I KNEW it!

Many things, with varying success. A drink and a cigar, preferably while in a peaceful setting is usually enough. As mentioned cooking tends to work well for me--but then the clean up gets me stressed again! When I worked for a company, in an office, I would blow bubbles (no, bubbles is not the name of a co-worker) and/or play with wind-up toys. Now I typically stretch out my arms and say "Ommmmm. Ohmmmm. Nam Myoho Renge Kyo" The resulting laughter with the client typically is enough to get back on track--at least temporarily.

Brawl and apparent death threat at camp today

I can. That's one difference between us. I have seen situation where people have misinterpreted comments. Many of them. I've also been in situations where people used an opportunity to feign misunderstanding to make a point. If the Hughes quote is accurate. And he said it while laughing, there is very good chance that could have happened. But you are right about one thing. We won't know if they are better this year until they start to play the games. -
Who in their right mind thought the Bills would sell for $2 Billion?

I read that. I stand by my earlier comment. It's possible Marrone may have heard it as a complaint when it was not. I'm more certain he used it as an opportunity to exercise a little discipline at a time he thought the team needed it. You may find this hard to believe, but I've been on the end of that sort of thing before. As a "yapper" I risked the danger of having something misinterpreted (purposefully or not) by the boss at the wrong time, in order to make a point. It happened more than once. I really believe there is nothing to see here--other than the team, and coach, getting testy. Several other teams seem to be exhibiting the same sort of behavior. We aren't used to it, as Bills camps have tended to be a bit softer (on purpose). This is a new philosophy for some. -
Trade idea: Chris Hogan for Christian Ponder

For sure, But you can find someone willing to take a shot if the player has elite speed. -
It's Potrero Hill, which isn't a terrible neighborhood. That was one of the hotter places to live a few years back. Especially for the young techies. I looked at an apt there but opted not to rent it. But the prices are really getting out of control, you got that right. I moved and figured I would be back. I'm no longer sure that's possible--for a number of reasons, but cost of living is a biggee. I rent, but the prices affect homeowners and renters alike. Since I have a buddy who owns apt buildings, and since I have rented with him in the past (a very good experience for both of us) he would cut likely me a small break. Not sure if that's enough for me to afford to go back, though. I miss that city every day.

Sometimes a different team/scheme, a new head/position coach can do wonders. These guys aren't without some talent. Sometimes they need a fresh start. -
Brawl and apparent death threat at camp today

Agreed, Now I think Marrone might have glared at him (and gave him a talking to) for making light of the fighting. Marrone is very serious about these guys keeping their composure. The quip about the "21 straight days..." and the laughing at the fight might just have rubbed the coach the wrong way. But I don't get the idea that Hughes was whining. -

It's possible he said both. I'm sure many these guys are bear their breaking point. This has been a tougher camp than most of these guys are used to. (Good! ) But we jump on guys based on reported, out of context snippets of conversation too much. He may have said something, and they said it again, in a different tone of voice. Point being, if he said it laughing (as the quote on PFT reports) or as a gripe (as the early reports indicated) it seems he was far from whining about it (as many here interpreted). Seems to be he was just saying what he thought, and what seems apparent. These guys are sick of hitting each other,. They need to go hit some other people, when it counts. -

I doubt there is much of a market for him. But he showed some real potential as a returner this preseason. He has a ton of speed and some football people are obsessed with that. I'm not saying you could get much (especially if it is a foregone conclusion he will be cut) but he may not completely be without value. -

That is the quote. He was laughing when he said it on the field. He wasn't complaining. -

Without question, IMO. -
Same info he reported last week (I think),. No Golisano bid numbers (he's the 4th). Like everyone else, he is guessing. And he seems to have a grudge against Morgan Stanley..

You mean this quote? “Twenty-one days in pads and counting!” Hughes yelled. “I love it! That’s what happens, baby!” http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/08/20/marrone-thinks-training-camp-fights-hurt-games-integrity/ -
That's what they are saying. Need to get them on the agenda, and have them properly vetted.

Good to know. Is it a torch lighter? Since I always almost check a bag (and since I can't smoke a cigar in most any airport) I'll probably just continue to check my cigars and lighter. But it's good to know.

Basically, the Bills can't break the lease until the windows in 2019-2020. There is a penalty of $20 or so should they exercise the out. That's the ONLY out in the contract. Should the Bills try to leave early they would be attempting to break a contract. There is a negotiated minimum penalty both parties have agreed to, $400 million, should that attempt be made. It's not an out. They still would have to sue the county (or the county sue them). This would take a lot of time--years, perhaps. The contract would almost certainly be upheld in court. In the very unlikely event the court allows the team to move (and when would that decision come?) they can make the team pay any penalty they like---possibly more than the $400. So the $400 isn't a "pay it and move" thing, It's a pay it, go to court (in Erie County, I think), fight the contract---all knowing you are paying that $400 million if/when you lose in court.

There was no "point" to your post...or any of your posts saying [paraphrasing] "Just sell it to Pegula. Get it over with. I'm tired of waiting." You sound like a spoiled child. That time I meant to be a dick, but you asked for it. I think at this point in the process it becomes a stunt and shows bad faith. It may also decrease the final price, as we have no idea what the final bids might be. Once those bids are in, then they can (and probably will, IMO) start negotiating with one party.

One reason against bringing in a veteran QB at this stage (any veteran) is they have missed virtually all of camp. I recall this team trying to bring in experienced QBs at the last minute and then never getting them up to speed enough to play. They were inactive week after week, if not cut after a few weeks. -
Ozanian seems out of touch and behind the most recent updates in this article. No mention is made of Golisano's bid, for one. For some reason this guy is doing a hatchet job on Morgan Stanley. He blames them for conditions that come from The Trust. And, he seems to hang on to the idea the Toronto group has a legitimate chance of buying the Bills. That ship sailed quite a while ago. The $400 million isn't a fine that gets paid should the Bills owner decide to break the lease. You should know that by now. Even the most clueless reporters have finally caught on to that. Have you noticed that option basically never gets mentioned anymore?
