Does Kolb's career really need "resurrecting" at this point? The guy just has to stay healthy I think. He lost his job to injury in 2011. Then he took over for Skelton and led the Cards to a 4-1 record until we injured him. He didn't play the rest of the year, and the Cards only won 1 more game.

KC has alot of nice pieces in place but, similar to us, needs a QB. Their D is in a little better shape than ours. Also like us they play in a division with 1 dominant team who is an aging QB away from joining the pack.

It does seem to penalize the coordinators of wild card teams because those with a bye can at least interview this weekend.

They said there was no timetable and that they'd wait til they found the right guy. That's kind of my question - if no hire by then I will assume Wiz, Horton, Lovie, Kelly are not the right guy. I'm not sure of the protocol around actually offering a HC job to a coordinator that's still in the playoffs.

Yeah a further search turned up almost nothing updating the story. One article one one site dated the next day said the DA was not holding the teacher while deciding whether to move forward.

The minus for Ray Horton is that he "is somewhat of an unknown with zero head-coaching experience." Can anybody think of an available previous head coach who wasn't fired? Bill Cowher might be the only one.

Indeed, then this man's death would not have been in vain.

I had my in-laws, who live outside Utica, tape it for me and as soon as I got home from the game I called them and asked that they get me that tape ASAP. They knew somebody driving to Rochester the next day so I met them and picked it up. I did record the ESPN pre & post games shows also. Still have those tapes.
