  1. Yes http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11928065/ryan-mallett-houston-texans-played-right-pectoral-injury-vs-cincinnati-bengals Mallett still doesn't have a whole portfolio of work, but that game was particularly bad due to injury. At this point he is worth the low draft choice the Texans paid.
  2. ^And lets keep an eye on John Brown too. Working wonders in AZ.
  3. He was playing with a torn pectoral muscle the whole game. He looked better against the Browns.
  4. I agree with you. Cleveland has a more well-rounded offense with explosive potential to boot. KC couldn't run on us except for two critical plays where Manny Lawson broke contain resulting in TDs. Miami did a better job running on us, which surprised me. We have been really good against the run this year.
  5. Right, we game plan with Goodwin who then gets hurt returning the opening kickoff. Can't keep having that happen. It's unfortunate that we whiffed on two guys for that role in Graham and Goodwin. One for lack of ability, one for lack of health. No doubt.
  6. I hope Geno and the Jets have some pride left in them. A division loss for Miami would be greatly appreciated.
  7. But that's something he usually does very well. This is a bad game for him, no doubt, but I refuse to believe that he is the main culprit here.
  8. I don't think the Niners' offensive struggles would be fixed with Alex Smith. Their problems have been largely due to OL regression and I think Greg Roman's offense is starting to look a lot like Hackett's.
  9. Niners offense looks real bad. Collinsworth makes a good note that the one thing that worked well against Seattle in the championship game was the designed runs for Kap. They are trying really hard to make him a pocket passer this year and it's not working all that well. Some of that is the fault of the O-line, but something is definitely amiss with their offense right now.
  10. We learned from the Super Bowl that Peyton can be beat by a good defense - personnel and gameplan. If Schwartz can get a little creative we stand a chance.
  11. 49ers O-Line has been seriously underperforming this year. Not a great INT there. Can't tell if that one is on Lloyd or Kap. Moeaki still not injured!
  12. Seattle hasn't been quite as good this year, but still, valid question. They look bad. Still think they are in a good position to take a wild card.
  13. Root for Cincinnati to win. They already lead AFCN and I say just give it to them. They still play Pittsburgh twice and a couple wins could knock them out in the process. Baltimore has an easy schedule, san Diego's is hard. Part of me says San Diego win because of that, but I also think if Baltimore is going to win a bunch anyway, they might as well win out and drive san Diego down now. They can't tie with us.
  14. Agreed. The season is already lost and it's not like Colt McCoy is some secret star waiting for his breakout. Or is he?
  15. Just looking for some sort of scenario that gets us in without an overwhelming about of help from the other games. I believe if our defense plays lights out like yesterday we have a fighting chance, but I know it's not the likeliest outcome (I did say I'm just messing around and having fun!).
  16. Playoff machine is fun, but at this point it's just messing around and having fun. I have us getting to 10-6 and missing out because the AFCN does beat itself up. I think we Cincy to beat whoever they can. They play Pittsburgh twice and can effectively knock them out with two wins. As long as we beat Cleveland, Cincinnanti can lose to them and it won't make much of a difference to us. The Phins still have three division games left and a current 2-1 record. They need to lose at least two of those games to ensure that we, at worst, tie with them in division record. That being said, I see them going 9-7, with loses to NE and Baltimore. 9-7 isn't getting you in without serious help. So if they go 9-7, we go 10-6 and it doesn't matter what their division record is anyway.
  17. Absolutely. Also wanna throw a shout out to Duke Williams who seems to be getting better each week. Great INT today, love the way he hits too.
