I guess, but come on. You married to Shania Twain, a totally hot, successful star. If you're gonna go out and boink someone else, at least make it worth the risk of ruining your marriage.

Website critique requested...
In-A-Gadda-Levitre replied to udonkey's topic in Off the Wall Archives
the phone number is in the Contact Us section and I totally agree that it's critical to have. Most Search Engines look at the Meta Words in the header and if you do a View | Source you can see that they do a pretty good job of identifying a number of keywords that will cause their page to show up in result list for those types of queries (screenprint, embroidery, etc.). How often those keywords appear on the page is also weighted in the results. Having said all that, the biggest impact you can make with search engines (esp Google) is the link flux - the number of sites that link to yours. That is Google's infamous PageRank. So, ideally you work out "link exchanges" with your partners and affiliates. My biggest complaint about this site is the use of decorated apparel. I'm sure it's an industry term that is well understood by those in the trade, and if it was a B2B site, doing wholesale work for others, it would be appropriate. The problem is that is means nothing to the kinds of customers you are trying to reach - non-promotional apparel companies like sports teams, commercial businesses, fraternities, etc. Change it to something that is intuitively obvious to the kinds of visitors you want to turn into customers. A couple other nits: 2nd paragraph on home page. Rather than bolding your specialties in sentences, use a bulleted list or table, linking to examples of your work. Then use a break like a horizontal line or graphic and list the potential customers like you have in bullets now. Designs page - you repeat the same designs in the T shirt icons as below them in boxes. The message here is that we do custom designs, not look at the cool design we did for 'John Eby'. Talk more about using their logos or designing something that meets their needs in a partnership. Offer some examples, but highlight the design service, not necessarily the previous work. Vector artwork is another bit of technical jargon that means little to a fraternity or sports team. Use pull down menus in the top nav bar. When you click Services, a list should pop open that lets the user navigate right to a specific choice. other than that, it's a good start, nice colors and positive messages. -

Saudis tell Bush to go F himself

good points maybe if we get the heck out of Iraq and stop spending a few hundred billion a year on that money sinkhole, we can begin to get spending undercontrol -
He voted against it because it was a long, complex agreement that he didn't have time to comprehend or understand its ramifications. What he did know was that it smacked of inequality for small market teams. If the other owners pushed back and did their due diligence, they wouldn't be opting out now. They realize that he was right for wanting more time to understand what it really meant. This is not about hindsight 20/20 with Ralph, and more about this doesn't sound good and I don't want it rammed down my throat until I have time to analyze it.

As much as most Americans hate the liberal democratic agenda of bigger government, higher taxes, more social programs, etc. they are more disgusted with the republican hangover of the last 7 odd years. You can blame the congress for some of this, but how could any majority be effective when you have the other party planting IEDs alongside almost every piece of legislation you propose in the name of White House loyalty? If McCain was smarter, he would have distanced himself from the failed Bush policies, but unfortunately, with few exceptions, it's the same agenda. There's just no way in hell Americans will elect the next president who will keep the current mission in Iraq, refuse to negotiate with our enemies, and who will continue to give huge tax breaks to the richest citizens and corporations. I just have this feeling that even though the polls might be close now, just wait a few months and see how Obama wins the election by more than 10%.

Evans offer close to $10 million a year?
In-A-Gadda-Levitre replied to Fingon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LE made statements that he thought JPL got a raw deal at the time and it has nothing whatsoever to do with whether JPL is resigned or where he might end up, or for that matter what kind of contract extension might be offered. Decide not to play after getting a huge contract so he can be reunited with his boy? Are you on drugs? You must think Lee Evans is... Has that ever happened in the history of the NFL? Personally I think it was great that he stood up for JPL at the time. He shows that he's not about to sit on his hands and he stands up and says what he thinks. IMO he wasn't out of line or unprofessional. The Bills FO and coaching staff might have preferred that he didn't say that to the press, but outside of a discussion that they probably with him, warning how his remarks can be taken out of context, there were no repercussions. -
Saudis tell Bush to go F himself

