No... I wasn't "semi awake" I was totally awake with just a "local" and talking to the Dr while looking at the screen watching the scope. One of the marvels of medicine I guess but I never felt a thing other than when the scope contacted the area where the mesh is at. I've had numerous surgeries in my 72 years of life so far and I prefer being knocked out too but I thought being able to watch would be pretty cool when it was offered... and it was.

I was put in “twilight” (not fully out), and the doc said some people will pass out and others— like you— will be fully awake for it and watch it on the screen.

I was then super nervous because I didn’t want to be awake— but in about 5 seconds, I was out for the count.

I’ve had one I’m working on for fitness…. I’ve never been able to do a pull up.  Even when I weighed 140 lbs or could run 5ks in 25-28 minutes.

I pretty much thought I was always helpless here until I started doing 3 sets of 10 pull ups with my feet on the ground…. I’m slowly building my way up to complete one.

But yeah as a kid I was embarrassed more than once how bad I was at them.. so yeah personal goal kinda thing

that is great! Keep at it!

I don’t do pull-ups much anymore because they give me elbow issues. But i will tell you a great machine at the gym is the assisted pull-up one. You can really work your way up from counter-weight assistance to doing them with no help. I feel like most gyms have that machine, if you belong anywhere.

Luckily there is no such thing as a jinx and nothing we say on this board makes the blindest bit of difference.

I still think it's early to be thinking about which musical act would play before an AFCCG but the universe is not going to punish us if we do.

The old reverse jinx attempt. Very shrewd counter measure.

I can't eat anything ice cream related anymore........i left an ice cream sandwich on the counter one time and in the morning, it was still intact, didn't melt.....like i'm talking it wasn't even soft.

That's a huge no for me, but on a side note, i'm lactose intolerant so i may as well lock myself in the washroom for the night if i ever did eat anything ice cream related...........Oh, it's a mess, man.

Posting this here because it may be relevant while Ed is out: after reviewing some All22, there were a significant amount of snaps where Deone Walker/DaQuon Jones were paired with Walker as the 1T.

My only thought on this is that they like Walkers length over the middle of the defense as he’s shown the ability to knock down some balls.

I thought walker was solid last game. He seemed to take on double teams and hold his ground. Thought he did a nice job of clogging up the run game.

They're gonna need to trade for DE if they keep insisting on playing Bosa balls to the wall when we're up 4 scores with 7 minutes left in the game.   I swear McD was put on this earth to quietly sabotage this team from the inside.

How about his "extra hard" week of practice that resulted in Ed's injury and obviously a normal week of practice would have been just fine, the Jets stunk and we blew them out.   Meanwhile McDumb has us in full pads wednesday, more injuries to key players totally unnecessary.

I said this elsewhere, but a guy like Bosa should be off on a short week— like not play this Thursday. Just asking for injuries trying to get these old vets to play a Sunday and then Thursday game.

Andrew Booth, the other CB that people mocked to the Bills, has busted even worse. Happens.

it just feels like of any position, a top-20 CB pick is almost the safest pick. The learning curve isn’t steep for that position either.

But maybe that was back in the old days? I suspect teams draft rawer guys now at that position for whatever reason?

If McDermott and his boys couldn't get Elam sorted out, I don't think anyone can.

It was just a great athlete that couldn't be NFL trained.

The pick hurt this team, unfortunately.

how can you miss so badly on a CB? It’s almost unheard of.

Love Knox but there's really no reason for this not to be his final year with the Bills. Time to move on.

you can get the same production from Knox than you can from any number of 1-year low price contract vets.  Looks like the same will be said with Kincaid. Both guys are solid TEs, not guys you sign to multi-year deals.

edit: eg, Tyler Conklin is on a 1-year/$3 Million deal.

Any "doctor" will tell you that they aren't an x-ray machine. "Diagnosing" something like this just on film is irresponsible. Maybe he's right. Who knows. But it's just speculation. I'll wait to hear McDermott's presser and see.
