  1. Because there is no recent history of them doing many things right at all. People who are critical of the Bills are critical for a reason. Why don't the apologists get this???
  2. I find nothing wrong in all the OP's points. Funny how the one's saying he is wrong can't constructively counter those points.
  3. I don't think that's the kind of action he wants to see. He's talking about filling some holes to give the fan base something to feel good about. Not: 1. signed a Guard.....not just any guard, but the one and only Mansfield Wrotto. 2. Cut a QB....not just any QB....the starting QB who got the most snaps in camp and worked with the 1st team the most.....yeah, great move, but a little late, and we NOTHING for him. 3. Reaquired a QB: One that should have been on the practice squad along with another guy who wasn't retained on the PS, Joique Bell....hey, but we reacquired him. 4. Traded Lynch and got two draft picks......a 4th and a conditional in two years.....that's a real score there. BTW, wasn't he a 1st rounder? And the QB we cut was a 3rd rounder.....and we got nothing for him......wow, those investments are really paying off! 5. Parted ways with Mitchell??? Like he was a problem and finally he's outta here? The guy asked for a settlement. The FO did nothing to facilitate this move....this is hardly action. 6. Waived Meredith and activated a guy off PS................really? This is the same guy listed above under "signed a Guard".....Wrotto......moving his way up the ladder in a hurry! I'm so excited! 7. Brought in Anderson....a guy we had before, who wasn't good enough before. Yeah....a lot of action there......and it's building for the future and scaring our division foes something awful.
  4. Mediocre? Why does everyone keep using that term to describe the Bills? I would be happy with a mediocre team. This team is 0-4!!! That's not even close to mediocre!! I do agree with you and have been saying the same thing for the last 4 years.......STOP PAYING FOR CRAP. don't spend on SEASON TIX, EXPENSIVE JERSEYS (horrible ones at that), and ANYTHING WITH A BILLS LOGO ON IT. You send the message of $ to Ralph. To him it's ok to keep things going just the way they are. No need to field a winner when he has steady cash coming in from the faithful. I use this analogy......if Mars started making your favorite candy bar, Snickers, with human sh**, and they did nothing to mask the taste or smell,......would you continue to buy it? Bon Apetite, Ralf Wilson apologists
  5. I gotta agree with this guy right here. I don't see it as "freaking out" and if it is, it's not unjust. The fan that expects his team to get a win 4 games into the season doesn't want to hear reasons like "they were outmatched against playoff bound teams". That means nothing. On any given Sunday, any team can whip the snot out of another team....or edge them, or get a mild upset. Something. But the truth here is, this team's managemnent has sent them to gun fights with spitballs. If we want that victory, our boys gotta go after Goliath with a slingshot, not a cotton ball. Look at this team's entire history as well. The pissed off fan (unjustly labeled on this forum as shortsighted, or fair weather, or "not a real fan") is not just freaking out about a 0-4 start. This is years of frustration erupting. 0-4.....ironic that that number is in our face again. The anger is just. The expectations are just. We want results, and this FO has shown us nothing different than the last 10 years. Frugal spending on FA's, coaches, and players they helped develop along the way? Seems like a constant. Overpaying sub-par players? Constant. Letting go of guys like Richie Incognito (don't we need guys like this on the O-line, our weakest link????). Getting robbed blind in trades? Name one we made out on! Not addressing obvious needs with the first couple pick? Constant! Rising ticket prices for crappy product? Constant! I don't blame Nix or Gaily for Brandon and Modrak's failures. I blame them for doing the same things that the other 3 coaches/2 GM's have done. There is one common denominator to the suckiness of this team. Ralph. So maybe Chan and Buddy are going to find out, no matter how much they try to do, Mr. Burns isn't going to let them do what they need to do. There are fans like myself who are getting a little too old to be told to be patient. This team may not be here or we may not be here before the winning starts. These are very real possibilities. Spare me the "fair weather fan" label. I have spent years being let down by this team. I also got rewarded for sticking it out on occasion. Sitting through freezing rain and witnessing the Comeback. weathering the 0 for 70's and then watching us skull f*** the Fins in the 90's. Good times. But few and far between. Even when we were really good, we couldn't win the big one! Take away those SB years and you have a pretty sorry history for a ball club. Yet still the fans are there. The "real fan" deserves better. And that is what is bubbling to the surface here.....not some knee-jerk reaction.
