  1. Now that would be funny. And no, English is not my first language. Body language is.
  2. Fantastic. Let's hope that biopsy comes back negative, too.
  3. Ditka's a moron possibly suffering from dementia. This is just further proof. And yes, this is a PPP thread.
  4. For years, when everyone in the league lived in the same area, we did the same thing---at a member's house. I concur it was a ton of fun. Now we live all over the country, So we do it online (fleaflicker) which has a rudimentary chat function, and sometimes we do a conference call. I can sit on my patio and smoke cigars, and drink, and it's almost as much fun as having everyone there.
  5. Ultimately the new owner will decide along with state, county and local politicians. I can buy The Trust making sure the team is in good hands, and has a plan to keep the team here beyond the current lease. Anything more seems to me to come close to blatant influence peddling. They can't sell something they do not own. She cannot sell to someone who would knowingly move the team BEFORE the end of the lease. That clause only protects the county until the end of the lease. We're told The Trust is making sure the new owner has plans to keep the team here beyond that. .
  6. Yes, but they aren't the only members and the group doesn't have final say over a plan, to they? Aren't they advisory at best?
  7. I'm sorry if I"m obtuse on this, I just don't understand when you way, "it was part of the lease or part of the trust" What exactly?
  8. Yes I guess. I don't doubt The Trust is asking about their plans for a stadium. But as long as they have a plan, that is decent and doable, I think that's really all The Trust can do at this point. The Wilson Trust has already done more than they have to, by requiring the new owner keep the team in WNY, and for that I thank them for that. Asking them to get involved with the stadium plan (assuming all the bidders have some sort of plan) is way more than they should have to consider, IMO.
  9. If Peyton was our QB, we'd still have posters saying we should sign Tebow!
  10. You go back to the main desk and check your bag, I guess. I forgot I had a knife once (and cigar lighters a couple of times) and simply abandoned them. Hell it was my fault, I knew you couldn't bring them on, I simply forgot they were in the bag Seriously. Forgetting is one thing. Trying to "smuggle" water is stupid. All you do is hold up the line.
  11. My point is, The Trust has no say in this. They won't be a party to the stadium deal. I think the only way a stadium comes into play, as Kirby alludes to, is to make sure the owner is committed to WNY. The Trust is a private entity. Any stadium plan will have to go through a political process that will happen well after the sale. I believe Cuomo has and will talk to the bidders, but that isn't part of the bid, other than insuring the Bills are in good hands with a committed owner. Correct me if I have this wrong, but The Trust isn't selling a stadium, they are selling a team. And Cuomo isn't part of the trust. So at best they might like to know who has a good plan, but the stadium issue is something that will take longer than the next couple of months to resolve.
  12. Linda Lovelace?
  13. I can't agree with the bolded part. But I've only eaten in a Hooters a couple times, because the food was so bad. Does your Hooters serve alcohol or just beer and wine? The old Hooters in St Augustine actually served liquor but it was way overpriced. And the bartender and waitresses tend to be bimbos. But then again, some guys go for that.
  14. There may be more than just money, but Ralph Wilson's Trust only has the team to sell. I don't think a stadium plan plays any role, except for perhaps proof the bidder is serious about keeping the team in WNY. So while they might be interested in a bidder's plans, the local/state govt discussion is NOT part of the bidding process. This is a PRIVATE sale.
  15. I have to think you might be kidding here. Because this is the kind of approach an ignorant, or very arrogant, businessman makes. The team hasn't been successful, therefore there are no competent people in the organization? Ridiculous. Then of course, they would have to replace everyone in the organization. That's a lot of people to hire. What's the chances of not just finding, but getting better people, in all positions? That's a huge undertaking when time and resources could be better spent. But that's the mentality of some on this board.
  16. I suppose it's possible, but this is just confirmation Kelly is talking to whoever will take a meeting. There is nothing here to suggest there was a positive meeting.
  17. The thing here is, Johnny apologized but said he needs to be more careful because he knows, on MNF, all the cameras would be in him. That's NOT the real reason you need to control yourself, Johnny (well, it is one reason, but not the most important one). If that is true (and I'm not sure it is), don't be that way. Don't be that guy. There are way too many people on this board who overreact and make judgments too soon, Don't be that guy. There are way too many people on this board who see the possibilities for any player, unless he is a Bill. Don't be that guy. I'm not suggesting you wear rose colored glasses (they really look like crap) or "drink the Koolaid", but give a Bills player the same consideration you would if he played on another team. Don't covet another player who has as many (or more) questions as a current Bills. Just don't be that guy.
  18. Saw the same scene, which is why my enthusiasm for "would you" was tempered for now. I'm guessing 10 years ago, she looked better.
  19. Perhaps we are just miscommunicating here. Kelly and Gundlach asked to be set up with a bidder. And JBJ is a bidder, ergo he got what he asked for. But the reports say Morgan Stanley (perhaps on the direction of The Trust perhaps not) advised JBJ to approach Kelly to help legitimize the TO groups bid. We may be, when all is said and done, saying the same thing here. But Kelly probably wasn't asking for SM to send JBJ to him to use him as legitimizer. I'd just assume leave The Trust out of this as they haven't been implicated in any of the reports. They could very well be involved, I'd just hate to make that speculation.
  20. Again, mostly agree. But I think EJ does have something special about him. I'm not sure I've ever seen a QB this young as relaxed when things go sideways. He clearly has the physical talent, he's reportedly a very hard worker and is quite coachable. Unlike a lot of former Bills QBs he doesn't seem to ever be flustered or down on himself. That could serve him well going forward. If he can be a game manager now, he could develop into a legit franchise QB. There is nothing at the moment, other than his accuracy, that would hold him back.
  21. Maybe Trent before the injury, where he lost the ability to let it go,. Trent actually had some potential then. And chroise!
  22. Your report conflicts with both Graham and Kryk. The meeting was for JBJ and not Kelly, according to their reports. I understand why MS (not The Trust--at least that's what;s reported) would arrange a meeting for Kelly, but that isn't what we have been told. BTW, I'm not suggesting you are wrong. If you have inside info on this I can believe that is the case,. But it is in conflict with what has been reported.
  23. I will agree to a point. He has more talent than Fitz, better arm strength for instance. But Fitz has experience, smarts and guts (maybe too much). I'm not begging for Cousins to come to the Bills, but I'd love to see what he can do with 16-20 games under his belt. I think he'd be the clear starter in Houston based on potential alone. Unlike many guys here, I don't write QBs off this early. These guys are still developing to a degree. The younger they are, the more they have a shot. With the right team, a strong running game and D, a decent OL and guys can develop. Hell Brady couldn't throw deep with any consistency for the first couple years. He got strong! Would Romo have been ready when he came into the NFL? Alex Smith has come a long way since his early days in SF. I'm not saying because Romo or Smith did it, anyone can, And I'm not suggesting any of these guys has Brady potential. But sometimes you have to let it play out. Too many people (and I'm not talking about you C Bisq, as you tend to be reasonable) think they are QB experts who can predict a QBs career arc after a few games. There are so many variables that help to make one successful or a bust. The right coaches for your style/psychology. A decent OL. RBs that protect. WRs that come back and help out the QB. An popular aging vet looking over your shoulder, instead of helping you succeed. Some guys can tough out the bad times, some can't and some don't have to.
