  1. Why is investigating him worse?
  2. Great news, Gramps!!
  3. No, you did not ask for a clarification. You told me what me opinion was. Can't see the difference?
  4. Note to self: Don't bother answering Campy's posts. It does not matter what you say. He will just make up what he wants to hear.
  5. You really like putting words in people's mouths, don't you? "Saddam was responsible for 9/11," "KRC doesn't think that DeLay is a scumbag," etc. Maybe, one of these days you will be right. Your track record shows otherwise, but hey, if it makes you feel better.
  6. You would think that with the recent allegations against Democrat Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones, that they would welcome the rules changes since it would help a Democrat who has done the same thing as DeLay (in regards to accepting money from a lobbying group for travel expenses).
  7. ...but...but...but...Delay Bad.
  8. What rules are the problem? What is being watered down?
  9. Republicans are running away? I read on CNN this morning that they are willing to investigate the issues surrounding him. They even held a press conference to announce that they want to investigate him. That seems to contradict your assertions of them wanting to run away.
  10. It just gets me that people bich up a storm about something, but refuse to get up off of their lazy azzes to actually do something about it. If you are that passionate about something, use that energy to get things changed.
  11. Depends. How badly do you want the legislation? If all you want to do is B word, then tough shiit. You get nothing.
  12. Again...if you want something done, get up off your azz and do something about it. Stop bitching and make a difference. If you want legislation, contact your reps and get 'er done.
  13. Details....details...It is much easier to get people to buy into the empty rhetoric if you leave out little details like that. He was only indicted last July, right? I figured by now the news would have reached Washington state, but I guess not. Maybe, we need to wait another few months for the news to reach Seattle.
  14. Pretty good idea. It looks like someone actually paid attention during marketing class.
  15. You stopped at 8!? I am disappointed.
  16. Pansy. Wake me up when you pass a bakers dozen.
  17. Well, you have the power to change things. Contact your representatives and get a bill written. You can sit around and B word, or you can take action. The decision is yours.
  18. Children. Could you take this elsewhere?
  19. Care to explain this to me? McVeigh was a member of the Covenant, Sword and Arm of the Lord (CSA). They are a Christian Identity group. While Christian Identity groups share similar traits to Islamic fundamentalism, you still cannot interchange the two. They both believe that the Jews are the root of all evil and they both believe that their faith is under attack. Still, that does not make CSA an Islamic fundamentalist group.
  20. So, I shouldn't pray at home unless a priest is with me? Yeah, nice lahjik there.
  21. Yes, it is a direct connection to God or yes, it is NOT a direct connection to God? Your answer seems a little vague in this regard. I don't have a problem with groups worshiping together. I go to church and worship. I was addressing a specific point that Clutch made regarding the direct connection to God. I wonder if he is going to address my question?
  22. So, praying at home is not a direct connection to God?
  23. 1775 The American Revolution begins 1861 First Blood in the Civil War 1874 Barracks on Alcatraz Island destroyed in fire 1939 Connecticut finally approves Bill of Rights (148 years late) 1943 Warsaw Ghetto Uprising begins
  24. There may be something to that. They review new guns in some of their magazines. They also are the voice for gun owners, as you mentioned. Whether the issue is political, legislative, or legal in nature, the NRA will get involved if they feel that Second Amendment rights are being trampled. They will also fight for manufacturers to continue to manufacture guns. I imagine they enjoy the increased demand for guns. Increased profits are what all businesses strive for in the marketplace. Of course, it is not their responsibility to follow purchasers around to make sure that they always use the guns responsibly (as the rash of recent lawsuits claim they should). If the guns are leagally sold from the manufacturer to a licensed dealer, then the responsibility of the manufacturer ends.