  6. nothing wrong with the prediction. Last year wk 5.....remember that home game? We lost that game to a crappy Browns team. The total points in that game was 9. So why is it that a guy who predicts we'll score more points (with a worse, rebuilding team no less)knows nothing about football? Maybe he doesn't, but that still doesn't make it an uneducated prediction. Cleveland's startin QB went 2 for 17, 23 yards total! Guess what? We still lost! At the time T.O. had a season high 40 some yards.....and he was hapy to get that. Also, isn't a prediction someone's reasoned forecast? How is it asinine? Especially if the guy "knows nothing about football"? Shouldn't he get credit for just a prediction?
  7. Who's to blame? The fans.....maybe not a few years ago, but now, for sure it's the Fans. And I'm specifically pointing at the one's who shell out for season tix and merchandise year after miserable year. I don't spend a cent on this sh*tty team, and I haven't since late 90's. You wouldn't continue to buy Snicker bars if they started making them with real human or dog sh** would you??? So stop paying for crap. Want to make a statement to Ralf and the FO? Hit them where it counts....the pocket book. I think the fans should start a strike next week. Just don't go to the game! How great a message would that be? Think about it....
  8. why do fans continue to shell out for inflated season ticket prices year after year with crap on sundays to show for it???? You want to make a statement, stop giving Ralf the money.
  9. This is it. I was packing my bags while you were out there getting it from all directions on that wet, nasty bed we used to call ours. I figured it was the best time to do it, because I knew you'd come home drunk and stinky after that disgusting display of disrespect for me. Although my eyes are both puffy and blackened, I am starting to already feel a huge weight lifting off of me. I thought I loved you, but I now know that that love has been a mirage for quite some time. I should have done this sooner, but at least I can say I gave it my best. When I close the door behind me, I'll know you'll never be able to put your meat hooks on me again. You've given me no reason to believe in you again. Yet I was always there for you.....defending you to those who laughed at you and called you a loser. I listened to all those empty promises every April, only to be let down by October. Why was I with you in the first place? Because I was born and raised in your neighborhood???!!! How silly is that? I felt like I had to stick by you.......like I was obligated to or something. Yes we had some great times over the years......dancing well into the final elimination round 4 years in a row once, but never winning it all.....because you fell over all drunk and sloppy when it really counted. I stuck by you. Then you did it to me again in Miami. Then again, in Nashville. And still, I stuck by your side.....for years. You used to atleast dress nice. Now you continue to wear that hideous, obscene outfit regardless of everyone laughing at you. You must like seeing me embarrassed. Ironic, today you wore that suit that I really liked, but the real you showed that it's not about the clothes at all. The shiny wrapper is only there to tempt, but the candy bar inside is hard, dry and stale. Where will I go? Not sure. But I can tell you this, there are some real nice candidates out there that would welcome me in and treat me with respect. They'd at least try. Unlike you. You treated me (and everyone else who ever stood by you) like a toilet. Sometimes, you never even bothered to flush. I hear about this one and that one, and even some that came from lower places than you, and are starting to show signs of promise. I may start seeing that one in Philly. I lived there for a while as well, and I know the history there pretty well. Enough to trust them. I could go to Indiana and reunite with our old friends who took us to fun and exciting places only to have you ruin it all. Hey, but at least they got us there. But going with them would be too obvious. I don't know. Maybe I will just play the field for a while. Enjoy the many that are out there.....yes.....today, after I packed and you were still out there shaming yourself, I visited a few of the others. They were all looking very distinguished and they tried and they showed how they invested in things for positive change......unlike you. I know some will say don't let the door hit my a** on the way out, but I don't care what they think. I feel sorry for them as well. They will suffer more, and me, well, mine will be over. Maybe if they stopped supporting you like they did today....showing up in the usual numbers only to be let down like all the other times. I would say I wish you well, which I do, but I think you may fade away before you ever clean up your act. So long. It was more painful than it was ever fun. I'm putting an end to that. Bye.
