  1. They see our reactions to the first WTC, embassy bombings, Somalia, USS Cole and they think that by applying the pressure, we will wilt and run away. They see what is happening in our country and how a long, messy war lessens our resolve. They are using that to their advantage. The American public cannot stomach this type of war for too long. That is exactly what they want and they are succeeding. That is why they continue the attacks. They do not see it as "well, if we stop, then the U.S. will leave."
  2. The show wasn't bad. I will give it a chance.
  3. Friggin Bush and his big oil buddies!!
  4. They are making good inroads there. Perfect environment to breed and sustain that type of stuff.
  5. I am afraid you are correct. You will see it start with 2006 and get even worse in 2008. They need to play to the lowest common denominator, not to what is best. Winning the election and keeping poll numbers are of the utmost importance. Doing what is right is secondary. We have seen it before and we will see it again.
  6. Nice job!! You hit in something that seems to be lost on some here. The fact that if we were to pull out now, it is not going to stop attacks against Americans. In fact, it will just make organizations like AQ more powerful. As you mentioned, they "beat" the Russians. If we leave, they "beat" us as well. Two superpowers, two defeats of superpowers. That will do more for recruiting into organizations like AQ than Bush could do by invading Iraq.
  7. They were "disbanded" but not outlawed. The Japanese government thought that they would just disappear. I cannot imagine that they have gone away.
  8. It was more like: 1) He posted as T-Bone, stating that he is leaving. 2) He logs off as T-Bone and immediately logs in as his alias to see the reaction. 3) He stays logged in as his alias throughout the day and into the next day. 4) He realizes that people posted his alias in the thread, exposing his pathetic attempt at sympathy. 5) He deletes the thread, in a failed attempt to not look as pathetic as it appeared (trying to conceal the fact that he never actually left). Basically, typical T-Bone.
  9. They also have been working with VX and botulism. They own a helicopter (Russian, IIRC), so that may be one way they plan on dispersing any agent.
  10. There is no question that they would use it when viable or even remotely close to viable. Aum Shinri Kyo is an example. They developed their own WMD capabilities. When remotely viable, they used it.
  11. ...and how would you know that?
  12. With supporters like this, it is hard to imagine why the left keeps losing elections.
  13. Didn't we talk about this yesterday and basically prove that this is a bunch of crap and that ideas like this only prey on the ill-informed? Linky Thingy
  14. If I count to 144 and say that I counted to 200, do I pass?
  15. The monkey agreed that 1861 was in the 19th century. This disagreement arose with 1861 being 200 years ago.
  16. Who thought that 1861 was not in the 19th century?
  17. I can still count to 200, so I am ahead of others on this board.
  18. Just imagine a whole site of Buckey's and RiO's. Wow, I think I lost 25 IQ points just typing that.
  19. Repeating some of the comments above, if you don't act like an azz, you should be fine. Every time I go to the Bills games at RWS, I am near a couple of opposing fans. The only time I see trouble is when the opposing fans are obnoxious. Be civil and take to ribbing in stride. Show that you can laugh it off and people usually leave you alone.
  20. I was reading some of the comments below the photo. All I have to say is . I guess Romper Room let out early that day.
  21. I think you are on to something here.
  22. You mean, he was for assassination before he was against it?
