If bills win today and beat Miami next week, they basically have the division locked by week 9 lol -
4 games and then got The bye after which will give him another week. Hopefully can come back December 1st against SF
-
Yep agreed. Even Spags as the DC If Josh had Spags and chiefs had Leslie Frazier/mcdermott calling the defence, I have no doubt in my mind bills win the 13 seconds game against them and the playoff game last year

Per McDermott: Bernard, Dewayne Carter , and Samuel all out -
Ya fair points on Spags during the regular season as he can struggle at times. But in a big game way more often than not, his defence rises. (Including his time in New York) If I had to pick one DC in a "got to have it " game, the answer for me would easily be Spags

People always wanna talk about Andy and Mahomes But The most underrated guy in their dynasty is Spags. Chiefs defence always shows up in the playoffs and he's the main reason this year that they are 6-0

Tua’s Broken Dome (now being placed on IR-out at least 4 games)
BillsFan130 replied to RunTheBall's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ya I think the biggest concern for Tua and miami now is how effective is he going to be? Cause You got to think anytime there's pressure , he's just going to throw it away or just flop down so he doesn't get smoked -
Depends when he comes back. If it's early December, he will Have about 4 games to knock the rust off and i think that would give him enough time to have a good impact when playoffs starts. If he comes back the last few weeks? Then that might not be enough ramp up time

If Brian Daboll gets fired, would you take him as OC?
BillsFan130 replied to Doc's topic in The Stadium Wall
Haha I think we will just agree to disagree buddy as we are both going down a big rabbit hole and we both aren't gonna change each others minds on DJs 2022 season. You think it was bad, I think it was decent. All good For the record- I wouldn't have paid DJ either- I'm just talking from Daboll and the GMs perspective, they didn't have the time/luxury to groom a rookie QB when their jobs are on the line as they needed to produce results this year. So I think ultimately what we are disagreeing in, is if I needed to win this year I would rather DJ and Nabers all day over an unproven let's say JJ McCarthy without Nabers I appreciate the convo with you and I hope you have a good day💪 -

https://youtu.be/eO3-gVnck14?si=h1QDWi6lbg_zhKHA Tua seemed pissed at his press conference ^. You can definitely tell he feels singled out when it comes to missing time with concussions, and seemed annoyed at people telling him to retire. (Can't say I blame him there as it his life at the end of the day) -

I never once said Daniel Jones was Tua, Murray, Herbert or Lawrence. (Lawrence does have a playoff win for the record though) But in 2022 he had a decent year in a contract year which is why he got paid. Why did tyrod never get 40 mil ? Because he was a journeyman on his 2nd team who didn't have as good a year as Daniel Jones in 2022 lol. You're kind of proving my point there . He actually did get a fairly nice contract with the bills mind you, because in 2015 he did play at a reasonable level . (I know bills fans don't want to accept that) -

We will agree to disagree. Mac jones, dalton or mariota have never even won a playoff game and on much better teams. Im Not here to argue that jones is good because he's not But in 2022 I think inarguably he at least had a "average to decent year". 4000 total yards, 22 total TdS, 5 INTs and a playoff game where he threw over 300 yards and got the win. And got rewarded for 40 mil per year contract - if giants weren't gonna pay him, a team would have at least given him 30-35 per year, which would reflect that he had a decent 2022 season . Unless you're in the belief that nfl owners just like throwing 100s of millions of dollars around to players coming off "bad " seasons -

He had 15 TDs, 5 INTs with a 93 passer rating and added 708 yards and 7 rushing TDS in 2022. And in their playoff win he went 24/35 for 301 and 2 TDs. Lets not pretend like those aren't reasonable numbers for a starting NFL QB in a season. (Which led to his contract) -
Daboll to me was way better than Dorsey and Joe Brady. Did he have some head scratching calls on 3rd and shorts that was frustrating? For sure just like any coach. But I think his game planning was extremely good and he was the only coach the bills have had who consistently would give belichick and Spags problems

I agree that Jones sucks but at the end of the day in 2022 he played well down the stretch and they won a playoff game. He was rewarded with his big contract after that He only played a few games in 2023 before tearing his ACL. So it was either "go all in with an unproven rookie" to save their jobs. Or go to the bigger sample size in 2022 from DJ compared to 2023 , and draft an elite WR prospect to help him out. If I'm trying to save my job, it's a no brainer decision -

If someone had a gun to your head and you had to win this year: Would you rather an unproven rookie with a fairly low ceiling in JJ McCarthy, or DJ and Nabers? Before the season being the key words. It should be a pretty easy answer -

https://www.nj.com/sports/2024/10/were-jets-aaron-rodgers-joe-douglas-involved-in-robert-saleh-firing-woody-johnson-explains.html?outputType=amp There's no point of us going back and forth- This is what happened with the jets situation ^ and woody Johnson making the call It wouldn't make any sense for Daboll /Schein to draft a QB at 6. They both are on the hot seats and they need To win right now and they aren't gonna be given 2-3 years to groom a rookie Nabers/Jones obviously gives them a better chance to win now compared to let's say JJ McCarthy if they drafted him with no Nabers