  10. This is one of the funniest replies I have ever seen....."his buddy".....damn, that's some funny a** sh*t
  11. I agree with you Vegas. For THIS team, at that point in time, you GO FOR IT! There is no way a FG was going to awe the Pats.......as you can see, they came right back and scored 3 of their own.....this D was not stopping them, so why would you think they would hold the home team down in crunch time before the half....with plenty of time for that team to do exactly what they did. You go for it. Extend your possession, maybe get a TD and take that momentum into the locker room. I know many will say "take the points", but this team needed to start creating a tough identity in this game, right then, no question. Instead, we did what we usually do when we are still competing in a close game with the Pats... we give our "good fight". Not good enough.
  12. not bad.....but I noticed that my recent posts from yesterday are gone. Why is that?
  13. Trust me there is no love here for the Jets. But when someone says "that really gets on my nerves"...why? Because they went to the AFC Championship game and we didn't? Who cares what the guy is saying? I'm a Football fan first, who happens to be a Bills fan. I also laughed when people would get all bent out of shape about TO, until he came here. it just cracks me up when people get so worked up about a guy they never met. Let it go.....you can be a Bills Fan and still not get offended when a division rival does or says something. If a Jets player/coach insults a Bills player/coach/fans, then I might understand that. But this comment he made.....so freaking what? Yes, people should lighten up. How about getting excited about game day x2 vs the Jets? Not about what their coach says when he is stuffing his face. It reminds me of people that convince themselves that they actually care about what Lindsay Lohan smokes/drinks/eat/says/wears.
  14. Not sure if there's something wrong with my laptop, I have hit refresh, and i'm telling you, the latest is "Night Practice" posted 8/2
  15. It's refreshing to see and hear a coach like Rex Ryan. I don't know much about the guy, nor am I a big fan (obviously not a Jets fan), but he pulled out a great season last year by his team. I like that he doesn't conform to the "Coaching Etiquette and Standards" that a lot of people think he needs to. I really enjoy seeing people get so worked up about cocky confident comments. What's the big deal? Lighten up people.
  16. sorry, but there are no 8/4 photos http://www.buffalobills.com/media-lounge/p...-galleries.html
  17. Relax.....i said they would be tougher, not that they won't get injured. Also, a lot of training camp injuries happen away from contact (knees, ankles, turf toe, etc). Realize also that the pads help protect as well. Drafting smaller players "most likely" the reason for all the injuries? Eric Wood, Leodis McKelvin, Brad Butler, K. Mitchell (FA), Poz, Hardy, Schouman, Bryan Scott (FA).....these guys aren't exactly known as small for their respective positions.
  18. Wang got injured in shorts too.....and Batten......so what? What does anyone know about him? Not like we are missing a starter now. People get injured in practice.....that's two rookies. Our other players are coming back from injuries they had last year. I don't see the need for worry. The strong or extremely fortunate will survive. These players will be tougher because of these practices. Wasn't like taking it easy on them in Dick's Day Spa kept them from landing on IR.
  19. I concur. Mike's had my eye for a couple years now. Mike, you STOMP Chris Brown and any Buffalo beat writer out there. You seriously should be getting paid for what you do. I am going to start reading Bills Zone a lot more, especially during the season to read your reports. I`m sitting outside at the Rouge Brew Pub in Portland reading your report. Thanks again for bringing Rochester Training Camp to me as I miss my local coverage of all things Bills.
  20. Mike, as has been the case for the past few years, I come on specifically looking for your practice notes. Keep it up bud! Yes I'm an out-of-toner who appreciates your inside view. I get pumped by this!
  21. best one's ever for sure....even better with the grey face masks. White Helmets! Yes. White = Snow.....I'm looking at you, Miami.
  22. I wasn't upset at the pick at all. There's no denying, Spiller is a very worthy pick, probably the best pick on the board at that time. So, just curious, who were you (and your friends) hoping they would select?
