can't we just IR Hardy for 2009?
In-A-Gadda-Levitre replied to zazie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
why I bother explaining this stuff to you is a mystery, but chew on this... In 1997, Jerry Rice played 3 1/2 months after his ACL/PCL tear. Unfortunately he fractured his kneecap in his first game back, but the fact is that you have no facts. -

Google acl tear recovery time and you will get page after page of articles that say it's 6-9 months. McGahee had a freak injury that involved tearing his ACL, PCL, and MCL. Not even close... -
Very negative TO article

settled in to his offense means what to you? Does that infer that the OC(s) and other coaching staff, after a great year, they change their offense by design and defocus on TO? Or he simply doesn't perform as good in his 2nd season with his new team(s)? Or is it that opposing defenses figure out how to defend against him after a single season on multiple teams? Ok, maybe in some situations, but TO delivers, year after year, sometimes higher stats than others, and of course he's clearly getting older. The biggest intangible at work here is that TO has been seriously humbled, and he knows his clock is ticking. He likely got zippo other offers to play, and while that might have changed as training camp got nearer, the great TO going to to play for the Buffalo Bills. This is a crusher for someone with his ego, at least the ego we think we know from the media and the games. TO: man, I'm sooo (insert your word for screwed) Rosenhaus: I know it's bad, but hear me out TO: I'm dead and going to hell Rosenhaus: get yourself to B-lo and play for 1 year, $6M guaranteed Rosenhaus: bite dat tongue, even when you wanna puke on someone, just this season - because that's all it will take for these babies to pick up their ball and go home. TO: well, those wussies deserved it! Rosenhaus: Of course they did! Rosenhaus: 1 year, you will get the ball; big yards, lots of TDs - then 1 more big payout before you run that last route TO: ya, I can do this, I can do anything for a year... riding home from the airport courtesy of the Cloud 9 Limo Service... TO: whoa, ain't never had anything like that, maybe this ain't gonna suck! So, while you can quote stats all day, this coming season is an anomaly, and nobody has much of a clue of how it's going to shake out. -

Travis Henry arrested again

he might be moving to Montana soon -
T.O.'s just winging it in Buffalo Jeez, this guy is really laying it on thick. Maybe he doesn't realize that, in every case, TO's trouble started after the 1st year, and just maybe the guy has something to prove this season. But stuff like that doesn't bring the eyeballs to ESPN.com

not sure he was the best, but the in '85 is a classic... too bad the YouTube vid was only a snippet

T.O. taking part in Bills' OTAs regardless of his motivation, he's here...

I can't help but think this is gonna be great for the Bills. Screaming fans will energize TO because he feeds off it. Forget about the key to the city, and start thinking touchdown!

Bills' Weakness: Offensive Tackle most of this article is subjective, but the last line kills me:

probably most of the reason he was cut... -
Levi Jones doubtful to Bills

or perhaps they think they know more than you do about the talent (and potential) of their roster -
Contract Information for Brad Butler IMO, Whitner is a locker room leader and gets good grades by the coaches. Maybe he's overpaid, but that's a consequence of where he was drafted. Brad Butler, as has been stated here, was the best overall OL in 2008 and they want him to play tackle. Seems like it's a promotion to me. Roscoe won't be cut, the Bills were just trying to see if they could pick up another draft choice for him, because they're deep in WR and RP wants more touches on offense. He still could be traded, but I can't see him being released. Kelsay, maybe, but I'm guessing they'll try to redo his contract before they release him.

he's a center, a veteran, and gets pretty good grades from a team that's known for developing good linemen. The Bills sought him out, he wants to play center and it's expected that he'll start there. The chances of putting in a rookie center, regardless of how smart or durable he is, aren't very likely, at least for the first half of the season...

Question Regarding Linda Bodgan

at the risk of turning this into a PPP partisan bake-off, the elimination of the "death tax" is also opposed by the American Institute of CPAs, because it effectively raises the taxes on all but the wealthiest, since it's tied to a measure that eliminates the step-up in basis. -
Nelson’s building block CB talking to Nelson's coaches about his blocking and receiving. Good read...

Donte is listed at 5'10" 208, and Maybin is 6'3" 249 (expected to play at 255), with Bruce at 6'4" 262. Not even close...

Why isn't anyone mentioning...

thanks for the insight JW. What do you think the FO feels about their OT situation? Run with what they got? Possibly bring in a FA to start or something else? -
Round 2, Pick 51: Andy Levitre, OG, Oregon State
In-A-Gadda-Levitre replied to McClane's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
it's interesting that that this mock showed Philly grabbing Levitre. The Bills barely jumped in ahead of them. Then again, they also show Josh Freeman going at #39 to the Jags -
ya, they had a critical need for a legitimate #2 WR, that's the point. selling jerseys, selling season tickets, filling seats, creating buzz - choose your financial outcome...is the secondary benefit, not the primary.
-
nice smokescreen... so, in your view of the world, they signed TO for 1 year to sell seats and merchandise, as well as help them to move the team to Toronto, and they don't desperately need a #2 WR to open up their anemic offense? Which, by scoring points, would jumpstart all of the supposed marketing woes? I don't suppose it occurred to you that just maybe TO would immediately step in and solve their offensive production problems and maybe inject some money into the franchise at the same time? naw
-
you're right... The Bills don't need a legitimate #2 WR to stop double-coverage on Lee Evans, or to keep 8 men out of the box, or to open up the slot, or to add a viable red-zone target. It's all about marketing and selling jerseys. Do you lay awake at night thinking this stuff up?
