It is pretty obvious that the Bills are looking for a diamond in the rough. Do they honestly believe that a Jason Peters will show up in every other UDFA group? Once the Bills start spending high draft picks on O-linemen instead of running backs, which are much easier to find in UDFAs (Arian Foster, LaGarrette Blount as of late, Fred Jackson way before them), they will start building a team. Drafting scat backs and defensive backs with 1st round picks will never build a good foundation. Spiller was a mistake, Dareus was an excellent pick. We will get a QB this year, whether it's Luck, Barkley or Landry Jones. After that, the Bills should draft nothing but OL, maybe a TE, and quit depending on finding a diamond in the rough. It should not take 4 years to build a team, it takes a good front office.

The Bills FO sat on their a$$e$ while Gaither, McKinnie and Gurode signed. I'm thinking you're a little late with your question. Marc Colombo sat out there a while too after being released by the Cowboys. Right now, I'd say there aren't any. That is why people bash, and rightfully so. By the way, Hangartner was snapped up pretty quickly.

He was rated equal to or below Kyle Callaway in last year's draft. Not expecting much.

when are the first round of roster cuts?
buffaloaggie replied to billsfan182's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
80 players by August 30 and 53 players by September 3. -
Soldiers pretty much make up the Bills roster. This team does not quit, despite the questionable moves by the front office, and the coaching staff. Fred Jackson is 100% warrior, and I would say that of most of this team. The Bills got rid of Maybin and the negativity associated with him. I don't think Evans wanted to be here, though management seems they did little to talk him out of his wanting to leave. This team lacks true talent, and it will still take a while to rectify that. In the meantime, anyone questioning the heart of this team's players is way off base.

What Happened to Mike Flanagan Should Give Us Pause
buffaloaggie replied to Arkady Renko's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Police determined it was more about financial issues that got to Flanagan. Flanagan dead at 59 The only athlete I can think of that could not get over his failures was Donnie Moore. Still, people do become desensitized and everyone's a big talker online, but if they were face to face, it would most likely be a different story. -
Yes, just in time to provide the Bills with some insight against the Jaguars for our preseason game!

Don't forget Kellen Moore either. First game against UGA will tell a lot for him. Please forget Matt Flynn. For a first rounder???

Who is Patrick Moran? Supposedly major news.
buffaloaggie replied to bbb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But the story now has no legs, per the Buffalo News post. Unless Merriman tests positive for anything, we will have to accept his word. Moran looks like a complete fool for rehashing this and making it out to be such a huge dramatic happening at OBD. I suggest we let it die here at TBD. -

@San Jose Bills Fan, I think this story can now fade away. Thanks for posting this DollarBills! -

Figured you, if anyone, would know that. -

I can see why he'd do something to try to drive traffic to his website. If he mentioned to someone having a rough time financially, or happened to put that in a blog, you could put the pieces together. -

Very dumb move on Moran's part. As the poster noted earlier, going on the word of just one source is incredulous. At least TMZ usually posts a police report. I don't think Mr Moran will be sleeping well tonight. -

Just trying to catch up on this...Moran said Merriman caught with steroids, SaviorEdwards says totally untrue. From what I've read about his calls on Clabo and Barnett, I'd go with Savior SaviorEdwards also talked about a major announcement...hope it's dealing with signing a FA O-lineman. Glad this guy is willing to share his info -
Pats put up 21 points on TB in the first quarter tonight. Brady survived with no injuries and 2 TD passes. Scary.

But you have to look at the bigger picture. The city of Buffalo has a more depressed economy than many areas of the country. Therefore, they need to keep what business entities they have here. The Bills generate jobs and helps the Buffalo economy. And it provides a much needed diversion. We all are sick of Ralph trying to milk every penny out of this team by fielding an "inexpensive" product. So I take it you are not a Bills fan, because that seems to be your only out. My out from this purgatory, as bad as it sounds, is Ralph passing on, and the Bills being sold to a passionate and intelligent ownership group. Then, they'll be more aggressive to get some good Offensive lineman.
-
Yes, we know and have commented many times on Ralph's drafting and signings based on marketing more than what it takes to build a good foundation by drafting linemen. Not smart, that's a given. They should being going hard after Stinchcomb, but Nix is battling a reputation that is Ralph...we all know it. Free agents are very resistant in coming to Buffalo, as are good coaches, because of our owner and his terrible front office. I feel sorry for Buddy Nix. He has his hands tied, IMO, by Ralph and co. So Bills fans should not go and lose the team in a move to another city??? Bills fans are loyal and yes they can and do act stupid, as does any team's fans. Everyone is praying that the next owner will have the same passion for the Bills as Pegula does for the Sabres. In the meantime, we need to support the team in spite of bumbling front office moves. For someone who has posted over 4000 times, this is one of the most ignorant posts I've seen.

The official Get 'R Done Thread (OL)
buffaloaggie replied to Billsnutt's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Reading Saints fans reactions, they're not that happy with the move. They said Stinchcomb and his replacement Streif had both been running first team drills, so I see no reason why the Bills shouldn't bring him in. -
WR Buster Davis signs with Bills
buffaloaggie replied to Frostbelt City's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We should just cut all of our WRs and start over since they're flash in the pans, past their prime, injury prone and totally unproven. Fitz has no one to throw to. We should be focusing elsewhere and not on bringing in guys for the San Diego East reunion. -
Vegas set Bills at 5.5 wins for over/under
buffaloaggie replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd go with the over. 6 wins against OAK, CIN, WAS, DAL, TEN, DEN most likely. Add one of the Miami games. -
Marc Colombo is out there...why are we not going after him?

No, some of us just have a low tolerance for stupidity

He did. Those a-holes just like competing for airtime saying stupid ****. NFL Network Hires all the worthless leftovers that the other networks don't want.
