you can.

I just can’t do it....I don’t like the Ravens, and I REALLY hate the Chefs....not to mention the fact that the Bills should be playing in this game, and I don’t need to be reminded that they are not.
I am definitely watching the NFC Championship and the Superb Owl, but I’m sitting this one out.
Who’s with me??
yeah, I doubt I can watch it. Still too raw.- 1

I read a ton. Some non-fiction. But a lot of foreign-author fiction, and the stuff that usually gets short listed for the major fiction awards (eg, booker award).
I remember years ago there was a similar book thread on here and someone recommended a book. I read it, and it was horrendous. So I don’t trust any of you. 😁

If he was being fired wouldn't we have likely heard by now? To me it would be a surprise. Not saying it was all his fault(like Bass becoming a head case), but overall for the season the ST was an absolute dumpster fire. It's unacceptable. We have enough issues to deal with let alone not being to count on good consistently sound ST. Like Marv used to say, its 1/3 of the team and as important as the O and D.
good thread. He does need to go.This team is so good that all we need to do is play mediocre special teams and not turn the ball over, and we can win 13-plus games. instead, these special teams gaffes always seem to cost us games.

He was coming off a 9 sack season and still available pretty late into FA. I don't expect that to change being a year older now. I'd say there is a chance we see him back on a one or two year deal a bit later in the FA cycle. A 2 year deal with a small pay bump makes sense.
agreed. He is going to get a short term deal from any team.- 1

I guess my point is that we shouldn’t be that quick to retain Brady as OC. The second half of both games was a failure of halftime adjustments and play calling. Let’s at least see if we can do better.
I can’t get behind the “no adjustments” narrative. Isn’t it mostly execution? Josh drops two deep dimes into his receivers hands and they can’t catch them.- 1

Anyone else think this thread was going to be comments about Pat MacAfee by Lombardi?

Bill Belichick 👀
I actually think we will see BB in this type of role somewhere in the NFL.By the way, the bills should understand that this is the absolute best OC opening in the league with Josh as QB. They can have the top pick.
