  1. Absolutely. Getting the playcall done in the huddle is one less thing (and a really BIG thing) that they don't have to do at the line so they could focus better on the other things.
  2. I respectfully disagree. Lots of these penalties are movement or line-up issues with the young linemen. I'm willing to bet those would be decreased if we huddled up. We certainly aren't giving defenses any problems with it so why do it?
  3. I was not a Guinness drinker at all until I went to Dublin. http://travel.webshots.com/photo/2585111580044479105NbzWJD While it is not as good here, I did acquire a taste for it. I do remember hearing that they have a quality inspection team in Ireland that goes to EVERY pub once a month to make sure the lines are clean and the temperature is right. I was surprised that they kept it as cold as they do.
  4. They better extend halftime if that's the case.
  5. Might not be quite the love-fest that Canton was...
  6. Freaking BRILLIANT! Even gets on Takeo to back off...
  7. And one of the best ever is now their head coach.
  8. I was doing some research on their GM. Last year was his first year as a GM. But he's a football guy. Scout for the mid-90's Packers (won Super Bowl). Director of Scouting for the Seahawks (got to Super Bowl), then VP of Player Personnel for the Niners before being promoted to GM. Gawd... I want THAT too!
  9. Donte Whitner supervises a Dick Jauron-approved rookie hazing of Jairus Byrd
  10. The 49ers were a moribund franchise much like the Bills are now. 1st year GM Scot McLoughan fired Mike Nolan after 3 losing seasons and a 2-6 record last year and replaced him on an interim basis with Singletary, then the Defensive Coordinator. Singletary had the now-famous run in with a lazy Vernon Davis, sending him to the showers rather than putting him on the field without full effort. He dropped trou to get the attention of his team at halftime of his second game. He replaced low-producing veterans with hungry young players. And now the 49ers are 3-1 with a 1 1/2 game lead (including a head-to-head road win) over the defending conference champion Cardinals. That's what I want for my Bills. Who's that next guy? Read this, from his page on 49ers.com: Gawd, I want that... The Niners are my new #2 team.
  11. We have a winner!
  12. Donte Whitner & Jairus Byrd at practice yesterday
  13. Apparently AVP loves it and DJ is somewhat confused about it: http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2009/10/08/n...halt-no-huddle/ DJ says the no huddle has nothing to do with the calls, when you snap the ball, or anything else. It's only about communication - where and how it happens. And oh BTW - it's easier to communicate in the huddle. That's why they don't do it.
  14. watch they hit it just right and it splits in two
  15. My son and I leave Rochester at 10 AM, meaning we cruise by the airport by around 11. Traffic on the Thruway really is not that bad. My advice though is to go past the 219, through the toll booth, then get off the 90 at exit 56 (Milestrip). We turn left onto Milestrip, then cut through the Home Depot/plaza and go right onto McKinley by Wegmans. Then take the first left onto Brompton and left onto Southwestern by ECC. You can get into Lot 3 from there or park any place along there for $10 to $15. Park on the left of Southwestern though so you take all rights out of there. Just reverse it on the way out. 20+ years of experience talking here
  16. Well said. See everyone Sunday with my Bills gear on.
  17. I submit for your approval... Mila Kunis Nutha and one more
  18. Or he killed Losman's Buffalo career...
  19. That's the thing about Cowher or Shanahan - they're both! They won't accept a position where they don't have complete control. One-stop shopping, two birds with one stone, all that. Git R done, Ralph
