I am excited to go to this game. I live like 15min away in Alameda. I do expect some harassment for going in Bills gear, but it's not like people are getting killed on the regular in Oak haha Oakland is a fun city to explore, lots of cool stuff.

What are the chances Cutler gets outright cut rather than traded after this season? Got to be a major red flag to anyone who was interested in giving something up for him that his previous franchise saw Jimmy "Done Nothing in the NFL" Clauson as a better option. I feel like someone would claim him on waivers if he got cut but if they didn't I wouldn't be against bringing cutler in on a more manageable contract. Worth seeing if lightning could strike in my opinion.

Any list that has RG3 ahead of Phillip Rivers is DEEPLY flawed... In my opinion that is all that needs to be said.

Random thought, remember the "QB controversy" between Clausen and Cam? It is funny to think that for one offseason that was a thing because people had doubts about Cam's character and Jimmy was drafter the year prior. Crazy how fast things change in the NFL.

I hadn't really considered Moore. He has had some moderate success with probably worse offensive talent. Arguably not much better than Orton but I would at least consider him. I would also be interested in Locker or Bradford if they were free agents. I wouldn't want to trade anything (ok i might consider a 5th or lower). I hear the argument that none of the free agents or trade bait QBs are going to be franchise guys but with our D we don't need a Peyton Manning, Andrew Luck, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, or Drew Brees (though they would be nice) to compete at a high level. We need production in the Alex Smith, Joe Flacco, level or even the Jake Delhomme (when he was pretty good -ok- with the Panthers way back when). That level of production would make us a playoff team and make us capable of making a deep run if the O got hot. Although odds are against it, i see no reason that Bradford or Locker couldn't turn their careers around a little like Alex smith to achieve his level of success. The physical talent is there.

I have lived in LA the majority of my life and I agree as well. LA has so many transplants that will continue to root for their team. Hell, I wouldn't change teams or even really care about the LA team. If a team is going to make it here they will need be the raiders or immediately come in and compete for championships. This is after all a Lakers town, and despite the teams current sucktitude, the fans expect to win championships. That said, if an AFC team moved that would increase my odds of going to a Bills game and that is not a bad thing, so I am in favor of an LA team for my own selfish reasons. (disclaimer I was ALWAYS very against the Bills coming here permanently)

HAHA! What a thread! Clearly they are all bad. Kolb and Young probably had the most success but Vince was a headcase and Kolb had his bell rung one too many times. So the obvious answer is Gibran. For comedy reasons. At least I can't remember any particularly soul crushing moment coming from him, and that HAS to count for something, right?

The real question is why not Gibran Hamdan? He is probably just as good as Jeff Tuel AND since he spent part of his childhood in Kuwait he could expand the fanbase of the Bills! Not to mention he was possibly the best dressed QB the Bills have ever had.

Odds aren't great, but if we were somehow able to do it we would have to be considered legit super-bowl contenders. There is no other way to think about knocking off the 3 top teams in the league in a 4 game stretch.

Just to echo the sentiments here, It was clearly a fumble- you can see his hand curl in to try and bring it closer to his body when he gets hit. It is eerily similar to the Tom Brady Tuck Game ruling. In the broadcast of the game their expert ref said it was a clear fumble. Interesting question. One thing is for certain though, that being called an incomplete pass definitely added to the Johnny Football hype. And if he would have led them to another score after that call? I would have been shocked if another major call had not gone their way to set the stage for the potential superstar (and more importantly cash cow) that is JFF....

There are serious doubt any of the QB's will be available in the offseason.. Eli- hard to give up on a QB who won 2 rings for you even with his horrid play. Wouldn't be shocked if they change coaching staff to try and "fix" him. Jay- what would someone have to pay to get him?? If they want a 1st (or god forbid a 1st plus more) he might stay simply because there isn't a good enough market of teams willing to sacrifice resources). RG3- team gave up A LOT to get him. Maybe they try another year. Again what would it take for value wise for them to give him up? Mallet- he played well last game. Look for him to be brought back to at least compete if that continues at all. Hoyer- has had an up and down year. If he makes the playoffs I think the fans might revolt if they didn't bring him back after that. If not? They could bring him back but if they don't there will be competition for his services. (he will at least be seen as a serviceable backup) Bradford- they benched their Cinderella story QB for Sean Hill. Decent chance they bring Sam back to compete since they don't have anything else. Romo- I see no way he is available. Who would they replace him with in Dallas?? Crazy talk. All that to say, I think the best chances of people being available without the Bills giving up draft picks is Hoyer and Bradford. I wouldn't give up significant value for any of them, so that narrows the choices to those two. Of the two, I would take Sam just because I think he has more talent than Hoyer. Sam is more boom or bust. If he is healthy, maybe he lives up to potential and becomes a very good QB. If not? eh, you picked him up as a free agent. No great loss. Hoyer is just a guy. He isn't bad but i put him in the Sanchez category. On a strong team he can win. But he isn't going to be your strength.

I suppose we are lucky that we are playing a more familiar division foe rather than some NFC club this week. At least the players have already done some hw on the Jets earlier this season.

That begs the question then- when we had the vaunted "wolf pack" O line with Andy in there, was Wood looking good due to those around him? Or has he regressed?

Ya, they are opening holes for Murray and protecting Romo very well. Still not sure what happened to ours. 2-3yrs ago that seemed like a strength we had. Guys like Urbik and Pears were balling out.

Ya they did get close, but they were in a pretty weak division with no clear front runner like the Pats are in ours. Also did anyone think that the Cowboys keeping Garret was a good idea? When they didn't fire him last year I was pretty surprised. I don't think anyone thought "Good move by the Cowboys in keeping Jason Garret, that will pay dividends later".

I was just wondering if there is something to learn about the Cowboys sudden return to prominence? The team has arguably less talent this year than last year (minus Demarcus Ware, Sean Lee etc.) and yet they just went into Seattle and knocked off the defending champions to improve their record to 5-1. The Cowboys seem to be for real, much to my surprise. The question is, does it have to do with the fact that they stuck with Garret through the losing seasons which created a level of consistency? Or is there some other reason for their sudden success? I know that I am personally getting fed up with Marrone (and was never sold on him from the start) but is there an argument to be made for keeping him to maintain some consistency if the Bills don't make the playoffs this year? I don't think he looks any worse that Garret did before this season. Garret arguable had more talent to work with. What say you? Maybe we should have kept Gailey longer? Just thought it was an interesting opinion topic.

The NFL is a lot more interesting if the 9ers win that game. The 9ers being 3-3 lessens the Hawks and 9ers rivalry which is great at snagging viewers and producing big games. Also, everyone knows the rams aren't going anywhere this year.... Not saying, just saying.

Mixed feelings on that. CJ's talent is undeniable but his productivity has been suspect.
