  1. You equate cursing with slander? Wow.
  2. ...but that is only in NJ.
  3. Funny, that is what people have been saying when they first wanted to impliment the ban. They said it would have no effect. The ban went into place and shockingly, it made no difference. Now the ban has lapsed and again, no difference. Maybe people will start to focus on the real causes for gun violence, instead of trying to pass feel-good legislation against inanimate objects. Wait...What the hell am I thinking?
  4. So, what you are saying is that you are a hypocrite. You tell people to show up at the tailgate, but when they show up at the tailgate you say that you will not talk to them. Ummm...OK. Way to strengthen your argument.

  7. Fox News Thingy just for nobody
  8. Wendy's is just the company suffering over this paticular incident. It could just as easily have been any other company over any other issue. People get lawsuit happy in an attempt to get something for nothing and everyone else suffers as a result. Increased prices, people losing their jobs, etc.
  9. It looks like they are trying to protect more than just Tubbs: CNN Thingy
  10. The sad part about this is that Wendy's business has obviously dropped as a result. Restaraunts are closing and people are losing their jobs over this. If it was all a fake, may she rot in hell.
  11. Happy Birthday, Mock!!
  12. Blame Tom DeLay for not writing legislation to protect you. It is not like there are 434 other Representatives and 100 Senators who could have done that as well. It is all DeLay's fault.
  13. That is what the referee (SEC) is for. They punish the teams not playing by the rules.
  14. Wait. I thought the role of the government is to protect people from themselves? It removes that pesky "personal responsibility" thingy LABillzFan keeps talking about.
  15. ...and D&B is not just a pool hall. In fact, in the Philly location, the section for pool tables covers about 1-2% of the total square footage of the place. Hell, it is smaller than either of the bars or any of the various food sections.
  16. I know exactly what type of people frequent these places because I have been to both in multiple cities around the country.
  17. Philly's D&B has been around for over a decade. There is also a Jillians. They sell food, sell booze and people use quarters for all games from pool to video auto racing. The place is always packed with people. During the summer, you have to wait just to enter the door. The line to get in goes down the stairs and out the door. Sorry, but your hypothesis is not not holding up to reality in this case. Business is booming.
  18. It doesn't seem to hurt the full size D&B's? Why are they succeeding if your philosophy was correct? In fact, they also have Blackjack at the larger joints. Degenerate gamblers and all would be ruining the place, but they are doing just fine.
  19. I thought that you actually needed to do something meaningful over an extended period of time in order to get a star? They seem to be giving them out like candy these days.
  20. They are not going to go full scale in a city like Buffalo. They will use the smaller versions, which means they need to make decisions on what will generate the most revenue. To put in pool tables, you need to remove something. My guess is that the games bring in more then the pool tables. IIRC, you pay by the game with pool. Well, you can take your time playing and it does not matter how many people play. The cost is the same. With the games, however, you need to pay for each person playing. Plus, you cannot take your time playing. The game dictates the pace, not the player. Seems like a simple business decision to me. You make a good point in your post. Be thankful that they are coming to Buffalo at all. Once they are there, support the place. If they receive enough support, then you can talk to them about expanding to include pool tables.
  21. There are some good bars in the area, too.
  22. The one in Philly is nice. Right on the waterfront. It is great to outside on the deck for drinks and music.
  23. Which do you think would generate more revenue: pool tables or games? They probably do not think the location can support a bigger operation. The fact that they are only taking a portion of the building means that they can expand if the business can sustain it.
  24. What do you suggest they remove in order to fit in the pool tables? Gaming? Dining?
