  1. Best case scenario, half a season, IMO. Worst case, full season. But he can dream. And since the last post, Cousins breaks out and strings a few good throws together.
  2. Indeed BTW, what am I missing here. (I know, half a brain, etc).. Why are the Browns giving Gordon the reps that could be used for someone who will actually play to start the year? Tough break for Hoyer.
  3. Johnny made a nice pass in the endzone with excellent pass blocking. But two of his throws Including one after the end zone completion, were so bad had EJ thrown them he would have been ripped to death here. I'm not basing Johnny here, He is young, It's preseason. But so far in preseason he's made some good plays, and some bad plays, Some good decisions and a few bad ones. Exactly what you would expect. BTW this flipping of qbs seems ridiculous even in preseason.
  4. Or "glass full of stupid". Have you not been paying attention?
  5. Excellent coach now? Missed the playoffs three straight years. If he goes four in a row is he still an "excellent" head coach? This guy coaches in NYC where it is easy to recruit players and has a supportive owner not shy about spending money. Bills rookie coach has one losing season and is a bum, though. Sheesh.
  6. I like perverse, smutty and inappropriate humor! Profane and blasphemous too. What I'm not fan of, however, is paying to see a performer who is too high to perform at a reasonable level.
  7. Think of how quiet it will be around here? Just kidding. I'm thinking early September, but I am willing to be very wrong.
  8. I suppose but Kelly's supposed list of demands seemed like he was in this to get something--not be a litmus test. But perhaps they could have been working at cross purposes. Well I believe that's the most important place for ethics to hand out. But it's one of the last places I would go looking for it.
  9. So he should be saying "if the Bills suck, as I expect they will" Marrone will be fired. That wasn't his point though, And I see you are keeping your expectations as low as always.
  10. My first thought when I heard the JBJ/Kelly meeting was JBJ was looking to link up with Kelly/Gundlach as an alternative to his TO partners. Kryk now suggests that may be the case, as well with the TO group fracturing. Graham has never suggested that possibility. The news that this was orchestrated by Morgan Stanley makes bringing Kelly to the full TO group more likely, I think. Make the TO bid more palatable. Of course, once the discussion began, any sort of combination could have been discussed. "You won't join us? Well maybe I can get the TO guys to let me go on my own as we have no chance, because of them." All speculation of course, as none of the reporters, or their sources, attended that meeting. I have stayed away from criticizing Morgan Stanley, or The Trust. But the very idea of them suggesting the TO group go to Kelly (not Gundlach and Kelly as I understand it) to simply make the TO more bid politically palatable, and make no difference to the amount bid, seems sleazy. I believe their job is (or should be) to solicit legit bids and do their best to get the selling price as high as possible, while respecting the wishes of The Trust regarding relocation. Their inability to solicit more bids may have made them a bit desperate. But shining up a turd to make it seem less---well---turdish doesn't seem like a legit move on their part. Now if course the Bills will likely sell for a very high price, and everyone will be happy and Morgan Stanley will get their money and add the sale to their "success" stories. But that's the kind of move that might disturb some future clients, if they have any ethics. Oh, wait, we're taking billion dollar deals here. Forget I mentioned ethics.
  11. If Aaron Murray became available, I might be interested.
  12. Bonafide good DC. Not a bonafide good HC. New contract doesn't guarantee keeping a job
  13. You are right, it is a very good thing he is doing. But having a bit of fun doesn't make these guys "losers". (I think some of them are, though. )
  14. My first thought when I read the headline. Too easy.
  15. Agreed. Big, Fat (OK, he lost weight), Stupid (still stupid) Rex Ryan has to be high on that list. He's made some pretty bold predictions that he has been unable to back up.
  16. Well if Florio said it, it must be true. New ownership always fires the HC.....except for when they don't. Move along, nothing to see here.
  17. Not in defense of Milstein really, but I have some inside into on the Niagara Falls situation. The city is as big (probably bigger) obstacle as Milstein. The city has turned down several development ideas brought to them by Milstein. One thing is for sure, Milstein won't be pressured into doing something for the sake of doing it. He can sit on that land, and will, while he waits for the city to be more cooperative. I know Paladino sat on the United Office Bldg project before finally doing something with it. I'm not pointing blame in either of these situations---there is enough to go around for everyone involved, But let's just say, doing business with Niagara Falls isn't easy,
  18. So he suffered from the Bon Jovi disease---well one of them, anyway.
  19. Do we know the reason Milstein was turned down, Kirby?
  20. It's kind of a catch 22 for these guys way down the depth chart. You need reps to get good. You don't get more reps if you show nothing. Makes it very hard to breakthrough, especially if you are rusty, inexperienced, etc.
  21. Yes, I liked to that in an earlier post.
  22. Good of the "legal expert" to chime in and state the obvious. Though I don't believe the fans demonstrating support during the sales process has any impact on the decision of The Trust. Their guidelines were set much earlier. But it's still good to see.
