The 4th quarter unnecessary roughness penalty on the Steeelers.

Look, im glad the bills won, and any penalty the Bills get in their favor, I feel is great, after 17 years of us seeing other teams benefit from bad calls. But the NFL needs to really evaluate whats considered a late hit on a QB slide. I really dont think he was hit late on that. I think as Allen starts to slide, the defender has pretty much already left his feet. Allen is still sliding as he gets hit, showing how "not late" it was.

What do you guys think? Not just thinking about it from the Bills point of view, but football in general.

Agreed. There should be some “good faith defense” in that situation. The refs should huddle And use their common sense as to whether there was an intent to let up, and how severe the hit is.

Blowout losses in games neither team looked ready to compete. The Eagles were figured out, (and they forgot how to tackle), down the stretch and their new OC was in over his head, much like Ken Dorsey. It seemed on many replays where Hurts was sacked, they had four receivers just running straight down the field. It seemed TB was giving them the middle of the field and they just never adjusted.

Outside of the Bills game, I had the most fun watching the Boys get run over. It was a stunning home loss for that franchise. Will be very interesting to see what Jerry does with McCarthy.

The common denominator is the Bills exposed both those teams, and the league copied a lot of what the Bills did.

This is the first time i’ve seen him successfully reintroduce the spin since before his ACL injury. Prior to yesterday, he was only speed rushing around the edge or getting stonewalled.

This was really nice to see! Should have been his first sack of the season.

I added a slow-mo version if you let the clip play out.

I can’t tell which is real time and which is the slow mo, because that’s about the slowest spin move I have seen.

Was at the game, not sure if they showed this on TV. After Josh ran for the long touchdown he walked from the end zone along the whole bench not stopping or pausing while giving high fives and fist bumps. One could tell he was walking with a purpose so I watched him. He finally got to the far end of the bench, tunnel side. He gave a big hug to a player who has struggled and worked thru a lot this year, Kaiir Elam. A few words were exchanged and I’m sure they were words of encouragement based on the body language. Great leadership moment.

    That is great.

He called out Klein and Elam too in the post-game speech clips from the locker room.

The three you mentioned are the biggest candidates, but...the Elam pick wins it for me.

Not only did it keep 7 off the board for the Steelers, I think it was also a huge confidence builder for Elam. A turning point in his day. He was getting absolutely picked on on that drive, and rather than "throw it whoever Elam's covering" being the edict of the day for the remainder of the game, Kaiir said "I can do this", and acquitted himself reasonably well the rest of the game.

Massive play at a huge moment in the game.

May be a turning point in elam’s career!

I really enjoyed Romo's commentary today. Early he spotted a Bill's defensive coverage sto, really gave Allen his flowers, talked about how Pitt was getting momentum and it was nervous time for Buffalo. His enthusiasm was really good.

The only thing I disagreed with was the Hyde and Poyer comments.

Overall, he did an outstanding job. I kind of get the feeling he's secretly cheering for the Bills.

    Agreed. Called a great game.

I don’t understand the recent criticisms of him. He offers actual x and o analysis— probably the only guy that does so.

  7. There were a number of plays that I think qualify for the “play of the game”— i.e., without it, the game could have gone the other way.

Elam pick, Josh Allen 4th down sneak conversion, Shakir TD, etc.

    what do you got?

Elam. Dude got run over and then abused for a PI the very next play.

That INT to stop them after that deserves recognition for not folding. That cut momentum out real quick. Deflated them if you will.

Elam pick could have been the play of the game.

Allen with the blatant fake slide on the long run, then later draws a 15 yard penalty on a late hit on slide where the defender didn't hit his head.....but can you blame him for going for the tackle based on the fake earlier?

The slide is a play intended to protect the QB, not to do what Allen did.  That was garbage.

i agree that a fake slide is bad form, but he didn’t fake slide. Not even close.

EDIT it must be old Davis has a locker. IDK why they used that pic

this is from 18 hours ago, and seemed sort of definite that he wouldn’t be elevated.

Harbaugh would make the Chargers instantly better, but so many negatives with this job.

    1. ownership is brutal

    2. same division as mahomes/reid, highly unlikely to win division regularly

    3. salary cap situation short-term doesn't seem great

    4. every home game is a neutral site game at best w visiting fans regularly overtaking it

agreed. I think he takes it only because of Herbert. but I don’t see it as more attractive than staying at Michigan.

i also think harbaugh has really morphed into a great college coach. Would be curious to see if he can transition back to more of an NFL style coach.

After seeing what happened against the Jets, Pats****, Broncos, Giants....I will never experience pre-game confidence again.

Then again, I'm a huge loser.

i just hope this isn’t like those games where we seem like we are actively trying to lose.

if we play well and still lose, then I am fine. If we are just dropping balls, and making other unforced errors, then I will be despondent.
