    does anyone else think ESPN ought to stick to what they know [sports programming] and skip the made-for TV movies [Pete Rose, eg], fictional TV series [Playmakers], "reality" shows [Dream Job and that other one I never watch], award shows, magazines, phones, etc. etc. etc?

    Did anyone else watch that game versus Bowling Green last nite? The two halves were like two different games. Toledo could do nothing in the first half, then scored 28 points in the third qtr. to come from behind and win. These smaller school games on ESPN2 have been exciting this year.

    i watched the game also. Peerless was so invisible that the guys calling the game were saying stuff to the effect that "Vick doesn't have the help he needs at wide receiver............. Atlanta doesn't have the deep speed at receiver" etc

    I did a little more research after my original post. Mel Kiper has McCune as a top 5 prospect at inside linebacker, and believes he'll be drafted on day 2. for what it's worth.

    What would you have said if you were a Charger fan last year? Come on.. ---------- great point. if there is any undeniable truth about the current NFL, it's that with the cap and ensuing parity, teams can turn things around quickly. there's no guarantee, but it's possible.

    what "offends" me is that a game that historically has started at 9:00 or shortly thereafter is now starting at about 9:15 so they can include a stupid promotional commercial for a show I'd never watch anyway.

    As I've mentioned before, I'm more into college football this year than years past. I've seen this guy play a couple times and been impressed. He's not the biggest LB at 6-1, but he seems to have a knack for being involved in the action most of the time. What do you guys think of his draft prospects?