umm, this is not being drilled yet. They don't even know if they can. It's considered technically feasible oil It might turn out to be a great source or perhaps closer to deep sea oil - lots of it, but not economically or technically possible. -
Saudis tell Bush to go F himself
In-A-Gadda-Levitre replied to PastaJoe's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Ok, maybe I misunderstood you. When you inferred the high cost of oil had little to do with Bush, I listed some reasons that either occurred or didn't happen over the duration of his presidency, i.e. medium term. The short term argument was more about what congress and bush are being pressured to do now. None of those things that occurred during his stewardship are applicable to what we could possibly do to affect the price this year. However, getting Saudi Arabia and OPEC to significantly increase production might have lowered the price fairly quickly. You make a pretty good point that this has been going on for some time now, but let's take each of these reasons I listed in context... * The Iraq war and the saber rattling with Iran. Clearly these are 100% to blame with Bush and his cabinet. They have created massive uncertainty about supplies in these countries and driven have up the price of oil. * Our isolationist foreign policy in general, the occupation of Iraq, and other Bush administration decisions, rhetoric, and policies have incensed the Islamic world worse than any time in modern history, escalating terrorism throughout the world and fear of disruption of oil supply in the future. While the Middle East has been a hotbed of unrest for many years, the Bush presidency has thrown gasoline soaked logs on the fire. * Deficit spending has risen exponentially, and other fiscal policies have trampled the value of the dollar. I never thought I'd be saying this about a conservative republican president, but on his watch, even if you discount the cost of Iraq, Bush has signed into law billions of dollars of new spending bills and increased government. Yes, he certainly didn't write most of these, congress did, but he signed them. Only now, after Greenspan chastised him in his book (he should talk...) does Bush push back on major spending appropriations. Other monetary policies pushed (or kept) the value of the dollar down. * Lack of significant reduction in demand. The USA uses more oil per capita than any other country in the world. Bush could have made lowering energy usage a priority during his presidency. He could have pushed legislation that forced better fuel efficiency in newer cars. He could have developed programs to reduce energy usage. Something as simple as mandating controls that shut off lighting in office buildings when there's no people there would have made a difference. He could have pleaded with the American people to carpool, or to buy programmable thermostats or made them available for free for low income families. The point is that reducing our energy use across the country was not part of his presidency to any great degree. * Lack of significant development of better alternative fuels. While we heavily subsidize ethanol (which many argue contributed or even caused the current food crisis), over the last 7.5 yrs, there are few incentives to create new biofuels, more efficient solar cells, better wind turbines, geothermal energy production, or other renewable sources of fuel. He could have made it a priority as opposed to new drilling in ANWR. He didn't and that sends a message to the speculators and OPEC that we are wed to foreign oil for the foreseeable future. Investment in alternatives sends a totally different message. -

In-A-Gadda-Levitre replied to PastaJoe's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The Iraq war, the saber rattling with Iran, the lack of significant reduction in demand, the lack of significant development of alternative fuels, the buildup of terrorism in the middle east due to our foreign policy, huge increases in deficit spending which hurt the value of the dollar, ... yeah, none of that is the fault of the current administration, you're right... -
Saudis tell Bush to go F himself
In-A-Gadda-Levitre replied to PastaJoe's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
LMAO so the congress is threatening and Bush flat out asks, and they're to blame? The congress and the president are under tremendous pressure to do something in the short term. They could decide to drill today in the ANWR and we wouldn't see the effect for years. What exactly would you propose that would affect the price of gas in 2008? -
Saudis tell Bush to go F himself
In-A-Gadda-Levitre replied to PastaJoe's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
umm, the Congress didn't ask the Saudis to increase production, Bush did. The American people consistently oppose more drilling when polled, especially in ANWR. You would hard pressed to find a poll (except one in Florida) that support increased drilling and the bulk of the analysis done by the oil companies (and they're damn good at it) shows the US doesn't have much in the way of light crude reserves and what is available would be quite expensive to extract. The answer isn't to drill our way out of this - we have to conserve more energy and develop cost effective alternative fuels. -

this ESPN article describes another attempt by Belicheat to avoid taking responsibility. Scroll down to the end where they talk about the Boston Herald apology. This is Olympic CYA. how do you go from assuming the camera was rolling when you heard they were setting up to I was told repeatedly it had been taped? -
in WNY, the answer is Wegmans, hands down. I'll admit Tops has invested in it's stores, mostly emulating Wegman's model and they're pretty good, but not in the same class as Wegmans. I also think you almost always pay more at a superstore like Wegmans than you do at a small store with less frills, specialty items and overall choice. Probably because your're paying for all that extra stuff. In New England, Super Stop & Shop is close to Wegmans. Market Basket is yes, like going back in time, but it's way cheaper. Out west, Safeway totally rocks, they're the best grocery store I've ever been in.

no, every non-Bush doesn't get a pass. It actually wasn't Bush's plan until it was sold to him by Cheney, Rummy, Wolfowitz, and others. You have to admit anyone in congress who didn't vote for the invasion at that time had as much chance to stay in the Official Patriotic Club as Osama Bin Laden. -

ya PTR, I was wondering that myself. Frontline did an excellent job explaining the run up to Iraq. Fascinating series, and while it's clearly anti Bush, it's not really all that partisan. -
